NHL 2014-15

Tomorrow night is opening night and as a Blue Jackets fan I am in the odd position of looking forward to this season. Plus to add to my nervous energy the ESPN picks for the season has Bucigross picking the Jackets to win the Metro as well as making the conference finals (Kavanagh also has them losing to the Bruins in the Eastern finals).

I don't know how to handle this respect from the media....

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals is tonight...and it's pretty much a must win for Tampa.

Scary thought that doesn't get brought up enough...the Penguins could have drafted Toews over Staal.

Forget the ice, or the ring for that matter. The latest Lightning-Blackhawks feud involves former wrestlers Hulk Hogan and CM Punk, but its playing out on cable and Twitter.

It all started when the Hulkster, a longtime Tampa Bay area resident, told CNN on June 1 that Chicagos in a whole bunch of trouble, brother when he was asked about the series.

Blackhawks fan Punk was at Game 3 on Monday and shared his own message in response to Hogan on CSN.

Now normally, the less said about Hulk Hogan the better, but he spoke my name first, so Id like to point out that the Tampa Bay organization as a whole should be embarrassed for hitching their trailer to such a piece of garbage, Punk said while standing among a crowd of screaming Blackhawks fans.

After the Blackhawks lost Game 3 (possibly due to not saying their prayers and eating their vitamins), Hogan repeated his original message.

Like I said the Blackhawks are in a whole lot of trouble, they should take their puck punk and go home, CM can show them the way brother HH, Hogan tweeted.

Within an hour, Punk tweeted back.

You mispronounced the team captains name and didnt even know the coaches name. Youre a hack. Shut the f--- up or Ill wreck you @HulkHogan, Punk wrote.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Punks tweet about Hogan screwing up the names of Jon Cooper (called him Jon Conner) and Steven Stamkos (called him Stamko) would probably sting less if it wasnt so true.

There is no exception,
that everyone thinks they are the exception.

Hawks win. They are an incredibly talented team, but the thing I really noticed was how they work as a unit. Wingers drop a little more for an outlet pass, support on board, two man for checks. When talent buys in to a good coach, it can be amazing to watch.
