GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) series on Netflix

I watched the GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) series on Netflix this past weekend. It was very entertaining and an enjoyable nostalgia trip for those of us who remember GLOW from when it was on in the late 80s (Mountain Fiiiii -Jiiiiiii.)

There are lots of wrestler cameos, terms, and tidbits that only marks will pick up like the gym being named Chavos Gym. Chavo Guerrero trained the actresses on the series, which is a nod to his Uncle Mando Guerrero training the original GLOW girls back in the 80s. I wont spoil all of them here, but keep on the lookout for a certain Puerto Rican holding an Apple, a large - former dancing man, and that guys daughter. Yep, its her. There are plenty of others for you to find but the credits use actual names so you may need to do some digging to figure them out.

The series is not totally autobiographical, as it loosely follows the story of GLOW. Netflix also has the GLOW documentary if you want to check that out. (Tina Ferrari (Ivory) - yumm)

Check it out. Most of the women are hot, its entertaining, they have Awesome Kong as one of the girls (she does great BTW), if you remember the original GLOW theyll be lots of characters that look familiar.
