WWE taped tonight's edition of WWE Smackdown tonight from Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. Below are full results:
WWE Smackdown (Airing this Friday):
It's announced that Sheamus will face Mark Henry at SummerSlam but tonight he'll face The Great Khali.
Sheamus defeated The Great Khali
Natalya defeated AJ and continues the assault after the match.
Debuting new music, Daniel Bryan vs. Tyson Kidd. Winner, Daniel Bryan.
Zack Ryder comes out with WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson. Ryder gets on the mic and Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase interrupt. Teddy
Long ends up coming out and informs Ryder he will face Jackson up next.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson defeated Zack Ryder. Triple H comes out and pedigrees Ryder after having the cameras cut off.
Mark Henry defeats Koslov. After the match Mark Henry attacks Koslov more and Sheamus runs out.
The Tag champs and JTG defeated Usos and Beretta.
Christian & R-Truth defeated Randy Orton and John Morrsion in the main event. Christian got the pin over Orton.

That's certainly an optimistic theory, but it's also the only one that makes any goddamn sense. Burying Ryder for the benefit of only one

Also worth mention is Colt Cabana worked a dark match before the show against Wade Barrett.
Colt doesn't need any FCW time, he already was there and was deemed ready for a call-up so he could jump right onto the roster alongside Punk.

Wait. So Zach Ryder goes from not being on TV at all, and getting f*d over in his own hometown, to being on Raw for the last two weeks, and Smackdown
for the last two weeks and has a speaking role, and takes a Pedigree from the COO of the company as part of a storyline, and this is regarded as a bad
thing?
Cabana shows up and does a dark match.
Ryder gets Pedigreed. After being mentioned by Punk at the Comicon work.
Beth Phoenix gets mentioned in the GQ article on Punk.
Punk's fomer Nexus mates are tag champions.

But it's part of the larger primary storyline among Cena/HHH/Punk. If you're on the Punk side of the fence, (which implies that you both
dislike Cena's stale Superman act, and HHH's historical suppression of talent) you're supposed to think that HHH is aligned
against you, and actions such as this, where Ryder (who you are supposed to like as well) is pedigreed and it goes viral, are supposed
to reinforce that top level storyline. It goes hand in hand with the dirt sheet bs about HHH putting himself over at the expense of Punk and/or other
guys on the roster.
So Ryder goes from being kept off of television to being on both shows in two weeks to being at minimum, a bit player in a top level feud, and
that's not bad.
