The Debut of Low-ki, The end of Knox/Rey and the return of the Cruiserweights

So it sounds like everyones hating on the Knox/Rey feud (cant blame you) and skeptical about the impact Low-ki will make in the WWE (again, cant blame you). Well, Ive got an idea that will solve all of that (even though it will never happen).

Royal Rumble After months of random attacks by Mike Knox, Rey finally gets his revenge by eliminating Knox from the Royal Rumble. However, his victory is short-lived as Knox pulls him out of the ring, beats the crap out of him, and then powerbombs him through the announce table. This eliminates Rey from the Rumble and writes him out for a week or two.

Raw 1/26 Todd Grisham interviews Knox to finally get the scoop on why he keeps attacking Rey. Why shouldnt I? says Knox Hes a professional wrestler, hes supposed to be so great, so if he wants me to stop beating him up then he should do something about it. Suddenly, from off-camera, we hear a deep, Undertaker-like voice say Why dont you pick on someone your own size? Knox turns around and comes face to chest with the surprisingly diminutive Low-ki, then laughs and insults him. Low-ki slaps the taste out of his mouth and starts backing away, laughing. Knox chases him into the ring, where Ki goads him into charging him in the corner, dodges, and blasts him with a kick to the head like the one he hit on Prince Nana in the first ROH tournament. When Knox goes down, Ki grabs him by the hair and kicks him in the face a dozen times, busting him open and breaking his nose. Then he goes up top, finishes him off with the Warriors Way and leaves him lying in a pool of blood as Cole and King try to figure out who this guy is.

Raw 2/2 Ki comes to the ring, introduces himself (by whatever his WWE name is), and starts talking about how its time for the little guy to get some respect, but hes interrupted by Miz and Morrison. They say hell never get respect because hes not a Slammy winner or a champion, and then mock his voice. Eventually, Miz shoves him and Ki responds with roundhouse to the face. Morrison attacks him and whips him off the ropes but Ki hits him with the Tidal Wave and leaves.

ECW 2/3 Ki takes on Morrison in an awesome 15 minute match. Before Ki can get the win, Miz interferes and the heels start beating him down. Evan Bourne makes his return and saves Ki, then challenges Miz and Morrison to a tag title match on Raw.

Raw 2/9 Bourne and Ki take on Miz and Morrison for the tag titles. After about 10 minutes of action, Knox comes out and attacks Low-ki. Before the faces can get totally destroyed, Rey Mysterio makes his return and saves the day. A 6-man tag match is scheduled for ECW, with a tag title rematch and Knox vs Mysterio scheduled for No Way Out.

ECW 2/10 The faces win the 6 man tag.

No Way Out 2/15 Rey wins his match, ending his feud with Knox, but Bourne/Ki lose to Miz/Morrison and some underhanded tactics.

Raw 2/16 Miz and Morrison come out and say that its time for them to achieve one of their 2009 goals, uniting the tag titles, because if they need to be on every show, then they may as well be the champs on every show. Ki and Bourne come out and say that they still have to get past them first. Miz and Morrison try to laugh it off, but eventually they come to blows. This leads to a Bourne/Morrison singles match, which Bourne wins.

ECW 2/17 Ki and Miz have a 1-on-1 match. Ki wins.

Smackdown 2/20 Primo and Carlito accept Miz and Morrisons challenge, but The Brian Kedrick and Ezekiel come out and demand to be part of that match. Miz and Morrison come out and say they dont care who they fight, but theyre only fighting 1 team. Kendrick/Ezekiel challenge Primo/Carlito to a title match next week, then attack. Both teams beat down the Colons, but Ki and Bourne make the save.

Raw 2/23 Ki/Bourne get a rematch against Miz and Morrison, but Kendrick/Ezekiel interfere.

ECW 2/24 8 man tag match. Colons/Bourne/Ki vs Miz/Morrison/Kendrick/Ezekiel. Eh, lets say the faces win.

Smackdown 2/27 Kendrick/Ezekiel beat the Colons and win the title after accidental interference by Ki/Bourne. Afterwards, theres a lot of shoving between the faces.

