The problem Shane & Steph had, is that no matter how big a corporation like WWE is, you can still only have 1 person at the top, and you can only really properly groom a small number of people for that top job from within. So if due to her relationship with HHH, the decision was to train Stephanie from Within, it'd make sense for Shane to step away. Shane's interests lied more in the digital media / IT side of things, so he went and worked with some massive companies in that area, and for all we know, his work with You In Demand may have paved the way for the WWE Networks very existence. I don't buy the "tension" for 1 minute. Everything they've done makes sense from personal and business points of view... But of course that doesn't make you click an extra 5 links a day now, does it.
