Originally posted by Paddlefoot I can't see any of this being a reflection of a real upper management fight at WWE. For all the frustration of dealing with Vince & Dunn on a daily basis StepHHH still seem to get their way enough. They been prominently featured in endless Authority storylines going back what seems to be at least five years. The revitalized Diva scene occurred with them. Yeah, it happened in large part because AJ Lee called Steph out about it on Twitter but at the same time it wouldn't have happened at all without Steph pushing it too. DB and CM Punk, despite what the real haters think, held huge positions in the spotlight for months and years on end. If is had all been up to Vince & Dunn none of that would have happened at all. Instead of Pipebomb and Yes Movement it would have been "know what the fans will like? a lot more Orton, Big Show, and Sheamus gunning for the title!". Can't even assume that what happens on the shows translates into behind the scenes tension. Whatever happens in those weekly production meetings probably has a lot of yelling and fighting in the boardroom going on. If they're like any other corporation though every one in the meeting comes out of it on the same page, even if they want to kill each other behind closed doors. StepHHH can afford to play a long-game anyway. Vince's retirement is inevitable someday. When the papers are signed Dunn's employment will be terminated in the space of a few minutes. New people in critical positions, maybe even the permanent return of the likes of Shane or JR, and a whole new world opens up. No one in their right minds, even if dealing with a nut like Vince can get to be too much some days, is going to give up that kind of opportunity when it's just a matter of time. * terrific list of historical future endeavourings by WWF/WWE over the years. Includes the bullshit ones, the much-deserved ones, and wacky as hell ones. http://www.dailywrestlingnews.com/future-endeavored-18-most-talked-about-terminations-in-wwe-history/ * can't recommend this series of interview clips with Jake The Snake highly enough. The guy is truly humble, well spoken, and doesn't shit over anyone that doesn't deserve it. Apparently his only real lifelong heat is with Honky Tonk Man, not over the incident where Honky hit him with the guitar and gave him a legit bad neck injury, but over something that Jake won't elaborate on. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dgJKAMjZE38" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> [Edited on 3/21/2016 by Paddlefoot]
