So, according to PWInsider.com, via 411mania.com...

- Kurt Angle has been telling people that he almost fought Kimbo Slice in an MMA bout.

I hope this is true for two reasons.

First, the idea of Kurt Angle and Kimbo Slice fighting at all sounds hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

Second, it makes me laugh that Kurt Angle is telling people he "almost" fought a guy once. Almost fought? Well, slow clap for you, chum.

It'd be nice if a fighter, even one as inept as Kimbo, really did lay a beating on Kurt Angle. It'd be about the only thing that would definitively put an end to all these Kurt-to-UFC bullshit rumours that've been springing up for the last four years.

I read that Kurt said he basically turned it down because he was supposed to have to be able to fight in a few weeks, instead of the few months he felt he needed.

At any rate, I would have paid to see Kimbo KO him into next week with the first punch of the fight. Kurt needs a wake up call before he goes down in flames. It's getting fucking insane at this point.


I wouldn't be surprised if he sugar coated it and in fact failed the medicals in grand style.
