I still think the Warriors are winning this series. Curry had his worst game of the year, and it still took the Cavs OT to beat them.

unless Curry is on the verge of a near-biblical cold streak, the Warriors are closing this out sooner than later. the Cavs offense is hot garbage,
and their defense just barely survived the worst shooting game of Steph's career. I hope i'm not veering towards "he must hate lebron"
territory, I have a friend that thinks i'm rooting against him. He's an all time great who's doing everything in his power to drag
this shit show to wins in the finals. The Warriors haven't played a good game this series, and when they do, they're going to win by 30.

I still think the Warriors win the series, but I guess I should have stuck with my original "Warriors in six" prediction. 
Nash is only a few inches bigger than JBL and depending on how stiff he gets Punk should be able to take it. -JB King, meant in a totally non-sexual

It's been an amazing, terrific run this year. I can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner, I would have been bombing it on the
regular. From Kyrie scoring 55 on my bday all the way to a historic Cleveland Game #3 win last night, this has been one helluva season. Just a few
random (playoff-related) thoughts first:
* the 1st big disappointment for me was the performance of the Hawks. Great, all-time season for them, but giving up 2 games to Brooklyn in the 1st
round was just the beginning. By the time Conference finals rolled around they were toast. LeBron clearly asserted himself as the dominant player on
the dominant team that whole series. I still joke about Dellavedova being a "dirty player" from this series, but the Cavs just fucking killed them.
* I'm a die-hard native Celtics junkie, so of course I was marking HARD all throughout the Chase for 8th and their first round battle against
the Cavs. If the stories are true, and the Cavs were trying to manipulate the standings a bit to make sure they faced the Celts, then basketball
karma got them back with some of the chippiest basketball I've seen played in a while. Ripped out shoulders, spinning backfist KOs that Jon
Jones would have been proud of, this series had them all. Even in defeat, I was proud of my boys and have reinvigorated hope for the future. Ainge
can pull a rabbit out of his hat at any time.
* Speaking of the Celtics, that means I'm also a satellite Washington/Memphis/Dallas (whooops! Not Dallas anymore!) fan as well, and goddamn
was Washington vs Atlanta a fun series. Like LeBron & DRose trading game winners, it was heaven to see Paul Pierce lighting up the sky again like
that. To have that series end on a revoked game-tying 3-pointer from the Truth was about the best finish (from a pro wrestling booking standpoint)
that you could ask for from Washington, minus a win.
* My second biggest disappointment of the Playoffs were the Spurs, who I also love & adore. I became a Clippers fan by the end of that series, much
as I felt after watching Bret Hart vs Stone Cold from WM13. But to see them croak against Houston (admittedly NOT my favorite team) made it all a
waste.
* Which starts bringing me back around to last night. The Golden State Warriors (Steph in particular) have been MAGICAL to watch this season.
Amazing, supernatural, I can't heap enough hyperbole upon his performance. He may have supplanted KD in my mind as my personal favorite
modern-day player. The way they breezed through the playoffs, it had people thinking "destiny". Then when KLove got his shoulder ripped out (KO,
stand up!). Then again for sure when Kyrie split a kneecap.
So it's somewhat shocking (but not at all surprising) to see the Finals results so far. Lebron (I mean, "Cavs") lead 2-1 and in hindsight, it
should almost be 3-0. I thought LeBron choking to death nearly a dozen times at the end of Game #2 was hilarious, and their "win" was a lucky
fluke. I know LeBron is positioned as a babyface now, and even my kids sorta like him after seeing all the depressing video packages on how shitty &
unlucky Cleveland is as a sports town. With all Lebron's heavy firepower snapping like dry tinder, he even has some of that sympathetic "me vs
the world" underdog-type appeal. But watching him play, I just can't bring myself to root openly for him! I don't know why! I am
impressed by what he can do (sometimes), but I can't bring myself to put him on the deity level alongside MJ, Magic & Jordan (for example).
LeBron is more demi-God status. That's not a bad thing, he's still better than everybody playing today. But historically I think he will
always be one shade under the top level.
Steph Curry started picking up steam in the 2nd half last night, but it was too little too late. I am however, putting my money where my mouth is
practically *GUARANTEEING* a Warriors Game #4 victory. I don't like Dellavedova, he annoys me and he's not great. Whoopee you dove for a
couple balls - Larry Bird did it every game. And poor Matty went to the hospital after with cramping. I hate to sound like grouchy old man on the
lawn, so I'll just quote one of the talking heads from the morning radio shows I listen to when discussing LeBron's legacy - "Larry Bird
would never have left an NBA Finals game with "cramps" like Lebron did last year". I DO love Tristan Thompson though, he's awesome.
Especially after seeing him survive a near-powerbomb from Kelly Olynick in the 1st round - and popping right back up. Enough of that pussy, soccer,
European-inspired softness that really pisses me off about the modern day game. Tristan Thompson proved to me he's one of the genuine tough
guys. Word to Steph Curry too after that crazy spill he took in the Houston series. I was *PETRIFIED* when that happened!
All in all, it's been a great season, I'm rooting for the Warriors, and I said they would do it in 7. Seems about right so far.

