I think Brock would be awesome, but apparently Vince (or whoever on direction from him) has a great deal of say right down to the last minute stuff,
which is why the Hurrican was all over the RTWM story's, but cut as a playable character.
So with that thinking, I'm guessing no Brock, as I think they'd save him and incorporate him into the advertisements well before hand, and
possibly whenever they opt to stick him and debra into the HOF or do some kind of mini run, which is probably going to be next year or perhaps as a
super show for WM 30.
Goldberg would be great, and I know most people would shit all over a BG return, but I honestly think a Goldberg vs Orton Summer Slam mini feud would
be great. I'd say Cena, but he's getting the Rock and Orton's gotten big enough that he deserves a big headlining match at some
point (as hopefully if Austin makes a return that one will go to Punk or Miz)... So what better way to entice Bill back to the ring than by offering
him up some free money for a video game appearance.
In saying all of this we've got almost 2 months until this thing comes out so there's plenty of time to market the shit out of it and
build hype if they did want to stick Brock or Goldberg into it.
Rock has already been announced as the pre-order bonus, but there's been versions of Rock in past games, so I don't think it would hurt
the WWE to put a little more sizzle on this one as its the kick off of a new franchise and there's probably a lot of leary people about the game
given some of the button control changes they've announced (from my understanding its more akin to a older PS2 controls with no stick controls
and just buttons) and really no big innovations planned for this one outside of design an arena and a whole bunch of tweeks to the universe mode.

So...yeah...
So DLC pack 1 is going to suck...
To save you the click, the pack includes alternate attires for the LOD, HBK, and Edge and Christian. And, for wrestlers, we get...JR and Michael
Cole. Seriously, I don't know what is dumber: that THQ expects people to pay for that or, more importantly, that people will pay for it.

Welp, the second DLC pack should be a bit better, as we get our first
chance at video game Kong
Even though the fact that they're putting Kong in a game means zero as they usually release people after a game is out anyways, it is pretty
cool that they're giving her a little attention to put her in a game. Too bad Diva's and wrestlers can't fight each other, as Kong
versus any guy would be awesome.
Also, completely blanked on the fact that HBK is a part of the first DLC pack and, somehow, not a part of the actual game. Also an MIA figure that I
bet will wind up filling out the last four DLC spots: Bret Hart. There's still three names left, of which, judging from their current track
record, one of whom has to be Ricardo Rodriguez. Judging from WWE's current attitude towards its product, it is an almost certainty they have
no idea who the last three are either.

WTF does this mean:
FREE DLC - Alicia Fox (RELEASED WITH DIVA DLC)
We also wanted to announce that we're continuing our tradition of FREE DLC, with WWE Diva Alicia Fox. She'll be included in the WWE Divas
DLC release, making this pack a can't miss for Divas fans all over the WWE Games Universe.
So Alicia Fox is free...but you have to buy the Diva DLC to get her....making her not free...

According to the page, the divas will be 80
MSP/0.99 each on PSN, not sold as a total package. I think "included in the DLC release" means she'll be released along with the others, but
no charge for her. Kind of like how last year I remember there being one wrestler (Masters?) released for free at the same time as the first DLC
pack.
So yeah, it looks like these are only "packs" in that they'll be released in groups. 99 cents or 80 MSP for each item, except for Alicia Fox,
which will be free.

That would make sense, as THQ announced through its WWEGames Twitter that the last four unannounced people are, in fact, legends. So it would be safe
to say we're dealing with Savage, Foley, and, 99% likely, Bret Hart. It'll be interesting to see who they choose as the last guy.
Personally, I liked how they went random last year and threw Lex Luger into the game as DLC. Of course, with all that being said, I fully expect #4
to be a guy who has already been in a number of games like Bulldog, Ted DiBiase Sr., or Sgt. Slaughter.

So yeah: we were pretty much right on. The last three (fourth spot apparently was just internet rumor-mongering-enticing filler) spots are going to
belong to Batista, Foley, and the Macho Man. Not too shabby, and at least Macho Man will be worth grabbing.
Still don't know if the Rock is worth putting a pre-order on this, though.
Editted to add: I take the fourth spot back, they've filled it with Brodus Clay, although the announcement was non-existent. Still, pretty
solid roster.

Don't know if they are going to do the Axxess pass again this year or not, but for anyone on the fence it might be worth looking into as
you'll be able to have the Rock anyway in a few weeks to a month.
Since I can't see them making a lot off of King, JR, and Cole on their own as a DLC pack I'm guessing they do the pass again.
In saying that I did pre-order mine yesterday, as I have been impressed with the roster and the rumoured design a ring/arena feature.

