I just watched this show, my first TNA in an age. All I really have to say on the show is I'm amazed the 'E hasn't come calling for Madison and/or Hernandez yet. They both stand head and shoulders above most of the rest of the roster for me and fit gaps WWE should be looking to fill in their own roster as I understand it.

Sting's angle all along has been, "Cmon Hulk, you got one more match in ya!" So it makes sense that he would try and stop him from retiring. The shots of the lady in the crowd that was crying was a nice touch.

I fear that TNA will feel like giving us Sting v. Hogan will give us the feel good ending to the biggest show of the year, and help us forget that Bobby Roode was screwed out of his title shot due to interference by Gunner.

Sting just started talking in the back. Hogan wound up not even making an announcement except that he would make an announcement next week. It was weird because it seemed like a real role reversal, especially if Hogan really is retiring. Unless there's a swerve, which obviously is likely, it will be weird to see Sting trying to stop him from retiring and leaving.

Decent show.

The recap of the Tara/Madison feud made me realize just how poorly Madison has been used, and how much she has been wasted, since she lost the title. And the knockouts division has suffered as a result.

I'm in the camp that someone is going to turn on Roode. They're doing a great job pushing Roode, and the very obvious, very right thing to do would be to have Roode win. That's why I'm convinced that he won't -- it is TNA, after all.

I had a mini mark-out moment when AJ missed the Pele. I've never seen him miss the Pele before. And then in the after-match interview he even said "do you know how many times I've missed on the Pele before? Goose egg." That was really cool.

My DVR cut off the end of the show (even though I gave it extra time -- why do they over-run on a pre-taped show?!?!??!) so I don't know if Stink came out to interrupt Hogan's announcement. I hope so, because it's pretty gay otherwise. If only it were true that he were retiring, we'd all be much happier.

The one MASSIVE negative of this show for me was the piped in crowd noise. People have complained about it before, but it never bothered me until this week. It was sooooo obvious! Especially during the opening segment with Stink. Not a single person in the crowd was reacting and yet there were tons of cheers and boos. It just looks so stupid. I'd rather they had silence. The piped in noise almost ruins the show.

Didn't see the show, but I wonder if it's kind of the equivalent of Tommy Dreamer wearing ECW shirts throughout his career...basically saying that Roode is a TNA guy and (kinda literally) wears it on his sleeve.

And I will say that I like TNA giving a guy his first shot at the big time at their biggest PPV of the year. This is something the WWE hasn't done in a while at WrestleMania (I want to say Mysterio at WrestleMania 22 was the last time they did it) and I don't think TNA has ever done it at Bound For Glory. So kudos to them for giving Roode his first title shot at their biggest show of the year.

And while I'm the subject, and dammit I had to do some digging to find this, originally said by me back on July 15th:

I'm a genius! Or not.

Makes it seem like someone might turn on him. Maybe Storm. I hope not because that would probably stall him completely.

Almost as dumb as Sting wearing a Hogan shirt. What's up with that?

Would have rather seen Shelly win that x-match. Also, it exposed Sorensen a little. He's a great athlete, tons of talent, but he needs to learn to improvise (can't just ignore a guy with a chair) and how to sell (ddt on a ladder should knock him out, not make him bounce around like crazy).

I really liked the Roode montage where it showed him training, his family, etc. Reminded me of the Hart/Michaels vignettes leading up to their Iron Man match years ago.

And I agree with the above, with all this build-up, Angle's continued issues outside of wrestling, etc., I really hope this means they make him the champ.

Two responses thus far? Look like all the exclamation points (!) scared everyone else from watching.

Good match between Roode and Styles, as well as the X-Division Ladder Match. Everything else was pretty forgettable.

Lots of exclamation points! There's no possible way that this one is gonna suck!
