Goon is there any particular reason you went with the APA for your Tag Title Match? There was the WGTT or even an odd tag team with Foley and somebody
else to continue the feud with Evolution. I was tempted to do a Lesnar vs Cena match aswell, it seems like it would be such a perfect time for it. If
WWE knew a lot sooner that Lesnar was leaving I feel they would have gone with that.

Wrestlemania 2000 was stacked with talent. But in mine, you can eliminate Mick Foley from the card - he lost a retirement match just a month
earlier. Thus, no bloated four-way for the World title here. Meanwhile...
Edge and Christian d. the Dudley Boyz - Tables match for the Tag-Team titles
Let's start hot with a big tag-team title match. Yes, it's pretty similar to the real match that took place there, I'm just
removing the Hardys. And as good as that match was, I think that this one would be a bit tighter, and non-stop action.
Kane d. X-Pac
They were feuding throughout the year, so let's blow it off here. Even with the Road Dogg in his corner, X-Pac is going to take a tombstone
here. Pete Rose will, too.
Test and Albert d. Too Cool
T & A's PPV debut, with Trish Stratus. They're gonna need a strong win to give them some instant credibility, and Too Cool were still a
respected team back then.
Crash Holly d. Bob Holly, Davey Boy Smith, the Big Bossman, Bull Buchanan, and Perry Saturn - 15-minute scramble match for the Hardcore
title
I think this works better than the battle royale they had at the real event, and the competitors involved are certainly stronger. I'd give
Saturn a few minutes with the belt, and, oh, Bob Holly, before Crash wins it back at the end.
Dean Malenko d. Essa Rios - Lightheavyweight title
The championship rematch. Rios still had a little bit of juice at the time (thanks to Lita), and it would be a really fun match to watch. A big
spotlight bout for the Man of 1,000 Holds.
Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero d. the Godfather and D'Lo Brown
The final of three consecutive matches with Radicalz in it. Benoit could carry the load in this one, as Eddie was coming off his elbow injury. And
within WWE, I honestly don't remember many tag-team matches with just the two of them tagging back and forth.
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. Tazz - two-fall ladder match for the IC and the European titles
I don't think this is much of a cheat, swapping out Benoit for Tazz and changing the stips a bit. Tazz was still hot here, and he WAS the man
who handed Angle his first WWE loss - so why not get him in here? I'd hang the two belts about ten feet apart, so you couldn't get them
both at the same time - otherwise, same type of deal. Jericho grabs the European title, Tazz grabs the IC belt... and Angle still stays protected.
The Hardy Boyz vs. the APA (double-countout)
The classic speed vs. power contest, with both teams looking at this contest like a top contender's match (and you know that they'd want
to top the Dudleyz/E and C match). Call it a countout after a solid ten minutes of action.
The Big Show d. Rikishi
The last match before the main event. Big Show would be pissed after getting knocked out of the World title match, and Rikishi was pretty damn
popular at this time. I'm pairing them up to avoid the disarray of a three- or four-way main event for the championship.
Triple H d. the Rock - World title
We can still keep Vince and Steph in opposite corners to add some intrigue and chaos to this match, but it'll be a straight-up one-on-one for
the belt. No Foley, no Show. I'd even let HH walk out of the biggest show of the year with the belt, that dastardly heel.

Now up to the WM which was infamous for being the first time an entire WM crowd shits on the face WWE Champion and Edge putting Foley through a
flaming table.
WrestleMania 22.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: RVD vs Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero vs Carlito vs Booker T vs Randy Orton To make it interesting, I removed
all of the original guys except for the winner, RVD. Not having Benjamin and Matt Hardy is a bummer but Rey and Carlito should make up for it.
Champions vs Champions: Show and Kane(c) vs MNM(c) Just for bragging rights.
Title vs Career:Shelton Benjamin(c) vs Ric Flair I feel that the only thing Benjamin needed to be a bonafide star was a manager and WWE just
didn't care enough to atleast try it. This could be the start of it as Benjamin retires Flair just to bring him back as a manager who he
mistreats for great heat while getting a victory over the Nature Boy at WM.
United States Championship Hardcore Match:Chris Benoit(c) vs Mick Foley These two could have probably done something very special if given the
chance and Benoit destroying Foley would be the sort of thing needed to turh him heel. Which the SD brand desperately needed since the top heel at the
time was a pre-awesome Mark Henry.
Interpromotional Match: HHH vs JBL At WM21 these guys were the big bads of the WWE and a match against each other would probably be pretty
novel.
Streak Match: The Undertaker vs Fin Finlay Instead of Henry, Finlay gets the monster push and while he might also not be a that big of a
threat to the Streak, you get a much better match.
World Title Match:Kurt Angle (c) vs Edge After losing to Cena and only holding the WWE Title for 3 weeks, Edge sneaks into the Rumble and wins.
Choosing to go against Angle, a guy he's beaten so bad in the past that he's the reason why Kurt's bald over the guy who kicked his
ass the last time. This would be the culmination of Edge's brilliant self-obessed woe is me path to the top. Never getting World Title shots for
years, sneaking his way into a Title win only to lose it almost inmediately and now winning the Rumble just to walk into a loss at WM to a guy he
considered a joke.
WWE Title Match:John Cena (c) vs Shawn Michaels Shawn turns heel one last time to finally give a Cena program a ''must
watch'' feeling that they were lacking with the tepid Angle and Jericho feuds.

Chris Benoit vs. Mick Foley is definitely something that was never done, and that would be a sight to see.
Wrestlemania 11
The British Bulldog def. Jeff Jarrett (c) w/ The Roadie (DQ) -- Intercontinental Title
These two were on opposite sides at Survivor Series, the Bulldog had held the Intercontinental Title just prior to leaving the WWF during his previous
run, and that's plenty of foundation for me to build on. There are a million ways you could establish the Bulldog as No. 1 contender; heck, you
could have him win a 20-man battle royal as he did in the real world, only this time with actual stakes. But the finish is basically the same, with
Jarrett getting disqualified due to Roadie interference and retaining the title. That way you can have the Bulldog chase, maybe setting up a rematch
at the first In Your House.
The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer def. Bob Backlund
If booked right, this could be fun. Heel Backlund was well established as dangerous, and he was also insane, so it would make perfect sense for him to
suddenly beat the hell out of the Undertaker for the slightest provocation, or maybe no provocation at all. The build could be interesting, with
Backlund showing no fear of 'Taker because he's too crazy to care. 'Taker was still kind of a lousy worker at this point, and
Backlund was hit-or-miss, but either way the match would be far superior to the 'Taker-King Kong Bundy snoozer we got in the real world. This is
standard Wrestlemania booking for 'Taker, so naturally he goes over.
Shawn Michaels w/ Psycho Sid def. Lex Luger
We never actually got this match in the real world, and I think it could be entertaining. Have them encounter each other at the Royal Rumble --
I'd like to have Luger eliminate Michaels, but I think Michaels needs to be one of the final two (you'll understand when you see who I
booked to win), so maybe it's Michaels who eliminates Luger after a low blow or something. Tension builds, finally culminating in this match.
The booking would seem to favor the babyface, but Michaels is a better investment for the company right now, so this is where I'd have him debut
Sid as his new bodyguard, and Sid's the difference-maker that allows Michaels to pick up the win.
The Smoking Gunns (c) def. The Blu Brothers w/ Uncle Zebekiah, The Heavenly Bodies and Men on a Mission w/ Oscar -- Four Corners Match for the
World Tag Team Titles
The tag team scene was nothing to write home about at this point in history, so rather than slap the Gunns on the card against one of the lackluster
teams on the roster, I'll just have them defend against several. None of these opposing teams is a better bet to hold the titles, so the Gunns
retain. I'll have Men on a Mission last to the end, but come up short, eventually leading to their dumping Oscar and Mabel going singles, which
is inevitable even if you don't book him to win King of the Ring.
Bret Hart def. Owen Hart -- Submission Match
Rather than target Backlund for his loss of the WWF Title, I'm going to have Bret target Owen. This'll be the third major PPV match-up
between the two in the last year, but they have one win each, so this can be the rubber match, and we'll make it a submission match, too:
Sharpshooter vs. Sharpshooter. The stipulation, I think, will make this one different enough from its predecessors, and Bret and Owen can always be
counted on to tear the house down, so there's almost no way this bout doesn't amaze. Bret wins, of course.
Lawrence Taylor, Bob Holly & 1-2-3 Kid def. Bam Bam Bigelow, Tatanka & King Kong Bundy w/ Ted DiBiase
Hiding LT in a six-man tag makes way more sense to me than having him main-event against an upper-midcarder. You can do the build almost exactly the
same way as in the real world: Bigelow and Tatanka lose to Holly and the Kid at the Rumble, LT and Bigelow have a showdown. You can keep Holly and the
Kid involved by having the Million Dollar Corporation attack them after they lose the Tag Team Titles to the Gunns. I'm not going to make this
an official lumberjack match, but some of the other NFL guys will be out there to keep DiBiase's B-team from getting involved. With Holly and
the Kid shouldering most of the work for the face side, the match should be a hell of a lot better than what we got, and LT can get a hot tag at the
end and win the match for his team by pinning Tatanka or Bundy, neither of whom has the upside Bigelow has. And you can kick Bigelow out of the
Corporation immediately afterward, as in the real world, too.
Diesel (c) def. Razor Ramon -- WWF Title
Having lost the Intercontinental Title to Jarrett on the first RAW of the year -- as opposed to at the first PPV -- Razor wins the Rumble to challenge
Diesel in a face-versus-face bout. I'm not going to even tease a heel turn for either guy, though I would have both of them bend the rules a bit
given the scope of the match. I think this would be a good extension of their series from the year before, and I think the match would be decent, as
Razor could definitely work and Diesel, while not the most impressive technician, could certainly be carried by a capable opponent. I'm tempted
to have Razor win the title here, but Diesel's not had much of a reign yet, so we'll have him hold on a little longer -- maybe build to a
Diesel-Michaels match down the line, or even have Razor turn heel later and win it if he can stay clean enough.

