"Fixing" Jack Swagger
With all the hesitation by many OOsters with regards to the idea of Swagger as Champ, as of now - I thought of a way that the E could "fix" it so
that Swagger's reign doesn't, after all, go the way of Punk's/Rey's/Sheamus's.
That idea? Turn Swagger face by feuding with Jericho. Or at least, face-ish - he doesn't really need to go full-on face, just don't be a
prick. He took the title from Jericho. Thus, let Jericho want his title back and let him tear into Swagger during promos. Let the two of them feud
for some time - maybe even letting Jericho get the title back, so that, in the end, if/when the fans are really behind Swagger, he will then be
"ready" for the ME slot.
In fact, I think I'd have Jericho win the title a the next PPV by some nefarious means - such as using a chair or the belt to KO Swagger. Let
Edge go on and do something else - don't really care what, for this scenario. Swagger can then want the title back, but Jericho keeps putting
it off and/or getting the better of Swagger during tag-matches and whatnot - although Swagger can get some "quality" wins in the meantime, over
lesser opponents than Jericho, but big enough names to make an impression - Batista maybe, and/or Kane? Jericho keeps on verbally abusing Swagger,
and continually points out his obvious lisp, all while Swagger can point to his recent victories and that while he may have a speech impediment, he
can claim to be the best pure wrestler on SmackDown.
As said, this can go on for a few months, until SummerSlam or NoC. Hell - make it big, and have Swagger defeat Jericho at Hell in a Cell in October.
Two birds killed with one stone - Jericho's long reign will help reestablish the World Title as a truly big deal, and it will make Swagger into
a star.
Of course, this is all predicated on the ideas that Swagger can pull it off as a face - which I think he probably could, against Jericho; and that the
fans would take to him as such.
eta: This is just an idea - I'm sure others here will disagree, and some can even expand on it.

I thought this was going to be about cutting his balls off / neutering him.
Which is kind of what they've already done 
In all seriousness, there are legs to this "he wins when it counts" thing that got brought up last night. He loses when the title isn't on
the line..but steps it up and pulls out the victory when it is.
