OOfficial Ratings/Discussion Thread for: SmackDown (September 9, 2011)
OO Nation: All discussion pertaining to SmackDown (airing September 9, 2011) should be done in this thread. It will remain pinned at the top of
the Current Events section for the remainder of the week. In discussing the program, we'd love it if you shared your numerical rating
for the show (from a low of 0.0 to a high of 5.0, in any increment of one-tenth of a point). For full details on the ratings scale and how to join in
on this informal "Battle of the Brands," please be sure to check out the OOfficial
Guidelines for TV Ratings/Discussion Threads.
Tonight on SmackDown: the show is already underway and I totally forgot about posting this thread till now... whoopsie; but blame WWE, not
me... this is what happens when you tape a show that features Orton vs. Rhodes and Henry vs. Zeke as the two featured matches... anyway, it's
kind of silly to preview a show that's almost half-done, and plus I'm on my way out the door in about 20 minutes, so let's not
bother with the pre-show write-up, and just skip ahead to the part where we talk about the show after it's done...
The flOOr is yours, OO Nation. Let your voice be heard and your thoughts on Brand Supremacy be known. Don't wait till after 10pm to post,
either. Pre-show previewing and prognosticating is certainly welcome. So discuss, debate, and rate!

Even though it was step back in the stuttering push of Ryder he looked for the first time like he belonged in the ring with someone like Mark Henry,
the fact that he started swinging before he fell to the inevitable heel decimation made him look more than complete fodder for Henry.
I know they let Cody mention he is champ but do they actually realise he requires an opponent for the PPV? Or are we supposed to take DiBiase
seriously?
I am starting to come around to the fact that Henry really deserves a run at the top, but I fear the resulting Kane & or Big Show matches. Admittedly
putting them in a Hell in the Cell a few years ago would have allowed blood to hide the limitations.
I like the slow build of the Daniel - Cara feud but I'm not certain he needed to speak so soon or use the le Bell lock so quickly.

All you need to know of this week's Smackdown: of the four men in the two feature bouts, Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel Jackson have been on Raw since
it became the "Supershow" combined less than Tyler Reks, Curt Hawkins, and Drew McIntyre have individually.

Cody Rhodes needs more face time. He can talk, the bags are hilarious, and he can go in the ring with the best of them.

Sheamus/Barrett was a really good match. Wouldn't mind seeing more of this rivalry. If you can add Christian and maybe someone like Cody
Rhodes can elevate his game to make a 4-way title scramble, that'd be great... oh, wait, Orton exists. Dammit.

Been pushing this for a while, admittedly, but without any real planning needed, next week they could easily just have Booker finally snap after
getting his thousandth bag put in front of him and go after Cody...leading to a one-off title match. I'd enjoy that. And while beating Booker
isn't much anymore, in typical heel-fashion, Cody could easily brag about beating a 5x, 5x, 5x, 5x, 5x champion in his monotone voice.

Barrett/Sheamus reminded me of the matches Danielson/Mcguinness used to have. Not that the former are anywhere near as good as the latter, but they
have the same willingness to kick the shit out of each other.
Otherwise, Smackdown remains boring, predictable, and repetitive.