Reading The Undertaker vs Bob Backlund made me chuckle. That definently would have been a great clash of personalities. Also was there ever a third
Bret vs Owen ppv match to find out who was the better man? Kind of an obvious match in hindsight. Anyway, on to Wrestlemania 23
Wrestlemania 23
ECW 3 on 3 Match:Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Sandman vs CM Punk, Elijah Burke, and Cor Von The ECW originals vs New Breed would have probably gone
leagues better if a Straight Edge heel Punk was the one leading the charge. Also reducing it to 3 vs 3 rather than 4 vs 4 so it's less bloated.
Punk can go after Van Dam after already running through the other Originals.
Money in The Bank Match: Edge vs Umaga vs RVD vs Kane vs MVP vs Shelton Benjamin Once again, I changed up the MITB match with the exception
of one guy.
US Title Match: Chris Benoit(c) vs Fin Finlay
A nice contrast to the spotreffic MITB match, ECW match and a Hardyz vs MNM match.
Falls Counts Anywhere Match: The Hardy Boyz vs MNM
These guys were putting a number of classic matches in late 06 but never got a big blowoff.
Battle of the Billionaires: Randy Orton w/Vince vs Carlito w/Trump with Stone Cold ref
Still don't know why people turned on Carlito. He was over, had good to great matches and was fun on the mic. With more dynamic personalites
than Lashley and Umage, this is probably a lot more enteratining than what we actually got.
Interbrand Match:Shawn Michaels vs King Booker
Two guys who should have had a singles match at some point.
Champion vs Champion:Batista(c) vs Bobby Lashley(c)
After decimating the ECW roster,Lashley sets his sights higher. This is a chance to do something fun. Lashley beats Batista and becomes a double
Champion only to get cashed in inmediately and quickly drop the WHC to Edge.
WWE Title vs The Streak:John Cena (c) vs The Undertaker
This would have been HUUUGGGEEE!!! Just have Taker on RAW for a couple of months before shuffling him back to SD with the Draft lottery.

I know there were rumors about attitude problems, but I thought Carlito was great, at least at first, and always thought he deserved better. Somebody
would have had to assure Trump he wasn't Mexican first, though.
Wrestlemania 12
Free For All: The Body Donnas w/ Sunny def. Tekno Team 2000
I'm just looking to give the Body Donnas something to do. And 99 percent of that is looking for an excuse to get Sunny on the card somehow,
because the crowds were hot for her even if she was stuck with a loser tag team. I couldn't come up with a better set of opponents than Tekno
Team 2000, since the Godwinns are out, per the rules, and I'm not giving the Bushwhackers a third sympathy match.
The New Rockers def. Owen Hart & Yokozuna w/ Jim Cornette -- World Tag Team Titles
This is the finals of a tournament for the vacant titles. The New Rockers debuted as faces, and Yokozuna hasn't yet turned face. I figure this
match would be a hell of a lot better than the Godwinns-Body Donnas contest we got. Camp Cornette's loss here is what prompts Yokozuna's
ejection from the group the next night on RAW.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Savio Vega
Just getting these two on the card and filling some time, seeing as there's no Iron Man match. You could start this feud the same way
Vega's feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin started -- they go to a double countout and don't stop brawling.
Justin Hawk Bradshaw w/ Uncle Zebekiah def. Bart Gunn
Rather than just strip the Smoking Gunns of the World Tag Team Titles because of an injury Billy Gunn suffered off-screen, I'm making
Billy's injury (in kayfabe, anyway) the result of an attack by a debuting Bradshaw. Bart tries to get some revenge here, but comes up short.
The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer def. The British Bulldog w/ Jim Cornette
The Bulldog had been floating around the main event since late 1995, so I think he works as an opponent for 'Taker. And he was really bringing
his working pants at this point in time, so the match is going to be 1,000 times better than 'Taker's previous Wrestlemania contests, even
if 'Taker's ring work wasn't anything to write home about yet. Have Davey Boy cost 'Taker his title match with Bret Hart at
the Royal Rumble instead of Diesel; easy.
Ahmed Johnson def. Goldust w/ Marlena (DQ) -- Intercontinental Title
Razor Ramon was suspended, so I'm not going to cheat and slot him in here. Instead, Goldust is forced to defend against a red-hot Ahmed Johnson.
I want to keep Johnson undefeated, but I don't want to have Goldust lost the title yet, so he escapes with a DQ loss here to build toward
Johnson's eventual victory, maybe at King of the Ring as happened in the real world.
Jake Roberts & The Ultimate Warrior def. Stone Cold Steve Austin & 1-2-3 Kid w/ Ted DiBiase
When Roberts rejects DiBiase's offer to sell out, DiBiase sics the Million Dollar Corporation on him, which at this point is just Austin and the
Kid (Tatanka would have left a couple weeks prior; you can have DiBiase kick him out for losing to Roberts on RAW or something). Roberts promises to
bring in a mystery partner to fight DiBiase's goons, and that person is the Warrior, who is not announced in advance. The faces have to win this
one, but we'll preserve Austin's momentum by having the Kid be the one to get crushed by the Warrior.
Shawn Michaels def. Diesel -- No Holds Barred
Michaels eliminates Diesel from the Rumble, Diesel subsequently turns on him and voila, you have this match a month early. As a bonus, it's a
rematch from last year, but with alignments reversed.
Vader w/ Jim Cornette def. Bret Hart -- WWF Title, special referee Roddy Piper
Vader obliterates the competition to win the Rumble and menaces Hart for the next two months. I would wait to introduce Cornette as Vader's
manager until Wrestlemania just to stack the odds even more against the Hitman (and to drag out the Yokozuna face turn, as two monsters like Yokozuna
and Vader can't coexist in a stable for long). Of course, Vader wins here and becomes the first heel in history to walk out of Wrestlemania the
champion. Piper was around for the real-world Wrestlemania 12, so might as well find a use for him here as well, even if he's going to have to
reluctantly count three for Vader.

Here was my thinking for that: originally I wanted to do the Dudleys vs the APA, as it was a feud I don't ever recall happening during the
Attitude Era and would have been a slobberknocker match of two ass-kicking teams. Then I soon realized that shit, neither one of them were tag team
champions at the time, so I had to include RVD/Booker. As I was booking the rest of my card, I didn't really have a place for Flair or Batista,
so tossed them into the tag team match (and since those two eventually were tag team champions together, I thought that added some legitimacy to
including them as a team). So sadly, TWGTT and Foley were both casualties of my re-booked card.

