Davey Richards Dvd-worth buying
ROH just released a Davey Richards dvd. Looks awesome. Has anyone seen all these matches or enough of them to say if this dvd's worth buying?

They're all good-great matches. The problem will come once you start getting to his uppercard run a lot of the matches will come across as the
same. Tons of strikes, tons of head drops, and tons of near falls; especially the Dragon, Aries, Strong, and Black matches. Probably Steen, Omega,
KENTA, and Ibushi as well. The Marufuji match was early enough that he hadn't gotten predictable yet. Really surprised there are no Wolves
matches.

The Kenny King match will surprise you. Out of all the recent matches on the list, King is the biggest unknown of the group, and that match was great.
The match with Black was my favorite match of last year.
To Dev's point, I think the Danielson match and Aries match will look a little alike, especially back to back. Davey did something disgusting in
the Danielson match, but I can't remember what it was.
This is a great set though. It's meant to highlight Davey for his singles run since he's the champ. And they didn't do a show in
August, so they needed some dvd to push out.

I can only comment on the second half because I have only been an ROH fan for about a year and half now, but I echo everything Sop and card say about
it. I'm a big fan of the Generico match as well, on par with the King match in terms of surprise factor.

I do find it interesting that Steen is one of the 3 people with 2 matches in the set. And Steen called Davey out a lot at the show this week before
his mic cut out and outside the show. Wonder if they're going to build to Davey demanding to "defend" ROH against Steen and losing the title
to him forcing ROH to re-hire Steen.

How was the Death Before dishonor show?
Ps. Thanks for the feedback. Got a ton of ROH dvds to get through, but this will probably get added to my next order.

Meh undercard. Typical uppercard match with Strong/Edwards. Awesome Ladder War with Briscoes/ANX.

The undercard was rather meh like Dev said, except for the Young Bucks/Future Shock/Bravados triple threat elimination match, which I loved. The Bucks
walking out without shaking hands was a nice move. They had some good matches in their first ROH run, but don't remember them ever talking or
doing anything besides looking like the Hardys 2.0.
Strong and Edwards was great. It wasn't as good as their match at Manhattan Mayhem, but that one was a title match and had a great surprising
title change. They wrestled for damn near 45 minutes, so props to them.
The ladder war was insane. It looked like Jay Briscoe was dead after the match, because there was such a giant pool of blood around his head. I liked
how they were serious about not going for the contract until after the kicked each other's asses. I think the end with King getting the contract
was the only climbing spot. Writing ANX with Jay's blood was classy.
Of course, Steen's run in was a highlight. Love that Cornette ran over and took a swing at him. I wonder if we get a Generico/Cabana v.
Corino/Jacobs match or something like that at Final Battle. I can't see them letting Steen wrestle, but just that match would be a powder keg.
It's definitely worth checking out. It's a little disappointing they didn't have any title matches, and it took away more from the
first half of the show.

It was a solid show, not the best. Ladder War was awesome. Roddy/Eddie was a very good match, but not much different than any match involving
Eddie/Davey/Roddy and I thought the stips hindered it quite a bit. Steen's run-in was awesome, although I think I liked his involvement at BITW
a little better. I thought Steen coming out of the pile of bodies hit by Generico's plancha as the only "survivor" was awesome though.
I really really hope we're heading towards a Steen-Davey program because quite frankly I'm a little sick of Davey/Roddy/Eddie combinations
in the main event scene. It's getting to the point where its just the same match over and over, without a strong heel to boot. Steen brings
something different to the table and is a strong heel to combat Davey as a strong face (even if Steen will probably end up cheered)

Eddie and Davey seem like they are going to have their rematch at Final Battle. Once Davey beats Eddie, maybe Steen runs in, attacks him, and takes
the title to close the show. That way Davey has the motivation to fight him, and ROH has to cave in to Steen demands and Davey's since he is the
champ.
The main event does need a shake up. I like Roddy well enough, but he's gotten a lot of title matches the past 2+ years. He feuded with Aries,
Aries and Black, Black, Davey, Eddie, Homicide. I was hoping Elgin would beat Haas, and then the HoT would challenge WGGT somewhere down the line
after Future Shock and the ANX get their matches.

I was lucky enough to catch that match live and it was indeed great. I didn't really know who either guy was going into the match (my ROH
knowledge was pretty limited at the time), but I got really into it and was pulling for Davey just because I thought he seemed like a pretty badass
guy.
That's also the match where Christopher Daniels made a surprise appearance afterward and confronted Davey.
