I think it's related somehow to when Jon Stewart says 'flibbidy-flibbidy-floo!' to mock GOP talking points.

I downloaded the soundtrack to "Song of the South," and it's 45 minutes of whipcracks, women pleading "please, no," and people screaming.

In reality, what it "means" is that I am expecting fresh content that will go in the underneath box, but I don't have it just yet, so I put in a placeholder. Sometimes, the anticipated 2-3 hour placeholder turns into a 1-2 day placeholder because I am lazy.

I decided on "Bleep Blorp" as the placeholder because it is widely recognized as a universal greeting by all robots (yes, for the sake of this discussion, OO is a robot, not a mere web server in a data bunker in Illinois). My first introduction to robo-speak came over a decade ago, when "Bleep Blorp" was used on "Mr. Show." Most recently, "Bleep Blorp" has been utilized by both Stephen Colbert and Tek Jansen (but not, I don't think, by Jon Stewart). And I'm sure there are/were many instances of its use in between.

Yours in Useless Knowledge,
Rick