Wrestlemania 13
Free For All: The New Blackjacks def. The Godwinns w/ Hillbilly Jim
The New Blackjacks had just debuted, so here's a solid win over an established team to give them some momentum.
Rocky Maivia (c) w/ Rocky Johnson def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/ Chyna -- Intercontinental Title
I'm tempted to have Helmsley win here, as Maivia was a lousy champion, but it was Helmsley who Maivia beat for the title and I don't want
to pinball it back. So Maivia brings his father to the match to counteract Chyna, and manages a flash pin to beat Helmsley (just as he beat the Sultan
in the real world). This will be Helmsley's rematch for the title, as I won't have had him get one immediately at In Your House: Final
Four.
Billy Gunn def. Bart Gunn
This feud never had a blowoff in the real world, so it's getting one now. Standard booking probably has the babyface go over, but Billy was the
one the WWF wanted to push, so I'll have him take this one.
The Legion of Doom def. Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (c) (DQ) -- World Tag Team Titles
LOD returns and immediately gets in the title hunt after Owen and the Bulldog dispatch Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon. You can't have LOD job here, I
don't think, but they need to chase for a little while, and a DQ finish accomplishes that.
Goldust w/ Marlena def. Jerry Lawler
I would have Lawler antagonize Goldust for months after his face turn, and this is finally where he gets his comeuppance.
Vader def. Mankind
Paul Bearer's two clients keep clashing and eventually face off in the brutal brawl everyone wanted to see. Bearer is ostensibly managing both,
but he sides with Vader to help Vader win the match, turning Mankind face in the process (I assume the fans would already be supporting Mankind).
The Undertaker def. Stone Cold Steve Austin -- special referee Ken Shamrock
I'm not excited about this match-up, as I thought 'Taker and Austin never really clicked in the ring. But it's the best thing for
Austin if he doesn't get to have his star-making bout with Bret Hart. Austin takes 'Taker to the limit, and even though he loses in the
end, he gets a nod of respect from both Shamrock and the Dead Man when it's all said and done, pushing Austin toward his inevitable face turn.
Shamrock ends up as guest referee after Austin antagonizes him at ringside on RAW when Shamrock is just there as a fan.
Faarooq w/ Crush def. Ahmed Johnson w/ Savio Vega -- No Holds Barred
After their Royal Rumble match ended in DQ, these two go at it again with the rule book thrown out. Vega hasn't joined the Nation of Domination,
so Johnson brings him along to neutralize Crush. When Johnson has Faarooq beat, Vega betrays him and costs him the match, joining the Nation and
further stretching out this feud.
Bret Hart def. Sycho Sid (c) -- WWF Title
The Royal Rumble plays out as it did in the real world, with Austin cheating to beat Hart at the end. Rather than have Shawn Michaels vacate the
title, I have Sid goad an injured and unprepared Michaels into an impromptu defense and win the title that way, leaving Final Four a No. 1
contenders' match, which Hart wins. Hart triumphs over Sid in the end, but during the match -- and in the weeks leading up to it -- Hart takes
on more and more of a heel edge, and he definitely bends the rules to win the match. That prompts his heel turn as champion the next night on RAW,
which I think had to happen. Sid's going off TV for a little while anyway, so his being a heel won't interfere; it can be a newly face
Austin who targets a newly heel Hart.

Wrestlemania 18... another stacked card. So much talent, it explains the brand extension eight days later. Obviously, there's no
Rock-Hogan here, and some matches require explanation - but then again, don't most of them?
William Regal (c) d. Jeff Hardy - Intercontinental Championship
Hardy had played around in singles for a while, and since I can't use Rob Van Dam here, I'll use a reasonable facsimile. Regal retains,
and as Hardy exits up the ramp, he's attacked by a debuting Brock Lesnar (a bigger stage than the Raw the night after, as it occurred in real
life). Oh, and I'll have RVD beat Regal for the gold 24 hours later, too.
Tajiri d. Maven - Cruiserweight/Hardcore Championship unification match
RVD started unifying everything that night by first winning the IC title. We'll do it a different way here, as Tajiri wasn't even on the
real WM 18 card. With this unification, that eliminates the past-its-date 24/7 rule for the Hardcore strap, and there is one less belt in the
WWF/E.
Rob Van Dam d. Christian
I had to take them both of their respective title challenges, so I figured, let's make a great match by putting them together. A high-flying,
evenly-fought contest between two guys in their prime, RVD beats the whiny hometown kid.
Billy and Chuck (c) d. Spike Dudley/Tazz - Tag-Team Championship
I'm using the other tag-teams elsewhere - the champs were involved in a four-corners match on the real card - so this becomes an almost
ordinary title defense. However, it gets Tazz on one last Wrestlemania card, as he did retire from the ring not too long after... and he'd be
somewhat protected in a tag match.
The Undertaker d. the Rock
Flair's out, Rock's in. 'Taker had been challenging Flair to a match for weeks leading up to WM; in my reality, I'd have the
Rock accept the challenge on his behalf. There'd be chaos and shenanigans, and Taker would extend the heretofore-unmentioned "streak"; Rock
gets kayfabe-written off for a while, promoting "The Scorpion King" in real life.
Kurt Angle d. Curt Hennig
At this point, Mr. Perfect was a jobber to the stars after a fine return at the Royal Rumble. I'm pitting them against each other simply
because it'd still be a damn good match. I'm also pretending that Angle lost his World title match to Edge leading up to
Wrestlemania, to be explained later.
Triple H and Ric Flair d. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash
In my world, HHH loses his WM title shot to Kurt Angle at No Way Out the month before. The NWO, under Vince McMahon's authority, makes
Flair's life a living hell until face HHH steps up to team with his idol against his former best friends. Putting this together protects the
aging Flair and the semi-injured Nash, leaving Triple H and Hall to do the bulk of the work. Also, it gets Austin out of a blah match with Hall.
Diamond Dallas Page d. Booker T - European Championship
This is better than fighting over a shampoo commercial. After all those years in WCW, the two would have great chemistry, you'd get a great
wrestling match after the stunt-casting tag match before it, and DDP retains.
The Big Show and the Dudley Boyz vs. Kane and the APA (double-countout)
Six of the biggest, meanest, toughest guys on the roster just beating the crap out of each other for about ten minutes before the action spills
outside.
Steve Austin d. Hulk Hogan

Maybe a cheat, in that I'm just taking Lita out of the "real match" - and I suppose I could have put Molly Holly here instead - but damn, this
didtake place in Toronto. Why not give Stratus the crowd-pleasing title win in her hometown at Wrestle-freakin'-mania?
Chris Jericho d. Edge - World Championship
Alright, so I've manipulated events to get Edge in as the challenger, because, quite frankly, the other good world contender-type guys were
better suited elsewhere. Maybe it's too early to put Edge in this spot, given that he didn't win his first World title until 2006, four
years after WM 18. But on the other hand, he did win "King of the Ring" the year before ,and he did unify the IC and US titles in 2001, too -
obviously, Vince saw something in him. And with all that other talent on the card, you can go with a IC-like World championship defense between two
dynamic workers who might not be considered "World"-type guys. Jericho retains - for now - and Edge gets elevated up the card that much sooner;
better than a match between Jericho and HHH over Stephanie and her dog.

