Golddust comes out, crowd stays silent.

Uso's come out, crowd boo's. Yeah, that was brilliant. Don't give the Uso's Roman's heat!

Vince just came out. Show over?

But seriously, I was actually feeling the opposite of you until right about now. It felt like a 2 hour raw... well, okay I channel flipped during the video packages, so that might've helped. But barring that, the matches were pretty good, and they kept the yak-yak to a minimum, until the clock struck Vince.

That clock has been future endeavoured. We wish it well in any upcoming projects.

Dammit. I forgot that Layla was evil LayCool. A pox on my house! McCool was the wife of Satantaker, for sure, but Layla... was just misguided and led astray?

I .... may have a slight fondness for Layla. A slight fondness in my pants, Beavis. Huh. Huh huh.

And also, popular opinion says it -was- Mickie. She just looks meaner than I remember her looking, thus why I guessed Heel Diva Ivory. I'll just go stand in the corner of shame, and refresh my memory with the Divas Thread.

She only looks meaner than usual because everyone was supposed to be somber and emotionless for that segment.

Which brings me back around to the original question, because I'm having a brain-cramp as to what that segment even was... I'm getting old and forgetful. Or just forgetful. Or.. I forgot what my next "or" was.

Vince was walking out to his limo to get blown up. London smiled because he's a crazy fuck. Then they ditched the story because Benoit had a meltdown.

Yup, and on a suspended license, no less.

And I'm totally with you on AJ/KO. And I'm totally with the crowd on Ambrose/Strowman. That was painful to watch and a horrible match to main event with. I really hope Strowman isn't getting the monster push we've heard little whispers of.

Ahhhh, okay. That would explain everything I needed explained! I remember the limo 'sploding, but I probably didn't pay attention to a WALKING~! segment, and that would by why it's not in my reference bank.

Haha, thanks. I fixed the BBCode errors.

ETA:Well, after numerous attempts to embed this video without it autoplaying, I've decided to just give ya the text link. It's still unicorn-related.

I still prefer the Legend of Ambrosevania joke, but I can appropriately recognize genius when I see it. This deserves a prize for the sheer amount of work it took, and the absolute hilarity that ensued. Lemme look in the Reward Bag. *looks* OOooohhh... I hope you enjoy cupcakes AND gold stars!

I don't even know how it didn't get squished in there, but something something magic cupcakes? Now excuse me while I head down to DeCiccos' and pick up a Tiny Unicorn for my apartment. I didn't even know they made them in that size. Friggin SWEET.

So is Ambrose main eventing RAW again a big deal...or is the 10pm hour kinda the death spot for RAW and they really don't care who ends the show?

I'm honestly not sure...but if the Vince being down on Roman rumors are true AND Ambrose getting the ME means something...could Triple H retain at Mania?

There's reports that Luke Harper may have seriously injured his leg during the post-RAW dark match main event. Also, a fan was forcibly ejected by security after taking a swing at Braun Strowman during the same match.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see how anyone can be stoked about the IC title being defended in a meaningless ladder match. It's just lazy booking, and gives me the idea that creative either:

A.) Doesn't think Owens/Zayne is worthy of being a singles match, yet thinks Ryback/Kalisto is.

B.) Doesn't think Owens is important enough to be spotlighted in a singles match

C.) Doesn't look at Owens as someone who has a significant future as a STAR

D.) Once again has no idea how to book anyone in the midcard in any sort of meaningful position, so just lumps them all together in what is simply becoming a blur of ladder matches that have no emotional significance to them.

Or, the dreaded..

E.) All of the above

I was super-stoked to think that maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't get some lazy-ass spotfest ladder match at WM again. Maybe we would get a great singles match between Owens/Zayne on the grandest stage of them all. Something that could spotlight both guys and show the guys in Guerrilla that these NXT guys really do matter, and could be a huge benefit in the future, in the same way that matches between Benoit/Angle, Jericho/HBK, Cena/Big Show (sorry, but it was a cool opener and I knew Cena was destined to be a star after that) showed us.

You know what these ladder matches say to me?

"We have no idea how to really use these guys, and don't have the confidence in the current IC champ to have a bankable match to grip the crowd, so let's just put them all together in a ladder match, because our crowds loves ladder spots!"

There is no selling point to this match other than the ladders and the spots that come with them. No one is going to go into this match with a serious story.

To all of the people in favor of this match? Choke down on this opener spotfest while you can. Just know that it won't mean shit for anyone involved. If I end up being wrong, please, I invite you to come back into this thread, quote it into another thread, and totally rub my face in it. But until then?

As happy as I am to see guys like KO, Stardust, Ziggler and Miz getting booked for 'Mania it does take a little shine off of the apple when it's a multi-man ladder match for the IC title. Again. I think a part of the larger problem that I have with how Wrestlemania cards are shaped these days is how "paint-by-numbers" it seems.

    *ARMBaR
    *IC Ladder Match
    *Multi-Tag Match
    *Multi-Diva/Popcorn Match
    *Undertaker Match

It used to be that a ladder match was a special occasion, and last years IC match was fun but the novelty of it all was slighted just a bit just by the fact that we still aren't too far removed from the Money In The Bank Ladder Match being a fixture of Wrestlemania.

To me it just seems like it gives "Creative" a free pass to just put the puzzle pieces in place and not have to worry about breaking a sweat making anything compelling because at this point the event sells itself. To an extent that's true, but they're only going to have so many years before the public grows weary of this and then--*gasp*--they're going to have to start trying again.

I'm sure the match is going to be fun, and to be fair they handled the setup for it tonight surprisingly well given how slapped together it all seemed. But methinks a lot of that has to do with Kevin Owens and how obscenely talented he is.

I do kind of wish they would've swapped Ryder for Fandango though.

Agree with all the points made above.

I have a really tough time remembering memorable 1 vs 1 ladder matches beyond Razor-Shawn, Bret-Shawn, Undertaker-Jeff Hardy, Triple H - The Rock. Those had rivalries and told stories and were not simply spotfests.

That being said, this match could be 20 minutes of fun. Hopefully Owens retains and they don't make someone else the champion just because they can.

I haven't given up hope that AJ Styles and Kewin Owens will give us a killer ladder match for the IC Title at Summerslam after 2-3 months of buildup

Bret Hart - Best Ever, Undertaker - Most Memorable, The Rock - Most Entertaining.

I went back and watch Roman beat down HHH. And maaan, without a positive crowd reaction it was just super uncomfortable. Without that dude being likable, it was just a scary giant guy in all black pulling a guy out of his car while his wife screamed. It was kinda scary, honestly.

F.) Wanted to give some of the midcarders on the roster a bigger spotlight than just a berth in the battle royal, and knows that multi-man ladder matches usually bring the goods even if they're not as "special" as they used to be.

I don't think a monster push starts with the monster getting the shit beaten out of him by Dean Ambrose.

Enjoyed Owens-Styles and Charlotte-Natalya.

HEY, Terry Funk.

If the League Of Nations had any less heat, it'd solve global warming.

Mixed messages; commentators kept saying that New Day's insults had thrown the League off their game, yet they were standing at ringside literally laughing them off. To be fair, that mic work was pretty pedestrian by New Day standards...I fear the writing team has gotten to them.

At least Jericho bothered to play into the narrative by yelling about how Fandango never beat him at Mania.

B.) I'm bummed KO isn't getting a singles match at KOmania as well.

C.) They gave KO a 20 minute match, 2 in ring promos, 2 backstage bits with Steph, and a guest commentary gig tonight he clearly has no future...