It's pretty solid, but there are some serious issues with the control scheme. Still, the roster is pretty amazing and the customization is just
insane. This one may get a lot more play than some of the older titles, just based on the WWE Universe mode.

I've heard way too many good things about this one to NOT buy it, but right now Skyrim is killing way too much time (again, cannot emphasize
enough how good it is). Last year's game was a pleasant time killer (making Lex Luger World Champion was way more fun than it should be, but it
only worked because they let you change his theme from that awful one he had to his 90's WCW theme if you could find an MP3 of it), but at the
same time I was glad I waited until December since the game had already dropped in price to $39.99. I think I'll have to do the same with this
one.

I just got back from Target and was looking around at the video games, and it was full price. Maybe it scans differently, but there wasn't any
sign saying it was on sale.
On a side note, there were already people outside with chairs set up, waiting for Black Friday. Fucking lunatics.

The gameplay is pretty sweet once you get the control scheme down which takes about 4 matches. Also as someone who plays only on Legend, I can say
that Hard mode this year is more challenging than Legend last year without resorting to cheap block spamming. Legend on this one is REALLY tough.
Another positive is that the wrestlers feel like themselves. Every Zigler match (I played all day yesterday) was a 5 star 15 minute clinic where he
lost to a finisher unexpectedly. Nash lumbered, Sin Cara and Rey were fliptastic, and the main eventers are an extra level of difficult.
Only negative is their download servers still don't work. I haven't been able to download anything yet. "Servers unavailable".
It's the same shit for 6 months and 2 games now. Really sucks.
I'm with Punk.

Loving WWE Universe mode. Today I started an episode of Raw and the comp set the opening match as Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton. I took control of
Lesnar, beat Orton like he stole something, and then Orton was stretchered out and is apparently injured and will miss time. Awesome.
My main event of ADR vs. Rey had R-Truth attack Rey from the crowd before the match. I took control of Rey and beat ADR anyway, and then after the
match was beatdown by Truth and Demolition Ax.
You can customize the matches if you don't like what the computer generates, but I'm having fun letting the CPU book the shows for me and
just controlling and putting over who I want. For some reason, the CPU on my copy really has it out for Evan Bourne and keeps putting him in 3 on 1
matches on Superstars.

Haven't really had time to dive headlong into RTWM or too far into WWE Universe yet (will probably blow hours on that on my day off tomorrow),
but I'm enjoying it. The tweaked control system took a couple matches to get the hang of, but I like it.
And that they gave Daniel Bryan the Cattle Mutilation (complete with that name) as a finisher, despite the fact that to the best of my knowledge,
he's never used it on WWE TV, made me really happy.

I'm still playing around with it a bit, but overall its been enjoyable enough. Many of the past "teleporting" glitches from the SDvR games
have been fixed, but I don't know that this entry is really that head and shoulders above previous years versions, at least thus far from the 5
or so hours I've sunk into it.
* The controls take a bit to get used to, and I find on even normal the game is more challenging than previous years. I'm hoping that as I get
better with the new control system and can expand my offense it'll be a little less frustrating (maybe I just suck at it, lol) Otherwise
they've created a much more realistic game than previous version right down to mimicking some of the WWE's camera work, and made the game
much more fluid with less frozen load screens and so forth.
* I've only taken a quick glance at it, but it doesn't look like they've made any changes to the create a superstar section.
* The roster is huge, and outside of my desire to have Jericho in the game it is by far the best real time representation of the WWE roster
we've ever gotten.
* Unless I'm missing something I'd like to be able to choose when to put a title on the line in the Universe mode, but otherwise I think
they've done a better job with it this year as the matches aren't quite as repetitive, and they've added a momentum meter which
while sadly means I've been stuck with Zeke at the top of my card for a while now, also means that guys who win at the mid card level are
actually progressing upwards through the ranks in a more natural fashion (instead of last year where your tag team guys were always being pushed into
the main events as well).
* The RTWM story modes went through a big overhaul, and at least the first one is pretty great... I'd actually like to see them do something
like that (basically a sheamus lead faction). Its not like previous years where you pick one of the five storylines they offer you, but instead they
seem to flow into each other by switching perspectives at key points... ie the Sheamus story runs from before the Rumble until WM, and then it
switches to another character at WM who then starts the new year off instead of jumping ahead to the same start point.