Wrestlemania 14
Taka Michinoku (c) def. Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor -- Light Heavyweight Title, Triple Threat
Christopher and Taylor aren't teaming as Too Much yet in this world, but they come together shortly after this match (a la John Morrison and the
Miz at Survivor Series 2007). This is just a nice, fast-paced cruiserweight match to get things started.
Terry Funk, Bradshaw & the Rock 'n' Roll Express def. Jeff Jarrett, Barry Windham & the New Midnight Express w/ Jim Cornette
This is my "get 'em all on the card" match, replacing the tag team battle royal, and pitting the ill-fated NWA stable against three opponents
they feuded with plus Terry Funk, who needs something to do (and who can easily be slotted in for whatever reason). Jarrett had left the stable by
this point in the real world, but I'll hold off on that and have his team's loss here be the catalyst for his departure.
Triple H (c) w/ Chyna def. Steve Blackman -- European Title
HHH needs an opponent. Blackman doesn't have anything better to do. 1998-era Blackman kinda sucked, so we'll keep this match short.
Legion of Doom 2000 w/ Sunny def. New Age Outlaws (c) -- World Tag Team Titles
After being beaten and humiliated by the Outlaws a few months back, LOD returns with a vengeance and recaptures the titles.
Sable w/ Marc Mero def. Luna w/ The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust
I'm copping out and just switching the mixed tag to one-on-one because Sable has to get on the card somehow and Luna is the only viable
opponent. This match will be terrible, and peppered with as much Mero/Goldust interference as possible to distract from that.
The Rock (c) def. Faarooq -- Intercontinental Title
The rest of the Nation of Domination is ringside as their leader squares off against the champ. Inevitably, they all side with Rock and cost Faarooq
the match, booting him out of the Nation afterward.
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Ken Shamrock -- guest referee Mike Tyson
Austin eliminates Shamrock from the Royal Rumble, and Shamrock comes back and costs Austin the match, turning heel in the process. They have a
hellacious brawl here, but there's no stopping the Austin train, so he has to pick up the win, and he hands Shamrock his first pinfall loss in
the WWF in the process. I thought about making this a submission match and having Austin win with the Sharpshooter, but I don't think it's
realistic to book Shamrock to tap out, and I don't want to have him just pass out in the hold, because they just did that finish the year
before. Oh, and Tyson's there, too. Honestly, he kinda makes more sense for an Austin-Shamrock contest than for an Austin-Michaels contest.
The Undertaker & Kane w/ Paul Bearer def. Vader & Mankind
'Taker wants to stop Kane's reign of terror in the WWF, but he refuses to fight his brother, so Bearer offers him a way out: Come back
under Bearer's management and join forces with Kane, and Kane will stop destroying folk at random. 'Taker reluctantly acquiesces
(it's worth noting that the "lock him in a casket and set it on fire" thing never happens to write 'Taker out at the Rumble). The duo
are quickly targeted by Bearer's now-babyface old clients, but nothing can stop the Brothers of Destruction and they win handily here, keeping
both strong for the inevitable split.
Owen Hart def. Shawn Michaels w/ Chyna (c) -- WWF Title
If Austin isn't going to beat Michaels here, Hart is the only option, and that's fine with me as I was a huge Hart fan. So Hart wins the
Rumble and vows to beat Michaels and restore his family's pride, or something, and that's exactly what he does. Cue the confetti.

Edge did have a MOTYC that same year and did just fine sharing the stage with Hogan and Rockin promos and matches. It'd probably be a
''just get your feet wet'' short Title Reign that guys like Foley and Eddie got but it'd be unlikely that he'd
bomb and the hometown boy winning the Title would probably be the only thing that would revive the crowd after the Hogan match.

HEAT: D'Lo Brown w/ Ivory def. Droz
Nothing match.
HEAT: The Acolytes def. Too Much
Nothing match that also happens to be heel vs. heel, but it's the Attitude Era, so who cares.
Val Venis & The Godfather def. Goldust & Bluedust w/ Ryan Shamrock
Seems like the conflicting personalities of these guys would make for an entertaining contest, so let's go with it.
Al Snow def. Gangrel -- Hardcore Match
This was supposed to be the Hardcore Title match, but it just becomes a hardcore match with no titles on the line when Billy Gunn wins the title from
Al Snow shortly before Wrestlemania. Yes, I know he won it from Hardcore Holly in the real world, but I don't care, I only have to keep the
champions the same, I don't have to keep the pre-show belt-switching the same. Gangrel just needs something to do.
The Big Boss Man, Ken Shamrock & Test def. X-Pac & the New Age Outlaws (c) -- Intercontinental and Hardcore Titles
It's the Corporation vs. D-Generation X in a preview of the main event. Mr. McMahon forces D-X to put its newly won titles on the line, which
motivates the Road Dogg and Billy Gunn to bring it, but they end up losing because X-Pac doesn't seem to put in as much effort. That leads to
X-Pac, not Triple H, betraying D-X in favor of the Corporation shortly thereafter.
Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart w/ Debra (c) def. Public Enemy -- World Tag Team Titles
Sure, why not? Jarrett and Hart need opponents, might as well be the newly debuted Public Enemy. Public Enemy's not about to win the belts,
though, as they don't have much future with the company.
Shane McMahon w/ Mean Streets Posse (c) def. Mankind -- European Title, Greenwich Street Fight
Tell me this wouldn't have been a wild brawl. I don't feel good about jobbing Mankind to Shane at Wrestlemania, but I don't want to
put the European Title on Mankind, so it has to happen. I'll have the Big Show appear toward the end to cost Mankind the match; it won't
be a retread of his costing Mankind the WWF Title a few weeks prior, because Mankind's not going to have won the title back after losing it to
the Rock at the Royal Rumble.
Sable & Tori def. Pretty Mean Sisters
Uh, not a lot of good options here. So we'll keep Sable face, team her with Tori and have them take on PMS in a match that Jacqueline is going
to have to carry. As a favor to Jacqueline for her putting up with these shenanigans, I'll have Terri Runnels take the pinfall.
The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer def. Kane -- Casket Match
Kane, as a sympathetic heel forced to join the Corporation, is dispatched by Mr. McMahon to deal with an out-of-control 'Taker. It'll be
better than the 'Taker-Bossman match, at least. Kane puts up a valiant fight, but interference from the Ministry -- either the Brood or Viscera
-- seals it for 'Taker.
Bart Gunn & Butterbean def. Steve Williams & Hardcore Holly
Holly finds a new attitude, Gunn returns to challenge him, Williams returns to challenge Gunn and Gunn brings in Butterbean as an ally to face the
both of them. It could be good! It'll be better than what actually we got from Butterbean, anyway!
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. The Big Show w/ Mr. McMahon
If Austin isn't going to be in the main event, this is the best match for him: a challenge from the newly debuted Big Show, backed by McMahon.
Austin wins, of course, but it's a hard-fought contest that makes both guys look like a million bucks.
Triple H def. The Rock w/ Chyna (c) -- WWF Title, special referee Mr. McMahon
HHH defies the odds to win the Rumble and get a shot at the Rock on the grandest stage of them all. Chyna is in the Rock's corner, having
betrayed D-X in favor of the Corporation as in the real world, but when McMahon's crooked officiating seems to have HHH doomed, she switches
back to even the odds. HHH's big moment, then, comes with him as a face, rather than as a heel.

worked ridiculously well. Why the WWE gave away Austin/Big Show on free TV (and had Show job, no less) right after his debut will forever be a

I've always been of the opinion that if Austin's meteoric rise to the top hadn't been in full swing, Michaels/Owen would have been
the main event of WrestleMania XIV. In the aftermath of the Montreal Screwjob, that storyline would have just written itself so damn easily.
And now, here's my stab at WrestleMania X-7, a card that's so great in it's original incarnation that I thought it would be
fun to attempt to re-book it.
Test (c) vs William Regal, European title match: Having Regal wrestling for the European title makes sense and this could have been a stiff,
solid opener.
The Hardys/Edge and Christian vs The Right To Censor: The storyline here could have been the RTC declaring war on anyone they saw as
"inappropriate" role models in the WWE. They would have attacked both the Hardys and Edge and Christian in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania,
leading to the two teams uniting against their common foe.
Raven (c) vs Perry Saturn, Hardcore title match: This match would have been a nod to their ECW and WCW history together. Honestly not much
storyline needed here, just ten minutes of Raven and Saturn beating the crap out of each other.
Kurt Angle vs Tazz: This match may have been too late in the grand scheme of things, but I would have these two reignite their feud at some
point leading up to WrestleMania, with Angle wanting to claim revenge on the one guy he never got the best of (and who ended his undefeated streak),
Tazz.
Chris Jericho (c) vs Eddie Guerrero, TLC match for the Intercontinental title: Since I'm taking the Hardys/Dudleys/E&C; TLC match off of
the card, this is about the most worthy replacement I could think of.
The Dudleys (c) vs The APA, WWE Tag Team titles match: This was the match I wanted to do on my re-booked WrestleMania XX card, but neither team
were tag champions. So here it is three years earlier, in a face vs face contest between two ass-kicking teams.
Triple H vs Chris Benoit: After the initial heel turn of the Radicals due to Triple H giving them all jobs, the storyline here would be Triple
H bossing Benoit around one too many times, resulting in him going back face and taking on Triple H at WrestleMania.
Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon: Heavily deviating from the actual WrestleMania X-7 storyline, this would be the ultimate, final blowoff between
Austin and Vince. Bonus: Vince had just purchased WCW days before WrestleMania, so I would have a WCW wrestler (maybe Booker T) make a surprise run-in
during the match on behalf of Vince.
The Rock (c) vs The Undertaker, WWE title match: Kind of like Rock/Hogan from WrestleMania X-8, nothing could really top the original match we
got in Rock/Austin, but this is probably the closest replacement. Title vs Streak, Rock vs Taker, in front of 70,000 fans in Texas.