Raw 3/2 Ki/Bourne face Miz/Morrison for their titles. The Colons try to screw Ki/Bourne but accidentally cost Miz/Morrison the match. Ki/Bourne are the new champions.

Smackdown 3/6 Colons vs Ki/Bourne for their tag titles. Miz, Morrison, Ezekiel, and Kendrick interfere and take out the faces.

Raw 3/9 Miz/Morrison vs Kendrick/Ezekiel for their tag titles. Kendrick/Ezekiel win and keep their belts.

ECW 3/10 Miz/Morrison come out for the Dirt Sheet and they are totally pissed that they dont have any championships. They start ripping on the other tag teams, who show up and spark a huge brawl.

Smackdown 3/13 Colons vs Miz/Morrison, winner is inserted into a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania to unify the tag titles. Match goes to a no-contest after the other 2 tag teams get involved.

Raw 3/16 Miz/Morrison come out and say that this has gone on long enough. Theyre 2 time Slammy award winners and they want their championships. They challenge the other teams to a four-way ladder match to unify the tag titles and they dont want to wait for Wrestlemania. They want it at this weeks Smackdown. The other teams accept and have series of singles matches on this Raw and the next nights ECW.

Smackdown 3/20 Miz/Morrison unify the titles after winning a ridiculous ladder match. No ones orbital socket is shattered.

Raw 3/23 Ki and Bourne fight each other for a spot in MITB. Bourne wins. Also, Knox cheats to beat Rey for a spot in MITB.

Raw 3/30 Ki tells Rey that its always been his dream to see if he could hang with Rey in the ring. Since neither of them have anything to do, why dont they find out at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania 4/5 Rey barely squeaks out a victory against Low-ki.

Raw 4/6 Stephanie Mcmahon (or whoever the GM is) and Vickie come down to the ring and talk about how impressed they have been by the matches with Ki, Bourne, Rey, Miz, Morrison, Colons, and Kendrick. In fact, theyre so impressed that they are reviving the cruiserweight title and will have an interbrand tournament to crown the championship.

The tournament will start at 16, go down to 8, and then 4 with the championship decided in a Fatal Fourway at Backlash. Matches will happen on every show but Im not going to break down what happens where/when. The tournament will include (without knowing anyones weight): Morrison, Ki, Bourne, Wang Yang, Rey, Kendrick, Primo, Hornswoggle, Funaki, Chavo, Helms, Santino, Cody Rhodes, JTG, Miz and Carlito. Knox will take out Funaki in order to insert himself into the Round 1 match against Low-ki.

Round 1:

Carlito def Primo
Miz def JTG
Bourne def Cody
Hornswoggle def Santino
Low-ki def Knox
Kendrick def Wang Yang
Rey def Chavo
Morrison def Helms

Round 2:

Rey def Kendrick
Bourne def Carlito
Morrison def Hornswoggle
Low-ki def Miz

In the Fatal Fourway at Backlash, Low-ki defeats Bourne, Morrison, and Rey and begins the Era of Cruiserweight Awesomeness.

Im dreaming, right?

That was 99.8% awesome and I would mark the fuck out if anything approaching that cool happened.

What I didn't like was Hornswoggle in the tournament. I was going to suggest that for shits and giggles you would have Ezekial Jackson take out Hornswoggle and enter himself into the tourney, but then I saw what you did with Knox and it'd be redundant to do that twice. Dos Caras is supposed to debut at the Rumble, right? You could probably throw him in instead of that disgraceful midget. But everything else about your scenario was amazing. Good job.

Thanks. I figured Hornswoggle vs Santino would be a nice comedy match and then beating Hornswoggle would be a nice heelish way for Morrison to move on. But Dos Caras or another real cruiserweight would be fine too.

And yeah, I think just imagining the series of matches I laid out gave me more joy and entertainment than almost any single episode of wrestling this year.

No, I was just talking about Joey Mercury's accident at the last fourway tag title ladder match. I'm not sure what you're talking about.

I can't believe I posted this over a year ago and Low-ki and Dos Caras still haven't debuted and Hornswoggle is still more relevant than Bourne and waaaay more relevant than Carlito or Primo.

Damn!
