Ted Dibiase Jr Idea
I don't know if this has maybe turned up already or not, but in playing around with my Smackdown VS Raw 2010 one of the frequent angles I use is
to Make Ted Sr. the GM of one of the brands and function as the heel backer to a mini stable involving his son.
I figure this gives the stable one of the better "talkers" who's familliar (and I believe under contract as a road agent too) and can lend his
"rub" a bit to his kid. Maybe attach a tag team or something to Jr. and give him someone as his heavy muscle.
At this stage I'd use the Million Dollar belt to play off of one of the mid level titles (IC or US depending on what brand you stick him on) and
stack the odds against the champ face who drops the title to TD jr.
Jr can then go around with two belts (which will effectively become one belt) and get fed a stream of near do well faces which would help build him
and the title up. Ted Sr. can grease the wheels for him by stacking the deck against potential challengers. After a few months you could even
introduce the youngest Dibiase who's in the developmentals as either a tag partner to the muscle (if you wanted to do away with the idea of the
earlier tag team in the group), of if Ted Jr. is sufficiently over thrust him into the main event and have him bequeeth the mid-card title to his
brother.
Outcome: Ted could be over, you have a way to introduce the younger brother, the mid-card title gets some spotlight, and the Muscle character could go
the route of Diesel and turn face, or get handed off to the younger brother. You could even keep this at the mid card level and intro the bother as
saying he wants to carve his own name and have the two feud with Ted Sr. in the middle.
thoughts?

Before Brett got hurt, the rumor is the plan was to pair Ted Jr. with the Fortunate Sons (Brett Dibiase and Joe Hennig). But once Brett got hurt it
seems they decided to go with Virgil as a stopgap until now when it looks like they've decided to go with Maryse.

Not to be a dick, but I think you mean ne'er (or never) do well.
Also, Ted's been pretty clear he hates his dad, but it's not like they've never ignored that kind of thing before.
This plan could definitely work and is the kind of thing WWE would do.