Rey was injured and Hardy was serving a suspension so if this card looks a little light it's because WWE had the bad luck of losing two big
players a month before the big show.
Wrestlemania 24
Extreme Six -Man:La Familia(Chavo and the Edgeheads)vs CM Punk & The WGTT An extension of the Chavo vs Punk feud as Punk finds allies to even
up the numbers.
US Title Match: MVP(c) vs Matt Hardy The conclusion to their fun feud that WWE decided to blow off on an off month ppv.
Money in The Bank Match: Ken Kennedy vs Batista vs Kane vs Finlay vs Jamie Noble vs Miz Noble had a mini push going on during this time and
would be the high spots guys as Batista dominates as the favorite only to get screwed by Kennedy
Battle of the Behemonths: Big Show vs Umaga
This is one hossfight I wish we would have gotten. With Umaga's agility and height difference it could have been like a bear vs a honey
badger.
IC Title Match: Chris Jericho(c) vs John Morisson
Should be a great showcase for Morisson and give Jericho his first classic match since coming back.
John Cena&Mayweather; vs JBL and Mark Henry
Cena was pretty limited around this time(his WM match was barely 14 minutes) so might aswell pair him up with MayWeather for an attraction match close
to the Main Event card. World's Strongest Man should make a fine counterpoint to Floyd's ''best pound for pounf
fighter'' reputation and JBL will get all the heat needed for this match.
Streak Match:The Undertaker vs HHH
Didn't want to do Taker vs Cena/Jericho again so we these two have their second WM encounter three years earlier, only this it has actual build
up.
World Title Match:Edge(c) vs Shawn Michaels
This is simple, the two best performers in the Main Event scene squaring off.
WWE Title vs Career:Randy Orton (c) vs Ric Flair
Why not take the Flair retirement angle to the highest point and have Flair try to make it 17th? This is as compelling as a World Title match could be
with Orton. The years of history between the two and the unsure result as it's either Orton walking out as Champion(of the Main Event not a
semi-main event) or Flair doing the unthinkable and winning the WWE Championship at WrestlefuckingMania in his 60s.

year. But I can only have one main event, and it makes more sense to me for the title match to be the main rather than Big Show's WWF debut,

Perry Saturn & Eddie Guerrero def. Road Dogg & X-Pac w/ Tori
I'm bringing in the Radicalz as faces and keeping them that way, at least for now, so might as well have them face off against D-Generation X,
who have nothing better to do. Newcomers take this one.
Crash Holly (c) def. Hardcore Holly -- Hardcore Title
I'm making this one-on-one instead of a time-limited, title-switching mess. But it's still going to be a title-switching mess with
appearances from Viscera, Prince Albert, the Big Boss Man, Al Snow, Steve Blackman, the Headbangers and the Mean Streets Posse. Maybe the British
Bulldog, too, if he was healthy, which I don't remember. I'm not going to bother to book all the 24/7 changes, but it's going to end
with Crash still the champion.
Dean Malenko (c) def. Essa Rios w/ Lita, Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki -- Light Heavyweight Title, Six-Pack
Challenge
Now here's a multi-man schmozz. It's one fall to a finish, so the action gets frenetic, but Malenko retains.
Test w/ Trish Stratus def. Kane
Rather than forming T&A;, I'm having Trish take on just Test as a client, promising to help him get to the top after he came so close back in the
fall. She pushes him to make a statement, and he makes one by beating the hell out of Kane, leading to this match. I figure Test loses all his
momentum if Kane beats him here, so I'll have Test go over, with Kane probably getting his win back somewhere down the road. I liked Test.
Don't judge me.
Chyna def. Ivory, Jacqueline and Luna w/ Gangrel -- No. 1 Contender, Fatal Four-Way
Yay! Another multi-person match! The Kat and Terri can get the hell off my card; they're being replaced with women who can actually wrestle.
Winner gets a shot at Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, which I'm sure Chyna would have loved.
The Big Show def. Rikishi
Rikishi had a rocket strapped to his pockmarked ass at this point, so I figure he deserves a spotlight match. I can't guarantee the match will
be great, but I think the fans could get behind it. Big Show wins, but he has to throw absolutely everything he has at Rikishi to do it.
Chris Benoit def. Tazz
Former WCW Champion vs. former ECW Champion. With proper build, this would have been huge. Benoit's got more upside potential, so he takes this
one after a hard-fought contest. I'm thinking both guys are faces, but you could make Tazz a heel if necessary.
Edge & Christian def. the Hardy Boyz w/ Terri, the Dudley Boyz (c) and the A.P.A. -- World Tag Team Titles, Fatal Four-Way Ladder Match
I couldn't think of something that made more sense than what we got, so I'm copping out and just adding the A.P.A. to the mix. With Billy
Gunn injured, these were easily the four biggest teams in the company anyway, so the A.P.A.'s not out of place. It ends the same way the
real-world tag title match did.
Chris Jericho def. Kurt Angle -- Euro-Continental Title, 2/3 Falls
Another cop-out. Yay! I'd have Angle remain undefeated all the way up to this point, beating Jericho for the Intercontinental Title in the
process, and Jericho gets his revenge and the title back (along with the European Title) here with a 2-1 victory. Jericho will accomplish more with
the streak-ending momentum than Tazz did.
The Rock def. Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley (c) -- WWF Title, special referee Mick Foley
This is the match we should have gotten, of course. Rock wins the Royal Rumble for the shot, with no Big Show switcheroo shenanigans, and
there's no unnecessary McMahoning of this bout, though of course Stephanie is still there to support HHH, and either Vince or Linda appoints a
newly-retired Foley as guest referee. Foley fends off D-X when they try to interfere, leaving HHH at Rock's mercy. Rock Bottom, People's
Elbow, new champion, big Rock 'n' Sock Connection hug to end the show.

Now for the Silver edition, Wrestlemania 25. The roster is suprisingly in great shape as you have about 6 Attitude Era legends(Taker, Jericho, Show,
Kane, HHH, and Shawn), 6 bonafide stars of the new era(Cena, Hardy, Edge, JBL, Rey and Orton) one guy on the verge of breaking out(Punk) a couple of
workhorses(Benjamin, Morisson,and Christian) and a bonus Ricky Steamboat who can still kickass.
Wrestlemania 25
Miss Wrestlemania Instead of the stupid Santina angle, we use this match to showcase the returning Gail Kim who eliminates over a dozen Divas
to imediately cement herself after her long absence.
Money in The Bank Match: Randy Orton vs Christian vs Kane vs Matt Hardy vs Evan Bourne vs Shelton Benjamin Perfect blend of starpower and high
flyers
Legends vs Jerks:Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper, and Jimmy Snuka vs Big Show and Miz&Morisson;
Piper and Snuka are quickly taken care of to let Steamboat have his moment and eliminate 2 out of 3 of the heels before falling.
IC Title Match: JBL(c) vs Kofi Kingston
Kofi takes Rey's place as the one scoring a one minute victory over JBL after he had cut a lengthy promo to pop the crowd.
Grudge Match:Shawn Michaels vs CM Punk
Straight Edge Evil Punk comes early and targets the reformed HBK. Will likely be the match of the night.
Streak Match:The Undertaker vs John Cena
Cannot honestly think of anything better these two could do but face each other even though I already did it forWM23. What we lose in the workrate
glory that was Taker vs HBK, we get in the anything can happen feeling of Cena looking to end the Streak.
World Title Match:Edge(c) vs Rey Mysterio
Watch the end of the Chamber match in 09. The ending sequence between these two was fucking incredible. Off the momentum that match provided we move
on to this. WWE's best heel vs the purest babyface.
WWE Title Match:HHH (c) vs Jeff Hardy
HHH turns heel and decimates Jeff to get the Title at the Rumble in some multiman match. Heel HHH vs molten lava hot Jeff Hardy is the perfect Main
Event for one of the biggest WMs ever.

