Is it telling that I do a much better job predicting the outcomes of a promotion I don't follow than one that I at least try to occasionally keep up with AND run the prediction game for?

I'm confused, I only count a total of 36 points to be had?

A number of people predicted the BFGS Tiebreaker match. I gave points for those who got it correct, which made it the 8 pt match and made the ME 9.

Well, shit- I would've picked it too if I thought I was going to get points for it. It wasn't in the OP nor was it even an announced match. That's like awarding points for guessing that a MITB case will be cashed in. We've never done that.

Once Impact was over, I understood The BFG matches to be a "Final Four" so It made sense to me to think there'd be another match.

I was wrong about the format. I looked at it like this; those who correctly guessed that a)there would be an extra match and b) predicted the winner should be rewarded for their foresight. I wasn't trying to penalize anyone. In the # right-# wrong If you didn't do so, I did not count it against you.

I'm not trying to screw anyone. (I got it wrong btw.. so I lost a match there) My gut said it counts. If enough people who didn't pick disagree I'll gladly re-evaluate that.

With the scoring format. without that match there would be 37 points. The ME was still match 9, and therefore worth 9, which is consistent with previous picks.

And that's why I didn't put it in the OP, because it wasn't a planned or announced match. If the final BFG Series matches were being done in a tournament fashion, where the winner of Ray/Storm and Gunner/Roode would face off, then sure. But that's not what it was. Both matches were still being competed in for points. It just so happened that Ray and Roode ended up with the same amount of points at the end, which called for the tie-breaker. If you wanted to state that you thought Ray and Roode would end up tying and having to wrestle each other, that was your prerogative, but to list the BFG Series Tiebreaker match in the OP just didn't (and doesn't) make sense to me.

That said, I'm cool with whatever the ruling is. It's not like I'm losing points that I shouldn't be losing (like when Dev decided who won the two matches that TNA declared as no contests).

I'm just saying that it's not consistent with the rules we've been operating under for basically the last 6 years I've been participating in these and I don't really understand why. But in the end, it's just a silly game and it doesn't really matter anyway.

Sorry about the delay...

They added Crimson/Moragn late, then made things easier by having the match go to a DDQ, so no points awarded

Hardy beat Jarrett twice (according to the recap I read) but only 1 win counts.

Only 12 people this time.. C'Mon Man [/criscarter]

Turning Point:
Robbie E d Eric Young - 1
Mexican America d Ink Inc - 2
Austin Aires d Sorrenson/Kash - 3
RVD d Daniels - 4
Crimson v Morgan DDQ No Points (5)
Anderson/Abyss d Ray/Steiner - 6
Gail d Velvet - 7
Hardy d Jarrett - 8
Roode d AJ - 9
