IWA-IWCCW Episodes from 1992
Many of you know that in the late 80's and early 90's I traveled with the IWA-IWCCW working security, setting up rings, and helping out
backstage, and even worked with early ECW until 1995. My nickname posted under my ID is because of a story I posted here about the time I was mistaken
for the masked Mexican wrestler El Diablo who was a jobber alias of Tommy Dreamer whenever they needed to fill a spot on the card. I was carrying his
bag out and kids saw the mask sticking out, and after prodding by Tommy, I ended up signing autographs for an hour as El Diablo while the rest of the
boys laughed. Back in the day the fed had a talent relationship with many territories, mostly the WWF thru Mario Savoldi. Besides up and coming talent
like Tommy, Chris Candido, Tazmaniac, Tom Brandi, Bam Bam Bigelow, Mick Foley, Rocco Rock (he was CHeetah Kid for us), and so many others, we also
worked with future WWE Hall of Famers like Tony Atlas, Greg Valentine, Madusa, Nikolai Volkoff, Jimmy Snuka, The Bushwackers, Koko B. Ware, as well as
guys like Steve "Brooklyn Brawler" Lombardi and others. We also had Mondo Kleen before WWF turned him into Damien Demento. It was a lot of fun and
there are so many stories I could tell, including a great one with Ric Flair in a strip club...but maybe that will be later!
Anyway, I found a bunch of old VHS tapes of the IWA Berks Cable show that were filmed at the Hamburg Fieldhouse, where the WWF recorded all of their
early syndicated matches, and where major events like Piper clocking Snuka with the coconut happened (I was there!). I am in the process of converting
them to DVD, and thought I would share the 3 I have converted so far.
A few notes...the referee Dave Curley and wrestler Dr. Johnny Wildside I went to school with (I was a year ahead), and Nurse Vanessa Feelgood graced
many of the Apter mags back in the day, and I will post a pic of her as she looks today after the videos (she was 19 or 20 in the vids). The girl
Sugar was a stripper Jimmy Deo dating at the time. When you see Tommy Dreamer in the blue trunks, those are the pants his mother made for him. In
Episode 3, you will see me holding up the "Deo's Dungeon" sign I airbrushed for Jimmy's wrestling school during his match. I also left
in all the commercials for a good laugh! And as soon as I find the other tapes, I will post them here. Enjoy the vids!!!

And for reference, here are two recent photos... (click to enlarge)
Me and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas
My good friends, Tom "The Patriot" Brandi (aka Salvatore Sincere, "Chippendale" Tom Brandi) and Dr. Johnny Wildside
And the sign I made that is in Episode 3 is still around. When the Mest Bros. bought Jimmy's wrestling school, they kept the sign, and it still
hangs in the Dungeon today, only missing the real wood blocks and chain around Taz's ankles and wrists.

Just got around to seeing this thread, very cool stuff. Thanks for sharing!
And I dig your 1980's serial killer glasses in some of those pics.
Also, I'm not familiar with Nurse Vanessa Feelgood, but I fully approve.
