So they're teaming up? Hmm... Wonder who they'd face, and whether it'll be as part of a 5 on 5 match or not.

Well...looks like I picked the right PPV to make as my first live show in a long while.

Saw the Rock's first match back in 1996 at MSG too...pretty exciting to be seeing his return match now.

I'm really glad Survivor Series is getting this much hype this year, seeing as how it's been the most neglected of the WWE's "big four" PPVs for a while now. Plus the Rock will be making his return to the very building and PPV where he made his WWE debut, so that's pretty cool too.

I'm wondering that too, as I think either a tag match or a traditional team match would work. I think who they face is the bigger question, as I can't really think of a common enemy for them to team up against (unless the storyline is that they're forced to team up by Triple H or John Laurinaitis).

I'm hoping Punk/HHH is still going on then, so if I had to pick a Rock/Cena team to face, I'd love to see it be Miz/Truth. They would have some excellent promos, are big enough for a match like this, and wouldn't be all that hurt by the obvious loss to Rock/Cena.

I was thinking along the same lines, but since Rock and Cena are set to face one another their feud would probably get more mileage out of one of them dropping the ball and losing then it would them winning.

Bonus, if it does happen to be Miz/Truth and they are tag champs, the belts would get a bit of prestige out of being defended... my only thinking would be that they would need a reason for Rock and Cena to be teaming up and facing them, and since the Rock isn't appearing until Survivor Series their painted into a bit of a corner in terms of them being able to garner any heat towards Rock half of things... More pre-taped live via satelite moments...?

I think the fact that one of the guys is Miz you've already got something of a foundation to build on in terms of some history between him and Rock, so I guess that could draw Rock into it a bit as otherwise even if it was to show Cena up, or to ensure Cena is healthy going into their match why intervene THIS time as Cena has be on the short end in the past... You gotta figure Cena's going for a two month showdown with ADR with this Sunday's show and probably HITC being it, so they could come up with a quick throwaway handicap match for Vengeance or something...

Anyway, I don't have the "why" quite figured out for Team Cena/Rock, but I am a fan of them facing Miz/Truth.

Rock, Cena, Ryder (as Cena's back up if Rock tries anything) and Air Boom vs Punk, Miz, Truth and NotNexus maybe? Punk will have to get pissed off that Dwayne shows up for one night and everyone acts like it's the second coming of Christ...

ADR, Swagger, Ziggler, Ricardo, and Brodys vs. Cena, Rock, Morrison, Kofi, and Bourne.

HHH, Nash, Waltman, Truth, and Miz vs. Punk, Cabana, Hero, Castagnoli, and Black.

Orton, Sheamus, Bryan, Mistico, and Dibiase vs. Henry, Christian, Barrett, Hunico, and Rhodes.

The Rock looks fucking terrified in that picture! Wonder what posessed them to use that one.

But anyway... Sure, it would be great if he actually wrestled a bit in the run-up to WM, so long as it isn't against Cena. And a 5 man SS match or even a straight tag would at least give some ring time with enough cover for any ring rust.

2 things :

Why can't they just wrestle at WM and be done with it. Seems every face/face wrestlemania match has to start with the opposing players on the same team at survivor series! Jesus WWE, its not set in stone, you can be different one in a while. Or even once!

2nd thing though is most likely - WWE loves wrestlers to be carrying belts when the promote things. So, Rock and Cena win the tag titles inspite of themselves, carry the belts through the holiday season to promote wrestlemania (giving Cena a few matches having to defend alone 'cause Dwayne isn't there), then have the real "fall out" (as per formula) when they lose them at the Rumble.

Actually that might not be such a bad thing regarding raising the profile of the tag titles come to think of it..

I honestly think the best bet here is some unholy team of Rock, Cena, Hunter, Punk (feel the tension between all four of those guys) and one other arbitrary babyface (Morrison would maybe be good as the guy trying to keep the team from imploding, or perhaps a newly face Ziggler) vs. ADR, Nash, Miz, Truth, and another heel- Swagger, if they turn Ziggler face by then. And it has to end with the faces all coming to blows and the heel team going over strong

They should keep all other main event faces away from this, and use it as an excuse to give Ryder and Air Boom the rub. Have them face Awesome/Truth, Dolph, Swagger and Drew (the heel side can be pretty strong).

I guess this gives him a match to dust off the cobwebs. WM is going to get a million buys regardless, so making SS seem special is a good thing.

Those two elongated "V's" look like teeth to me, so I'm guessing its a subtle hint that Cena and Rock will be teaming up to battle the cast of Twilight, or possibly Count Chockula.

I would pay to see them beat the stuffing out of Edward for ruining vampires.