I'm a big Spurs fan as well (I kind of adopted them as my team during the two years that we were pro basketball-less here in Charlotte), so was
bummed to see them go out in the first round, especially after winning the championship last year. On the flipside, there was probably no way they
were making the finals again this year with how stacked the West is, so I can take solace in that at least.

Yeah, I'm fairly confident the Warriors win Game 4 tomorrow night, and then will win again back at home on Sunday to take a 3-2 lead.

Somebody needs to gif that up. Awesome in-game moment, but what made it all-time was Andrew Bogut's postgame response. Pure Bobby Heenan.
Lebron James jumped INTO the cameraman! "That's how I saw it, that's how it was!" LOLOLOLOLOL So great! Reminds me of Heenan's
comment after HBK put Jannetty through the barbershop window. Great moment, can't wait to see the NBA "mini-movie" for Game #4 on youtube.
Warriors finally played the game we all expected from them in the first place. I predict Warriors take Game 5 & 7 to win the series.

I think that as valiantly as Lebron and the Cavs have played, they are out of gas at this point, while the Warriors have found their groove. I'm
going to go ahead and predict that the Warriors take the next two to win the series, though I would love to see it go to seven games.

It's odd how the narrative of a series changes. After game 3, the talk was that the Cavs could have been up 3-0 (and possibly deserved to be),
and now folks want to say that the Cubs have figured things out, the Cavs are out of gas, and the series is all but done.
Which could be the case...
But I'd argue the Cavs have one more adjustment game, and if the the team and coaches are worth anything, should be able to force the Dubs from
getting off to a good start by going small again.
And here's something that sucks...IF the Warriors win, they will not be the story. It will be that LeBron is over rated and can't will a
team to win. Which is horse crap when you look at the two Cavs teams that he got to the finals, the lack of depth on that first Miami team, and him
and Bosh dragging the corpse of D-Wade the last year in Miami. But that will be whats gets ratings, and page views...meanwhile Curry and Co could
bring a whole extra level to Nash style pace and space. The Spurs won last year, but they had one of, if not THE, best big men of all time. If the
Warriors win, and win after going super small, it could convince some teams to go even smaller.
Until Anthony Davis and the top picks of this year's draft remind folks you can't teach height.

Just too much for LeBron to overcome. One of the most stacked teams in 20 years against LeBron and backups and LeBron is making it close.
He's amazing but he's just coming up short.
Also, I thought Klay Thompson was good but these playoffs are proving something else. Maybe he'll figure it out going forward.

I'd say Klay is good, but he's clearly the Scottie Pippen at Golden State (without his overall game). The Warriors are so deep that he
doesn't have to be lights out. As long as Curry is Curry and someone else steps up, Thompson doesn't have to be great.

When Klay was negotiating last year he reportedly refused to take less than the max of what he could possibly get while Curry had taken a discount a
few years earlier. Now, there's a report that the Warriors will match any offer sheet Green signs but since that's common knowledge,
there probably won't be many suitors (because it will tie up that money for three days and essentially be a waste of time/resources/opportunity
for anyone else). But the Warriors are apparently hesitant on offering Green more than they paid Klay because they don't want to hurt
Klay's feelings. Throw in Klay's dad being a dick and Klay being super unimpressive in the playoffs and I can't really say that I
care for the guy, especially the way some Warriors fans are over valuing him these days.

Dubs were the better team...and the only healthy team in the series. That adds up to them cementing their place as having one of the best seasons
ever.
That being said....
The Malone over MJ thing is not as silly as LeBron not getting Finals MVP. He is the 1st player in NBA Finals history to lead BOTH teams in points,
assists & rebounds for entire series. Look at the minutes he had to play. Meanwhile the Dubs were able to win despite bad games from Curry, Klay being
bad this series, and Bogat and Green being less than what you'd expect from them. And considering Iggy's lack of importance for the first
3 games...there's just no justification there.

Everybody knows LeBron was the MVP but some of the guys voting just will never vote a guy from the losing team as FMVP. I think it was 7-4 Iggy
over LeBron. Steph didn't even get a vote.