Wrestlemania 26
IC Title Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs Christian Instead of making Drew another bit player in the MITB match, let's give him a nice
opportunity to showcase himself against a more than capable opponent.
Money in The Bank Match: Sheamus vs Miz vs Show vs Kane vs Evan Bourne vs Shelton Benjamin vs Matt Hardy Make this a monster win for
Sheamus.The guy excels at strength and brutality spots. Plenty of opportunity to do this here.
Randy Orton vs Kofi Kingston Orton doesn't get away from putting over Kofi in this timeline.
No Holds Barred:Mr. McMahon vs John Cena
I'm shocked this never happened(besides a throwaway match on RAW once). My favorite part about imaging this is the possibility of the fans
cheering for Mr. McMahon himself over Cena.
DX vs The Hardy Dynasty w/Bret Hart
Bret sticked around for half the year, why not have him be heel for a part of it and look for misguided revenge?
Streak vs Mask:The Undertaker vs Rey Mysterio
Taker losing the Streak to Rey would seem unthinkable but so would WWE giving up their sweet money maker that is masked Mysterio.
World Title Match:Chris Jericho(c) vs CM Punk vs Edge
Would probably give Benoit/HBK/HHH a run for it's money as the greatest triple threat in WM history.
WWE Title Match:Batista (c) vs John Morisson
For the life of me I can't think of anything somebody like Orton or Batista have that Morisson doesn't. Yeah he wasn't consistent on
the mic, but neither were those two. He simply wasn't one of their chosen ones. He was over, he had already wrestled PPV Main Event-worthy
matches, they just had to pull the trigger.

Shawn Michaels vs. CM Punk is one we never got, and one I was never able to work into my own rebooking. More's the pity. Streak vs. Mask would
be interesting, too, if tough to book one's way out of.

No worries, I knew what you meant. I just pointed it out because I did, in fact, agonize over whether to put Stone Cold Steve Austin, easily the
hottest act in the company at that point, in the main event when I knew he couldn't be challenging for the WWF Title per the rules.

Battle Royal
So with WCW bought out shortly before Wrestlemania, Mr. McMahon, drunk with power, decrees that the show will kick off with a battle royal featuring
"the greatest talent" of WCW. Naturally, he's being facetious, and it's a battle royal of terrible WCW gimmicks. This is my equivalent
of the Gimmick Battle Royal, which I didn't know how to rebook, and it has some of the same guys, including Repo Man, Michael Hayes, One Man
Gang, Earthquake, Tugboat and Doink the Clown, albeit most under different gimmicks. Most of these guys were either on good terms with the WWF, under
WCW contract and probably willing to come in for a quick payday, or just likely to have nothing better to do. However, the first signs that McMahon
has bit off more than he can chew start to show here as Mike Awesome -- entered for either his "Fat Chick Thriller" or "That 70's Guy"
gimmick, whichever he had last -- instead runs roughshod over the competition and wins a commanding victory.
The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita def. Edge & Christian, X-Factor and the A.P.A. -- TLC No. 1 Contenders' Match
X-Factor here is X-Pac and Justin Credible; Albert hadn't joined yet. Presumably, this is one hell of a match. Hardy Boyz make the most sense to
win, considering who's coming out of Wrestlemania with the belts. Stay tuned!
William Regal def. Eddie Guerrero -- For the WWF Commissionership
Regal takes offense to Guerrero's lack of manners in some comedy skits, leading to Guerrero turning face to challenge Regal for the right to be
WWF Commissioner. I want Guerrero to win here, but Regal works better as commissioner.
Raven (c) def. Tazz -- Hardcore Title
One-time allies (in the WWF, anyway) do battle over the Hardcore Title. Should be a brutal match, even if it has to be kept short. Raven's got
more future potential, so he wins it.
Rhyno def. Kane
Rather than bring Rhyno in as an ally for Edge & Christian, I'm bringing him in as the rampaging force of nature he was in ECW, and he first
sets his sights on Kane, picking up the win in a hard-fought match.
Spike Dudley def. Crash Holly (c) and Dean Malenko w/ Terri -- Light Heavyweight Title, Triple Threat
I thought about adding Essa Rios and making this one a four-way, but I already have a four-way on the card. It's originally Holly-Malenko in a
rematch, but Dudley finds his way into the match shortly after his surprise debut, and he wins because sure why not.
Molly Holly def. Ivory (c) -- Women's Title
After all Ivory's self-righteousness and disdain for morally impure opponents, she goes up against someone sweet and innocent who finally is
able to take the title off her.
Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle def. the Dudley Boyz (c) -- World Tag Team Titles
Frustrated by their respective losses of the Intercontinental and WWF titles, Benoit and Angle form an alliance and vow to be taken seriously again.
And that's exactly what they do here, besting the Dudleyz to take the tag titles. They'll probably split up and feud with each other
shortly thereafter.
The Undertaker def. Mr. McMahon w/ Haku -- Street Fight
That awful angle with the McMahons and Trish Stratus never happens. Instead, McMahon targets 'Taker heading into 2001, blustering that
he's going to take his company into the future and 'Taker represents the past. McMahon recruits Haku as a weapon to fight 'Taker,
and that's the original plan going in, but it takes on a new dimension when McMahon buys WCW shortly before 'Mania. McMahon starts to go
mad with power, and 'Taker vows to bring him back down to earth. 'Taker wins a gruesome match, with Haku helping to even the odds for
McMahon but not being enough to save him in the end.
The Big Show, Test, Billy Gunn & Chyna def. Right to Censor
Well, somebody needs to give RTC its comeuppance on this card, and it might as well be this ragtag collection of people who didn't have anything
better to do. Chyna's the one motivated to bring down RTC here -- I'm having her target the whole stable for the injury angle in late
2000, not just Ivory -- so she gets the pinfall on Steven Richards.
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Triple H -- Steel Cage Match, special referee Mick Foley
This, not No Way Out, is the blowoff to this long-simmering feud, with Austin finally getting his payback for HHH (by proxy) putting him out of action
a year and a half before. This needs a stipulation, and I think a cage is the way to go; Hell in a Cell is out, as there was just a Hell in a Cell
match at Armageddon. Oh, and Foley's the referee. Why not? Might as well get him on the card somehow. Maybe he can be Plan B after Plan A (Shawn
Michaels) is too drugged up to contribute.
Chris Jericho def. The Rock (c) -- WWF Title
Jericho wins not only the Intercontinental Title, but also the Royal Rumble match, at the Rumble PPV. It builds up to an intense contest with the Rock
that takes into account Jericho's initially targeting the Rock in his debut and also Jericho's rise up to the top of the card. If
I've got the book, I spend the beginning of the year telling the Rock to add some subtle heelishness to his behavior, see if it looks like the
fans will accept a heel turn. If they will, I have him adopt the obnoxious Hollywood big shot gimmick, maybe threaten to leave to film his next movie
with title in hand. If I don't think I can get the fans to boo him, we just make this a face-versus-face bout. Either way, Jericho stands
triumphant at the top of the mountain when all is said and done.

Damn, that was some genius rebooking. Benoit&Angle; team up and Jericho getting his moment are great replacements for what we got. Add the five star
Austin/HHH match from No Way Out and you got a pretty damn good show that can hold it's own against the original.
If anything, at least your ending with Jericho getting his moment in the sun wouldn't be the huge mistake that Austin's heel turn
as(ratings wise of course, I loved the shit out of Heel Austin).

