Holy Shit!!! Yay... he explains...
This was from my FB page, what started as a harmless (I thought) post about being nice.... this could be trainwreck FB post of the year...
(name changed to protect the innocent)
Mike Howard
Getting ready to head home from Grand Junction. Just want to share a story from my trip out from Columbus. After passing through security, I stopped
and asked for the TSA supervisor. After she introduced herself, I told her that I appreciated the professionalism and politeness of all the agents
that work at the airport everytime I traveled. She was shocked and pleased, why don't we thank people more often instead of only complaining?
Kenneth James Abbott
Because we shouldn't thank people for groping us and taking nude photos of us.
If I burned down your garage, would you thank me for how well I placed the gasoline to make sure the load-bearing wall came down first
Mike Howard
I was never groped and they are just people doing their jobs. You have a problem if you can not seperate the people who work and the government that
gives them the job.
Also nice of you to compare the act of security with destruction of personal property
Kenneth James Abbott
"Just doing their jobs" doesn't cut it. My problem isn't that the people working for the government and the government itself are
somehow interchangeable, it's that their job entails looking at me naked and/or groping me. If you weren't ...groped, congratulations, but
there's a few six-year-old girls who can tell you firsthand it ain't fun. In fact, there's a few little kids who can tell you that
the naked pictures aren't much fun either, especially when some TSA agent is caught with a collection of them.
And hey, who's to say it wasn't important to my security to burn down your garage? In fact, burning down random garages would probably do
a lot more for our security than the TSA molest-a-thon.
Also, nice of you to compare the act of sexual molestation (or at least voyuerism) with "security."
Friend #1-- I'm siding with Mike on this one - you can't blame or be angry at all TSA agents because a few of them are perverts or went
overboard with inspections - those agents should be fired (in the least). That's like being angry at all doctors and dentists because a few have
been accused of molesting patients. They are people doing their jobs, and for the most part, they make it as easy as they can on their customers.
Mike Howard
You are a hater.
Kenneth James Abbott
Sure I can. Their job is to look at me naked. The fact that they do it for pay instead of for fun doesn't change this fact. The fact that some
of them do even worse things doesn't change that fact either.
Doctors, on the other hand, aren't being paid to molest me (not to mention I don't have to let one grope me if I want to travel
overseas.
--You are a hater.--
Really? Well, just for fun, let's hear what you think of the rich again......
And keep in mind that's not even considering the constant acts of theft they were engaging in even before an airport job became every child
molester's dream.
Mike Howard
Ever been checked for a hernia?
Kenneth James Abbott
I've never had to submit to one or not be able to go about my life. I've also never seen a doctor try to check a six-year-old girl for
one.
Mike Howard
Plus last time I checked flying in a plane is not a right.
I don't hate the rich, never said I did, just don't trust companies to do more than worry about profit
Kenneth James Abbott
So because it's not a government-granted right, they should feel free to force us to submit to some voyeur before we fly?
Driving's not a right either, according to the law. Should we start groping drivers? Hell, let's add pedestrians to the mix--don't
like it, then don't walk anywhere; walking's not a right!
So you constantly slander them and want to see them destroyed, but don't hate them... Got it.
Here's a question--when was the last time you want to some business owner and thanked them for providing a necessary good or service? He's
just making a living too, right?
Mike Howard
Walking is a right. Driving is not and it is regulated to the extent of the potential danger.
Wrong tactic with me, if you ever with me I have on several occasions stopped and thanked businesses and people for the jobs they did.
It is called being polite and thankful. It didn't hurt a bit, try it sometime
Friend #1
Wow, you certainly have a bug up your butt about this - I'd say avoid flying at all costs. Then you won't have to worry about it. As for
thanking businesses, I usually thank the wait staff that serve me, the people with whom I do business... over the phone, and the people at retail with
whom I do business. The fact that you find it unheard of to thank good service tells me the kind of customer you are - the kind that customer service
workers despise.
Kenneth James Abbott
Walking is a right? You sure? Just what makes walking a right, but not driving or flying?
I'm perfectly polite and thankful--to people that don't abuse me for a living.

