The Return of Triple H. What?
Sorry to be the cynical bastard here, but is that what weve been waiting eight months for? It was great and all seeing Triple H back in the ring,
back on the mike, but all he did was ten minutes of posing and Rrrraaaaghrr, I AM THE GAME AND IM ENTERING THE ROYAL RUMBLE! before Angle came out
and a beat down ensued.
I guess the whole thing was awesome, but I dont know, I guess I was looking for a little more substance to the whole return.
If this is what they wanted to do, couldnt they have done it in the opening segment, then use periodic backstage segments with Triple H building up
to a larger final segment? The way they hyped it, it should have been the entire show.
And what happened to the whole Ric Flair/Stephanie thing that theyve been building for the past month. Wasnt Flair supposed to be wary of Triple
Hs return. Not one word about it. Thats what frustrated me about this writing team, but thats another topic.
Anyway, is all this just me, or are there others that were disappointed last night. Id like to know.

Yes. You hit the nail on the head there Dude. It was shocking. Sure, the fans Live probably got a Kick out of it. But nothing has changed by HHH
coming back. Kurt Angle insults Triple H, wow! We've seen it all beforeand We can all see what's comign a Mile off. HHH Dumps Steph and she starts
dating Kurt Angle, thus finishing off the Angle that was Abandoned in Mid 2000. Yawn.

It was smart business to basically show that he's back without giving away any of his intentions. As hyping the hell out of his return probably
spiked the ratings ( not official ), and now Smackdown! may have a ratings spike as well with people tuning in to see what HHH is thinking. Why would
Vince give it all away on one show? Last night was about HHH getting his deserved acknowkledgement. Tonight will be when they blow the angle
offically. By the way - Angle was hysterical last night. " I tore my quadriceps this morning...."

I wasn't expecting HHH to wrestle but I was expecting more of a promo than he gave. It was a given that he was going to enter the Rumble so he could
be in the main event at WM.
At least I didn't have to hear Screechin' Steph. Steph won't necessarily end up with Angle. She could just as easily end up with Jericho. This
would put more heat on Jericho-HHH match at WM. Although no matter what Vince tries, Jericho will still be a face in Toronto.

I'm biased since I'm a huge Hunter fan, but I thought it was done almost perfectly. He came out, got the cheer he deserved (I honestly thought it
looked like he was getting really emotional about it. Did you see how many times he had to remind himself to scowl instead of just soaking in the
cheers? Wow), and reminded people he was alive.
And I pers0nally would have loved to see more of a showdown, but in my view, what they wanted to do was to just have him show up and throw his hat
into the ring (no pun intended) for having some storyline go to with. I personally though didn't think that Steph would show up yet.
Or, maybe the fed was just playing their cards close to their chest. WIth him being gone for 8 months, and with them pushing ads down our throat about
him being there tonight, maybe they just wanted to see what the reaction would be for him, before they went into anything too deep.
Anyway, overall, he looked awesome and I think they handled it well.

I can understand the WWF using RAW to show HHH back, then use Smackdown to have HHH talk, the problem is lately the WWF doesn't bother much in the
way of continuity or layered story telling. I wouldn't be surprised if they just go in to a HHH/Angle feud.
On a side note, you can't tell me its healthy to bulk up the way HHH did. I mean, he must have lost some of his mobility.

Haitch might be smart to back off the musclitude (it's a word...now) a bit. HGH isn't all that bad for a healthy person to take, compared to some
other stuff, but it's really bad for damaged tissue (hence, all the minor congenital heart defects killing wrestlers). With his bad leg, it might be
best that he not keep sticking that needle in his ass.

Yes, that segment was DEFINATELY way over-hyped. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see HHH back - RVD was about the only reason I've been
watching since August - but I expected him to make more of an impact on his first night back than what he did.
