So I found this on the web today:
quote:
According to PWInsider.com, WWE is working on a film project that would work as an Undertaker origin story, explaining how The Undertaker we all know today came to be.
The project has no tenative title yet and is still in the developmental stage. It's likely that the movie will be a straight-to-DVD project.
I'm looking forward to the part of the movie where the Undertaker turns into a biker dude that listens to Limp Bizkit.
I'm interested in how they explain why an undead phenom would turn to wrestling.
Whoever plays Katie Vick is a surefire frontrunner for best supporting actress Oscar. That role has "award" written all over it.

quote:
- As noted over the weekend, WWE is planning a movie based on the origin of The Undertaker character, reportedly a Western set in the 1800's. The project does not have any actors or writers at this point but is in WWE Studios' plans for 2010-2011. The current projected budget for the movie is in the $3.5 million range, indicating that it's a direct to DVD film.
Oh, so someone bought the rights to Saint of Killers from DC?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_of_Killers#Saint_of_Killers
so does that mean that Kane is also over 100 years old? or was Mama Undertaker just still popping those babies out when Paul Bearer had his fling with
her decades later?
Also, do you think they'll redo that scene in A Fistful of Dollars where Clint Eastwood no-sells a couple dozen rounds of bullets -- except
unlike Eastwood, Undertaker *doesn't* have a plate of body armor underneath his poncho?

Well, if Undertaker has a mutant healing factor that would explain all the no-selling
This movie has to be directed by Rob Zombie and have Sheri Moon Zombie play Katie Vick. Danny Trejo has to have a part as well. He should be cast
because it's Danny fuckin Trejo! The clown from The Devil's Rejects can be Paul Bearer.
And cameos/roles by Bruce Willis, Jason Lee, Harvey Keitel, Rosario Dawson, Rainn Wilson, and Steve Buscemi as Jimmy the Retard.

Think they'll bring up stuff like this:

If this is the case, I wonder (1) will it at least be better than that awful Kane Origins Novel that WWE Books published a few years back, and (2)

My memory is a bit hazy...but wasn't Katie Vick part of Kane's "Backstory"??
Why would they put her in the Undertaker's movie?
Also, being an origin story, wouldn't that have to deal with him being younger, and therefore played by a different guy than Marc Calloway?
Also, using the standard template of Undertaker promos, will every confrontation with an enemy end with him telling them they'll REST. IN.
PEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAACCE?

And there has to be a mentor kind of part for either Sam Elliott or Ian McShane.
I don't want to be friends with anyone who can't enjoy a 19th century western starring the undertaker.
