Money in the Bank thought

This was just an idea that some friends and I were kicking around for the MITB winner, kind of a variation on the Hardcore title thing. They're always doing the whole "Champions should always be wondering when they might get attacked" by the MITB winner, sort of a constant state of fear for them and that.

Our though was, why not do the opposite? Why not have the Champs (World and WWE and whatever happens on NXT) get together and basically decide that they're not going to take this crap from this guy. The more facey champs can confront the MITB winner and more or less do his best to intimdate, promise retribution, pain, etc. The middle of the ground/heelish guys can always launch an offensive on him, where minions are constantly attacking him, leading to mini feuds and the eventual "is he well enough to actually compete against he champ" thing?

You could get it to the point where the guy's almost living in terror, depending on how far you want to take it, or where he's paranoid about even a fan touching his shoulder on the way down. OBviously taking it TOO far would kill any guy's heat/build up.

Just a thought I suppose.

I wouldn't be against this as an angle. I had a similar idea when Randy Orton won the Royal Rumble. Triple H should have gone on the attack, making it his mission to force Orton to select a match with him. It had the same outcome, but I think the build ot the selection would have been enhanced.

With MitB, I'd be for having the briefcase holder getting attacked by champions or their cronies. You need to have heel champions, but I think it could work.

Nice idea. Could be fun if well executed.

The thing about Money in the Bank is that it's never really considered a seriously by the people in the title mix until it's too late for the champ to do anything (with the notable exception being RVD's usage of it to win the title from Cena at One Night Stand.) The whole charm of it is that yeah, we know who has it, and we know that they could cash it in at any time, but we never think about it until after *insert grueling match here* we have *MITB holders music hits* to sneak in the win. The MITB flies under everyone's radar until that moment.

I would have to agree that it would be too easy for the MITB winner to look overly weak if we had the "Champs constantly harassing him" angle. My suggestion would be to take the current formula, amp it up to 11. Have the MITB holder make it a habit to come out right after big matches that the champs have just wrestled, tease them with the briefcase for a few seconds, and then just leave. Do this with both world champs for a few months, then when he has them thinking that all he's doing is messing with them and their guards are down, he finally cashes it in.