Yeah, considering how balls-out awesome the real-world Wrestlemania X-7 was, I was glad that I was able to work in at least one big moment. Though
it's funny to look at Chris Jericho winning the world title as a big moment from 2016.
Wrestlemania X-8
HEAT: Kane def. Diamond Dallas Page (c) (DQ) -- European Title
I'm turning DDP heel shortly after he wins the title from Christian, keeping his positive-thinking gimmick but making it smarmy and obnoxious.
Kane seeks to shut him up, and though he wins the match, he doesn't win the title as DDP deliberately gets himself disqualified. I thought about
adding the Big Show to this one as well, but I already have a triple threat for a title later in the card and that would be really close to the
previous year's Hardcore Title match, so screw it. Big Show didn't make it onto the real-world Wrestlemania X-8 card anyway.
William Regal (c) def. Mr. Perfect -- Intercontinental Title
This is too good an opportunity to pass up: Decorated former IC champ challenges cocky current champ. And both of them are great workers as a bonus.
Perfect's past his prime, though, so Regal retains.
Rob Van Dam def. Christian
Make up your own storyline. This is just a way to get these guys on the card.
Lance Storm def. Tajiri (c) w/ Torrie Wilson and The Hurricane w/ Mighty Molly -- Cruiserweight Title, Triple Threat
Another match, another paper-thin storyline. But we get Storm as Cruiserweight Champion out of it, which would be fun. And we get a really great
match, which replaces the time-wasting Hardcore Title schmozz on the real-world card.
Kurt Angle def. Ric Flair
Angle begs for a title shot despite losing the Royal Rumble, Flair tells him to pound sand, Angle vows revenge, we get yet another workrate-heavy
match. No way do you have Flair win this one; he's part-time and appearing primarily as an authority figure.
The Undertaker def. Edge
'Taker's been pushing everyone around, and Edge bravely steps up to challenge him. 'Taker wins a hard-fought match, but gives Edge
the ol' Nod of Respect afterward.
Billy & Chuck (c) def. the Dudley Boyz w/ Stacy Keibler -- World Tag Team Titles
No need for the fatal four-way. Just turn the Dudleyz face to challenge Billy & Chuck after more conventional opponents the A.P.A. fall short.
Triple H def. Booker T
Booker spends weeks mocking HHH for his injury, maybe even calling himself the new Cerebral Assassin (insane Booker was always entertaining) until HHH
finally returns to shut him up. Keep in mind this leaves HHH out of the Rumble entirely, and Wrestlemania is his big return.
The Outsiders def. the Hardy Boyz
As the third member of the nWo prepares for his big match -- which I'm sure you can figure out -- the Outsiders spend their time causing
trouble. The Hardyz get tired of it and throw out a challenge, which the Outsiders initially laugh off, but eventually accept when the Hardyz keep
coming back for more. Between Kevin Nash's injury and Scott Hall's drug problems, the match probably won't be great, but the Hardyz
will bump like crazy and make the Outsiders look like major threats.
Jazz (c) def. Lita -- Women's Title
Cop out alert; I'm just removing Trish Stratus from this match. It should be good, at least.
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Hollywood Hogan
Yeah, you saw this one coming. I figure the fans won't turn on Austin like they turned on the Rock, but I'm still thinking we get some
serious crowd appreciation for Hogan tonight and a face turn the next night on RAW.
The Rock def. Chris Jericho (c) -- Undisputed Title
Immediately after winning the Undisputed Title, Jericho gets Mr. McMahon to bar the Rock from future title shots. Rock wins the Rumble to spite him,
prompting another McMahon edict that this match is the Rock's last chance, ever, at the title. And we make it common knowledge that Rock has a
movie to film soon -- which I think he actually did -- so it's plausible that he might vanish for a while after Wrestlemania. Hell, he did the
year before. But the Rock perseveres, taking down Jericho and walking out Undisputed Champion. That movie won't be a problem, as he's
going to drop the belt at Backlash just as real-world champ HHH did, but shhhh, just enjoy it for now.

Wrestlemania 19
HEAT: Rey Mysterio & Los Guerreros def. Matt Hardy & Team Angle w/ Shannon Moore & Crash Holly
This is building to a bigger Mysterio-Hardy match for the Cruiserweight Title at Backlash and a bigger Team Angle-Los Guerreros match somewhere down
the line. I didn't have enough space to fit those title matches on the 'Mania card, so for now, we just get a feelgood, throwaway pre-show
match. I originally had this one as Mysterio & Los Guerreros against Hardy and his MFers, but I figure it makes more sense to get Team Angle out
there.
Jeff Hardy def. Chris Jericho
WWE clearly wanted to push Hardy, and yet he was left off the Wrestlemania card. Well, we'll fix that. Hardy gets a hard-fought win over
Jericho, garnering some solid momentum that he will immediately piss away when he fails a drug test a few weeks later.
The Undertaker def. John Cena
Cena gets a little big for his britches and challengers 'Taker to a match on the big stage. It doesn't turn out well for Cena, but he gets
to look good against 'Taker, which is worth something.
Christian def. Kane, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Scott Steiner and Test w/ Stacy Keibler -- Intercontinental Title, Six-Pack Challenge
We're bringing back the Intercontinental Title a little ahead of schedule to give a few members of the RAW roster something to do. Christian won
in real life, so he might as well win here. Yes, I'm putting Test on the Wrestlemania card again. WWE really wanted to push him in early 2003,
though; it wasn't until he missed an important show that his push and planned feud with Jericho got Shanghaied (and he only missed it because of
a colossal snowstorm! Come on, WWE!).
Rhyno w/ Paul Heyman def. Brock Lesnar -- Hardcore Match
We're bringing Rhyno back to TV as a rampaging force of nature again. Maybe he costs Lesnar the match when Lesnar gets another shot at the WWE
Title, or he gets Lesnar eliminated from the Royal Rumble, or he shows up to make the save when Lesnar has Paul Heyman dead to rights. And yes, as
silly as it looks from 2015, I'm putting Rhyno over. Rhyno needs the momentum more than Lesnar does, and with no DQs, Rhyno can go way over the
top to put Lesnar down. Get A-Train involved to keep Lesnar down if you have to. Lesnar will get his revenge soon enough.
Trish Stratus def. Victoria w/ Steven Richards, Jazz (c) and Molly Holly -- Women's Title, Fatal Four-Way
I'm copping out by just adding Molly Holly to the existing match, which makes it three heels and one face. Trish overcomes the odds to win the
belt anyway.
Hulk Hogan def. The Big Show w/ Mr. McMahon
Rather than put McMahon in the match, I'm having him use Big Show as a proxy, seeing as Big Show has nothing better to do. Hulk Up, bodyslam,
Atomic Legdrop, fin.
Triple H w/ Ric Flair (c) def. Stone Cold Steve Austin -- World Heavyweight Title, Career vs. Title
Austin puts his career on the line for one last shot at glory, but he falls short, thanks in large part to interference from Flair and maybe a
returning Kevin Nash. Post-match, Flair eats a Stunner and Austin gives the fans one last toast.
Shawn Michaels def. The Rock
This is the only time this match could occur, and if I have the opportunity, by God, I'm going to take advantage of it. Rock goes pompous
Hollywood heel in this one, only to be vanquished by Michaels.
Chris Benoit def. Kurt Angle (c) -- WWE Title
Rather than challenge Angle for the title at the Rumble, Benoit wins the Rumble match, finally getting a crack at Angle since their team split up.
This is basically Benoit's big Wrestlemania moment a year early.