The new TSA theme song
And Friend #1 yeah, I got this thing about not being peeped on or groped by government agents. How about we make the same requirement for pedestrians,
and you can avoid it by just not walking anywhere? Then you won't have to worry about it.
And thanks for your gratuitous slander, but the truth is I'm happy with thanking good service. But groping me or looking at me naked is not good
service, it's abuse.
The fact that you construe dislike of government abuse as a context to tell me what kind of person I am tells ~me~ what kind of citizen you are--the
kind that freedom-loving people despise.
Mike Howard
Last time I looked walking was not regulated by the government. There for, as per the constitution if the government doesn't regulate it, it is
a right.
I'm sorry that you feel the government shouldn't exist in any form, which I must assume you do since I have asked you previously to point
out the level of government you feel is approprate and you declined to answer, but the majority of the people in this country like clean drinking
water, safe cars and roads, and not having planes explode or hijacked.
Enjoy Korea, I hope the level of government there is more acceptable to you
Kenneth James Abbott
--There for, as per the constitution if the government doesn't regulate it, it is a right.--
That's not what the constitution says.
--I'm sorry that you feel the government shouldn't exist in any form, which I must assume you do--
If you ...want to make that assumption, have at it, but I would hope you prefer dealing with the truth.
And please don't pretend the TSA is having any effect at all in the number of planes hijacked.
--Enjoy Korea, I hope the level of government there is more acceptable to you--
Considering nobody's groped me or taken pictures of me against my will yet, I'm sort of enjoying it.
Mike Howard
How many hijackings have there been since 9-11?
And I will ask again for this truth from you... What level of government do you prefer?
Heather Johnson
Wow...I think someone needs a valium and a hug, maybe some therapy for good measure.
Kenneth...Mike is my husband and I can honestly say he does make it a practice to stop whatever we are doing no matter how busy we are to let
someone's boss know they did a good job or went out of their way for our comfort. It is an uncommon practice that we encourage in ourselves as
well as our children.
As for having trouble flying, I too have not been molested, groped, or taken advantage of in any way. I think the people at the airport are (for the
most part) only trying to do their jobs.
Kenneth, I think it is interesting that you equate what goes on with the airport directly linked to our government. I think that the majority of the
world is not government related but just common people like you and me who just want to ge...t through their day...it would make everyone's life
a little easier if we could all try to leave the hate at the door and just love one another regardless of political views, gender, race, creed, sexual
orientation...what happened to "Do unto others as you would have done unto you" isn't both sides of our political spectrum supposed to be
Judeo- Christian in nature...they all seem to claim it and yet the more I listen to everyone fight about politics the more I think they are far from
those teachings they try to say they represent. Love one another, practice random acts of kindness, try to leave a place better then when you found
it...these are all things that all men can embrace.

Sounds like your 'friend' Kenneth hasn't gotten blown in a few eons, so he should be happy that anyone is looking at his naked
x-rayed body at the airport.

He is the same guy that would not admit that the right are hypocrites.
Also he still has never answered me about what he feels is the right amount of government controls.

TSA's official slogan: "If we did our job any better, we'd have to buy you dinner first." I heard there's a sign in one of the New
York airports that says "Can't see London, can't see France, unless we see your underpants."
Thank you, tip your server.

Well I certainly hate the rich. And they all fucking deserve everyone else's malice too. I hope that they all get groped someday.

Kenneth actually reponded with the type of Federal government he approves of...
quote: (my original question) --So Kenneth, again I ask you... What would you like to see our government do? Go back to the Articles of Confederation
and have no power?
--And again I'll tell you (although actually going back to the Articles of Confederation wouldn't be a bad idea, but we tried that once
and the response was terrorism): The government should return to the duties and limits set forth for it in the Constitution, without using the
"General Welfare clause" as an excuse for whatever nutty idea our legislators can spout without giggling. In short, that's a military, a
justice system, diplomacy, and a section to regulate interstate commerce--not by using laws and taxes to decide which businesses should be favored,
which should not be, which are "too big to fail" and which are "greedy," or even which are "good" for us and which are "sinful" (thus our
"sin taxes" on beer, cigarettes, and (with a different name) firearms and ammunition), but to establish uniform weights and meaures and ensure that
no state is cheating the other states.Or as Thomas Jefferson said, In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him
down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.
