Fantasy Show?
Maybe it was because I was just hitting puberty, but I enjoyed the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (to this day, I'll never forget when Susie
Spirit broke her arm!).
Does anyone know if WWE has given thoughts to a Diva-centered show? I know they get ragged on for being less-polished and such, but if you put it on
a late-enough time slot where you could do more with it (i.e. more "evening gown matches" and the like), I think they'd draw a few viewers
from the 13-24-year old male demographic.
Heck, instead of the "throwaway divas" match we get each week on Raw/SD, you could have token "male" matches on the show or cameos... such as
Dolph with Maria, Miz with Maryse ... heck, even Cena and Mickie again.

Man, if there were a show that gave more camera time to Mickie, Melina (as a heel), and Gail Kim (as a heel), I would tune in.
That actually is a decent idea. I don't think it would do shit in the ratings but still...I'd DVR it each week. Especially if they went
back to their Attitude era ways regarding female nudity.

I think TNA is in a much better position both talent-wise and saturization-wise to pull this idea off. But I'd happily DVR and fast forward
through 75% of an all-female show from either company.

Yep, that's pretty much my thoughts on it too. There'd be a bunch of skip-able stuff but to see the girls I liked, I'd be tuning
in.
And I agree that TNA would be better positoned because they allow their girls to show more skin.

I have no idea if this is true (so take it with a grain of salt), but I've read once or twice around the Internet that Smackdown was originally
conceived as an all-Divas show. Though given that WWE was at it's peak at that time, I kind of question the validity of that.
And as long as it didn't completely take the women away from RAW/Smackdown, I could maybe see such a show doing okay in a late night timeslot
(like, Wednesdays at 10:00 or something), but I honestly don't think it would last.

Back in 2006 they were making suspected terrorists in Guantanamo watch 2 hours of Diva matches but Dick Cheney called it off saying it was just too
cruel.
Then he went and shot a girl scout in the face.

1) Hey, uncalled for I think.
2) I'd love to watch an hour-long weekly show of the TNA female division. But fuck all of ya for wanting it to be the pointless evening
gown/no-talent bullshit. Gimme an hour of Melissa, Tara, Angelina, Kong, Taylor, Traci, etc. and I'm there...in fact, if I was allowed to pimp a
different site, there are fantasy booked cards of such a similar idea.

One of the things I seem to remember - aside from the pink ring robes - was that the ring itself was smaller. Watching several of the diva matches,
when they go from corner-to-corner on a turnbuckle whip, it just seems much slower because they are smaller. In an all-diva show, you could shorten
the ring and get better "action" that way. Not to mention, it's hard to get excited about a diva match after Evan Bourne / Rey Mysterio
quickness.
Oh well ... we can all dream, I suppose.

Vaguely related, back a few months ago there was a lot of talk that Jimmy Hart had found a money mark and would be booking/producing a new GLOW-style
show called Wrestlicious. They even produced a couple of Youtube clips. Viz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei93yTpJSj0.
If it comes to pass it will be crap. A TNA Knockouts show, on the other hand, I could get on board with, even without Gail Kim.
