RE~RAILING! Rumors regarding the potential rift within the McMahon clan keep sprouting up online and how this potential shift in dynamics backstage might be having adverse effects on the promoting of NXT's Takeover: Dallas special. This past Monday night there was absolutely no mention of the special taking place the Friday before Wrestlemania, on April 1st. According to Dave Meltzer: While many backstage are said to be upset by the glaring omission on Monday night. Especially considering the positive reactions to the NXT Tag Title match on Roadblock this past Saturday. Others are saying this is part of a conspiracy involving Kevin Dunn to undermine the success of NXT and by proxy that of its talent and its figurehead Triple H. It should also be noted that there apparently is no love lost between Triple H and Dunn, and that it's believed by many that Dunn's status with the company would probably come into question if/when Triple H and Stephanie take control of the company. :tinfoil: I don't know, this all just seems way too juicy and perhaps a little too convenient, doesn't it? I imagine that there is definitely potential for Vince to have some hard feelings about how NXT is received compared to the main roster of shows. Those misgivings could only be magnified when taking into consideration the terrible string of injuries, booking miscalculations and general unrest of their viewers leading into Wrestlemania this year. But to purposely downplay one of, if not maybe their only, surefire thing going? That's highly suspect. But then again, despite their attempts to prove otherwise, this is still a carny business no matter how many clean coats of paint they try to cover it up with. Common sense rarely plays a factor, at least maybe from our perspective, in the daily operations of WWE. What I'm wondering is if there's anybody else reading this that thinks maybe this whole backstage "McMachinations" thing that's going on right now isn't just part of the new way to work the s/marks? Is it beyond the realm of possibility that this is just a meta-work? [Edited on 3/18/2016 by CM Crunk]