Wrestlemania 20
Christian & Matt Hardy def. Booker T & Rob Van Dam (c) -- World Tag Team Titles
Fed up with being underappreciated, and drawing on their own storied history in the tag division, Christian and Hardy decide to team up and target the
new tag champions. The match probably wouldn't get a lot of build, but at least it would be fantastic from a workrate perspective. Christian and
Hardy have to win in order for their team to accomplish anything.
Chavo Guerrero w/ Chavo Classic (c) def. Ultimo Dragon -- Cruiserweight Title
Dragon gets one shining moment in his lackluster WWE run: a Wrestlemania program for the Cruiserweight Title. He's on his way out, though, so
Guerrero retains.
Randy Orton (c) def. Mick Foley -- Intercontinental Title, Hardcore Match
This is their Backlash match moved up a month. Foley corrals the Dudley Boyz to run off Batista and Ric Flair when they try to interfere, but
it's not enough, as Orton gets an RKO Out of Nowhere to retain.
Victoria, Lita & Trish Stratus def. Molly Holly, Jazz and Gail Kim
This is the Divas' showcase match on the card. I'm too lazy to come up with a storyline. And yes, that means we don't get a
Women's Title match, but we also don't have to sit through that stupid Torrie Wilson/Sable-Miss Jackie/Stacy Keibler match, so count your
blessings.
Hardcore Holly def. The Big Show (c) -- United States Title
It kinda seemed like WWE wanted to push Holly after his recovery from the broken neck, but jobbing him out to Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble
probably wasn't the way to do it. Instead, Big Show repeatedly thwarts Holly's attempts to get Lesnar, eventually leading to this program
that sees Holly capture his first singles title that isn't the nigh-meaningless Hardcore Title.
Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty (c) def. Basham Brothers w/ Shaniqua, A.P.A., World's Greatest Tag Team, FBI (Chuck Palumbo & Johnny Stamboli) w/
Nunzio and Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio -- WWE Tag Team Titles, Tag Team Turmoil
This one's not getting a ton of time, so the action will be fast and furious. A.P.A. takes down the Bashams, WGTT beats A.P.A., Kidman &
Mysterio beat WGTT and FBI, and Rikishi & Scotty beat Kidman & Mysterio in the finals. I thought about having WGTT or the cruiserweights win, but a
WGTT win doesn't allow you to draft Shelton Benjamin to RAW a week later, and Mysterio is better served challenging Chavo Guerrero once Ultimo
Dragon has been dispatched.
Kurt Angle def. Shawn Michaels -- Interbrand Match
We're doing this one a year early. Plant the seeds at the Rumble, just like in 2005, then tear the house down.
John Cena def. Brock Lesnar
After falling short 11 months earlier at Backlash, Cena steps up to challenge Lesnar after the latter goes on a tear following his loss of the WWE
Title. With Lesnar preparing to back his bags for the NFL, Cena topples the once-unbeatable monster and gets a big Wrestlemania moment.
Kane def. The Rock
Hm. OK, I can do this. Kane has basically been unstoppable since his unmasking, and no one on the RAW roster looks to be able to stand in his way.
Kane issues a challenge for 'Mania to anyone foolish enough to oppose him, and the Rock answers. Looking at it from 2016, Rock might seem like
an obvious winner, but WWE was really behind Kane at this point and this would also be Rock's last match for another seven and a half years, so
I'm going to have Kane win this one, establishing him as a major threat to the new champion, who is...
Chris Jericho def. Triple H w/ Ric Flair (c) -- World Heavyweight Title
A newly face-turned Jericho wins some sort of No. 1 contenders' match and almost gets laughed out of the building by HHH, who points out that
every time he and Jericho go one-on-one, Jericho loses. Amid nonstop taunting from HHH and the rest of Evolution, Jericho vows that this time will be
different, and at 'Mania, he finally overcomes the odds and brings an end to HHH's reign of terror.
The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer def. Goldberg -- Interbrand Match
This is tough, because I can't unbook 'Taker's being buried alive by Kane at Survivor Series. So maybe Goldberg makes some boast
about being unbeatable one-on-one -- his only two losses in WWE having been in multi-man matches -- and he starts getting mysterious messages that
there's someone out there who no man can beat at Wrestlemania (starting the Streak talk a year early). 'Taker himself isn't going to
show up until Wrestlemania, but you can trot Bearer out in advance to hype up the return of the Dead Man. Goldberg's leaving, of course, so
he's not about to win.
Chris Benoit def. Eddie Guerrero (c) -- WWE Title
Benoit wins the Rumble as scheduled, but stays on SmackDown!. This would work better if he could beat Lesnar for the title, but I have what I have,
and I think a long, drawn-out, face-versus-face contest between Benoit and Guerrero could be enormously satisfying. You could even end 'Mania on
a similar image to the one we got in the real world, with Guerrero congratulating Benoit, but with only one title between them.

Wrestlemania 21
Edge def. Shelton Benjamin (c), Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels -- Intercontinental Title, Fatal Four-Way
Well, for the most part, I just needed a way to get these guys on the card, as I don't have a lot of space to work with. I feel bad about ending
Benjamin's title reign, but I'm not about to put him over these three. Besides, Edge was really on the cusp here, and if he's not
winning Money in the Bank, he needs to win something.
Akebono def. Kane
Mercifully, this is a regular match, not a sumo match. I'm thinking Akebono has a segment on RAW and Kane calls him out, leading to a
pro-wrestler-versus-sumo-wrestler contest. I'm thinking Akebono busts out a Banzai Drop to end it. Kane was always a loyal soldier, so
he'll have no problem putting over the big galoot.
Carlito def. Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Booker T and The Big Show -- Money in the Bank
How's this for a rebook? The first Money in the Bank is a SmackDown! match, not a RAW match. Cena's destined for a world title, so having
him win here would make some sense, but I really think the first MITB holder needs to be a heel, and Carlito is my best (and, with this field, only)
option. Carlito was super over at this point in time, and it's not unthinkable to me that WWE might have put the title on him.
Muhammad Hassan w/ Daivari def. Kurt Angle w/ Hulk Hogan -- Interbrand Match
Angle gets tired of hearing Hassan trash America on RAW, and throws out a special challenge with Hogan as his envoy -- a challenge Hassan is only too
happy to answer. And yes, Hassan is going over. With the benefit of hindsight, it's easy to dismiss Hassan as a joke, but WWE was super serious
about pushing him to the moon, and beating a newly turned Angle at Wrestlemania is definitely a way to do that. The heat Hassan gets from his victory
here -- presumably tainted by Daivari interference -- would be absolutely nuclear.
Trish Stratus (c) def. Molly Holly -- Women's Title
Molly turns face to challenge Trish. Trish and Molly have met before, but with Trish as the face and Molly as the heel, so this is a good role
reversal and an opportunity for Molly to redeem herself after losing her hair at last year's 'Mania. Trish isn't losing the strap
anytime soon, though.
Batista def. John Bradshaw Layfield (c) -- WWE Title
In a backstage segment at the Royal Rumble, JBL mocks Batista as a lackey to Triple H. Batista takes it in good humor, then wins the Rumble and
decides to head to SmackDown! to challenge JBL. JBL's basically beaten everyone else on SmackDown! at this point, so a RAW guy coming in to
challenge him makes sense. Batista gets the victory here and takes his first title.
The Undertaker def. Chris Benoit -- Interbrand Match
After losing in the Rumble match, Benoit says that he made history at Wrestlemania last year, and he aims to do it again this year. After a brief
period of speculation as to what that means, Benoit makes his intentions known when he makes an unscheduled visit to SmackDown! and challenges the man
who has never been beaten at 'Mania. 'Taker was really starting to bring it in the ring at this point, and you could always count on
Benoit to do the same, so the two of them tear the house down here. In the end, 'Taker gets the duke and further lengthens the Streak.
Randy Orton w/ Mick Foley def. Triple H w/ Ric Flair (c) -- World Heavyweight Title
I know, nobody was excited about the prospect of this match, but I think it gets a lot more palatable if booked properly. That means Orton isn't
required to be a milquetoast babyface, and he isn't forced to talk at length. I would have HHH's vacating the title in late 2004 be the
catalyst for Orton's being allowed to challenge for it again, as in the real world, but that doesn't come up until after the Rumble (where
Orton had a match elsewhere on the card, maybe against Flair, and didn't enter the Rumble). Foley, who's developed a newfound respect for
Orton, decides to be in his corner to counteract Flair in HHH's, which is another factor in getting the crowd behind Orton again. In the end,
Orton fulfills his density and vanquishes HHH to recapture the title he got screwed out of months ago.

Taker vs Benoit coming off at Mania 21 coming off Benoit's huge WM20 win really was an obvious match wasn't it? Shame he was wasted in the
MITB match. E
Wrestlemania 27
Scramble Match: Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston vs Kane vs Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus MITB was oficially done at WM after 26, for this one
let's bring back a fun forgotten gimmick match to let some guys shine. It'd no.1 Contendership at the next ppv.

The more I do these rebooked cards, I notice there were a lot of big matches that weren't done with Rey. These two are natural rivals.
John Cena vs CM Punk
These two were having a great mini-program on the way to the Rumble. Let's extend it and have it go all the way to Mania.
Streak Lumberjack Match:The Undertaker vs Wade Barrett
Barrett never loses control of the Nexus and actually makes it bigger. All members are the Lumberjacks for this match. Yes it's as much a
foregone conclusion as most Streak matches but this atleast changes the formula instead of the same faux-''epic'' match. Bonus
this is a great spot for some upcoming star to get a big moment and rebel against the other Lumberjacks giving Taker the opening he needs to win.
World Title Match:Edge vs Chistian
Instead of using the not quite there yet Del Rio, let's have the two best friends duke it out in a mirror image to the WWE Title Match. WWE
didn't know this was Edge's final match so I'll play it fair and not include it in the booking for this one. This is a straight up
Grudge match
WWE Title Match:The Miz (c) vs John Morisson with The Rock as special enforcer
Let's use The Rock's star power to add some sizzle to a Main Event featuring two rising stars. The history between these two and Morrison
being on the cusp of being a top guy and finall making it should satisfy the usual audience while the Rock's presence should do it for
casuals.
