Triple H?
Is anyone else thinking that Triple H will come back as a heel? Wouldn't it be tough to explain:
1. The split with Stephanie
2. Not going after Austin after Stone Cold went off on him right after the injury (attributing the tag belt loss to him)
3. The fact that there's not really any dominant heels (UT experiment failing, Jericho experiment only just gaining steam, Angle just hanging
out)
with a face Triple H? Hell I'm probably just overanalyzing, hence my name. Any thoughts?

It won't matter if they want HHH to be a face or a heel, he's getting a massive face pop on Monday night. There's no *way* they'll be able to
turn him heel for months, given how popular he was, how long he's been gone and they way they've built him up during that time.
You know, with HHH a face and the Undertaker in the mid-card, Jericho's pretty much stuck in the main event by default... Angle's doing nothing,
I'm sorry to say, Benoit's still got a few months. It's just Jericho and Booker T right now, sucka.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I've now posted... FIVE TIMES! (Five times.) :D

HHH as face...
It just seems like the route they're taking, with the video promo featuring music from U2, that it's gonna go a face route. And even if they try
otherwise, they've done too good a job making people love and respect HHH.
Mind you, HHH had a lot of respect in his last couple months in the WWF, and still managed to get the boos.
Somehow I don't think he'll be able to get the crowd to hate him... even if they boo when he lashes out at the hometown in a common heel tactic, I
think they'll go back to cheering him. Especially if he's facing a less popular wrestler, he'll get more cheers.
And although this would be more of a long shot, I get the impression that even with the mainstream fans he'd still get cheered to an extent if he
were facing the golden boys -- Austin and The Rock. I might be wrong about that one, though...
If they DO decide to push him as a heel, they'll be shoving it down our throats for a while before people start to accept it. A more natural route to
take, considering a lot of roles have reversed since last time HHH was around (Austin now a face, Jericho and Undertaker now heels), HHH would fit
more into storylines as making a comeback for to prove the injury didn't set him back. Just seems like a face thing to do.

HHH as a heel...
Given the attention span and short term memory of most wrestling fans, Austin going off on HHH after his injury is ancient history. I doubt they'd
have any real explaining to do to the majority of the fan base, and therefore, I feel it is a non issue.
Besides, who says that even if they do being him back face, where is the rule that two faces have to like each other. HBK and Austin hated each other
during the Hart Foundation days, and they both still got cheers. It's very possible that given Austin's character, they would be able to bring rant
up, and still keep Austin over as a face.

I think people are forgetting exactly how good Triple H was at getting people to hate him. I guarantee than if he wanted to, he could return as a
monster face and STILL end up having everyone chanting "ASSHOLE" by the time the hour was up.
Remember after Wrestlemania when the crowd was about to lose it they were wanting to cheer Triple H so badly, and yet in the end it was him and Austin
hugging and the crowd hating him more than ever.

HHH needs to be a heel, and I think he will be in due time. It will be very interesting to see how they try to pull it off - it wasn't overly
successful with Austin, and Austin was awesome in the role.

Helmsley (I refuse to use "HHH" or "Triple H") will be back as a face, there is no doubt about it. And this will be by choice and by design. Sure
he could cut a scathing promo and be booed by the end of the night, but by "thursday" on smackdown, he will be getting cheered again.
He is easily one of the best all-around wrestlers/sports entertrainers the sport has ever had and he can dictate his future to a degree, but he will
be a face for a while. I do think he will feud with Austin or Maivia, but it will be a face vs face fight.
But, either way, thank god for Hunters return. The saviour has come home.

It's a sure thing that Triple H will be returning to a monster pop and it will spoil any initial attempts at being a heel. I'd be looking for one
thing to determine how he's going to go. If he dumps Steph on Monday, he's a face. He opts to stay by Steph's side, I'd say the heel Triple H
would be returning. Either way, it's a lock to have Triple H vs. Austin main eventing Wrestlemania, and I doubt they'll be turning Austin heel
again.

I beleive HHH was interviewed one time and he stated that he hated being a babyface, that being a Heel was so much more satisfying and fun.
My prediction: HHH starts out a heel, then as the weeks go on, hell start doing more and more dickish things, and at No Way Out, he'll pull the final
straw and do the big heel turn, leading up to him and Rock or Austin at WM.
Of course, I could be wrong.....

HHH takes Royal Rumble
Heel or face, my prediction is that HHH will win the Royal Rumble. What better way to put over his full recovery? From
there it's a program w/Jericho for the title, then into the Wrestlemania main event (probably a 3 way against Austin and Rock).

I think they are setting up HHH to be a heel. By having Ric Flair rebuff Steph, when HHH comes back he can align w/ Vince and screw over Ric (at
Royal Rumble, maybe?), he will definitely gain The People's Ire. However, it will be more difficult to reconcile Steph and Vince (though the way the
WWF writers are going, they'll just put them together again and screw storyline continuity). If they could get a heel "WWF" faction led by Vince
and HHH, and a face "WCW" faction led by Ric Flair, then this would go a long way in putting over WCW as a viable group. Of course, since Vince has
buried WCW, this won't happen, but...

I think HHH will be HHH and let the chips fall as they may.. he is always a semi heel/face anyway..
here is MY plan.. remember.. i am insane...
Stephy keeps saying "when my husband gets back"
Now.. she is a heel.. so what if he comes back and tells Stephy to get lost?
Then with Stephy all alone she FINALLY hooks up with Y2J?
That would make Y2J more heelish, and in turn make HHH more face and would be pretty damn entertaining...
now THAT is my plan.. get me that job in Conn. !

If he comes back as a face, that could create a huge opportunity for other wrestlers. We would then have Austin, the Rock and HHH all as monster
faces, and the chance for Jericho, Angle, Booker, Test (unfortunately), etc., all the chance of major feuds.
With all the mention that Stephanie is giving lately about HHH coming back and helping her, I see a split there. Perhaps Angle helping her back
into the WWF, and voila, insta feud.
And really, Jericho putting HHH out of wrestling for a while (storyline purposes), is all the jumpstart that feud needs.
Either way, I have not watched wrestling for a while, and HHH is making me watch this monday night.
