Nash released... possibly.

Looks as legit as any other time they release somebody, but with the angle they ran on Monday night, I have no idea if this is supposed to part of the
storyline or not.

Given that it was dated Monday but put up today, my gut reaction is that this is just part of the angle

From a 5-year contract post-Royal Rumble, to a full release? Huh. Either there's a early-out clause that got exercised, or this is
storyline-fired.

My guess is storyline. Besides, isn't Nash on a legends deal, as opposed to an active wrestler contract? Even if they don't want to use
him on TV, they could just send him home and still have him under the legends deal, allowing them to use him in video games, action figures, etc.
But if, IF, by some reason this is legit, Nash has just reinforced himself as the smartest man in wrestling. Gets to show up, lay out the
company's hottest star multiple times, and who's the only person who gets to lay him out/get any real heat on him at all? His buddy
Triple H.
But yeah, I'll be shocked if this isn't just furthering the angle.

They removed his profile in superstars and moved him back to the alumni section.
Total work. They wouldn't have shown him exiting the Laurinatis on Monday if not.

And, PWInsider just confirmed that it is pure angle, and that as I theorized, he's never been on an active performer's contract, just his
legends deal.

Wait, Nash is on RAW? When did this happen? What is he doing? Has he exploded a thigh due to walking yet? (all serious questions)

Just seemed kinda weird to me because they've never made a formal announcement on their website with any other "fired" angles... and other
times when we've thought it was a work (like last year with Danielson), it wasn't.

It's an angle while he films a movie or some garbage. So you bring the notorious "me first, me second, me only" guy back in, let him leave
your hottest act laying on 2-3 occasions never getting any retribution and then Nash bails to make a movie.
Best outcome would be to fire him for real, have Punk cut a promo on him to start off Raw and than insert himself in the WWE title match, make it a
three way between Cena/ADR/Punk. Have Punk and Cena be too focused on each other than ADR wins, so than you book Punk vs Cena in a HITC match for
next months PPV.
I remember Eddie Guerrero.

New update: apparently Nash is also filming a movie currently, and the movie won't insure him during filming if he's also wrestling, so
they're taking him off TV for a while until he's done filming.
So as I said earlier: congratulations WWE, you got Kevin freaking Nash to repeatedly punk out (no pun intended) your biggest star, and didn't
even allow Punk to get any heat back on Nash, choosing instead to give that honor to Triple H of all people.

Punk did get to point and laugh at Nash while Nash laid on the mat from the HHH punch. Punk pointed and laughed as he walked around him and left the
ring. I mean couldn't he have kicked him in the head a few times?

I barely understand any of this "smark talk", but what "heat" did Punk not get back on Nash? Watching what I watched, Punk clearly
out-promo'd Nash every single time to the point it wasn't close. And this is the WWE: promo's count for, and are remembered, a
hell of a lot more than the in-ring stuff; especially the post-match antic variety.

Nash is gone like most people wanted. No need to be particular. Punk literally got the last laugh.
Heat is BS anyway and we shouldn't care. It's those that care about heat that leads us to watching Cena beat Swagger and Ziggler then AA
ADR just to get his HEAT back. If they perceive fans needing heat to strengthen guys, it'll keep happening.
At least now when the WWE re-NWO-ups again (or whatever they call it), we won't have to worry about Nash weighing it down. They can actually be
a group about the future...whether its HHH or Punk.

I get what you're saying, I guess what I was getting at amounts to:
What Punk got on Nash: Some good burns, made fun of him a lot, was a much more slick talker. Basically, talk talk talk. And yeah, he got to stand
there and point/laugh after HHH put away Nash.
What Nash got on Punk: Cost him the WWE Championship, AND the #1 Contendership, plus powerbombed him again in a separate incident.
I dunno, maybe I am being too "smarky" in this instance, but I can't shake the feeling that Nash's involvement in this angle basically
reduced Punk (who's been running around proclaiming himself "The Best In The World") to someone who, for all the funny insults he could throw
at Nash, never really got to do anything.

Don't know if anyone has written this yet, as I'm sure some have thought it. It's there, you just have to put the obvious pieces
together. HHH releases his good buddy Nash. HHH and CM Punk have a No DQ match with a HHH fired from COO if he loses stip. They battle at the ppv,
Nash comes down and makes like he's going to blast Punk, but powerbombs/sledgehammer/hugs HHH. He's been in cahoots with Punk the entire
time and they screwed HHH out of his position of power and then Johnny Ace skateboards down to the ring and hoarsely proclaims that he has been given
COO power by the board. He's also been in cahoots with Punk and Nash.
Or something like that. Possibly. Mabey.
