I find two things very interesting about this ending of ECW. I do not see how WWE is going to get a network to commit to this NXT show. With no big stars how is it going to draw ratings? Afterall rating is what this whole thing is about, with them come sponcerships. Why would a network keep ashow long if it dosen't make enough money from it, this is as big a risk as XFL. Secondly I wonder if the "ECW" name is being retired because it is hurting the original ECW name value. Honestly it will take a hardcore fan, no pun intended to know the difference between the real ECW and the WWECW. If I saw a DVD set with ECW on it I would take a second look to be sure I was not getting down the water downed version of the product.
