Tiny controllers aside (which for a guy with meat hooks like mine looks worrisome), the system looks very cool.
I think the problem with Nintendo now though is content... you don't necessarily have to have the library that an X-box or PS have, but the lack
of third party's developing for the Wii-U, and Nintendo focusing on other things (like the Switch, and cell phone/tablet games) hurt the brand
(mind you all that Pok�mon Go cash probably helps).
Nintendo might show a bit more in house love for the Switch... Zelda: Breath of Life is clearly getting the dual system treatment, and a Mario game
has been announced, but I haven't heard anything about other developers working on games for them that may not be so easily changed over to
other platforms.
The system also looks like it could be a big of a betrayal to the DS; I mean they just launched the XL last year which would suggest a big push might
be coming, or at least some continued support... but why would they continue with that when their new system is just as portable?

-3 hour battery life at max settings outside the dock, so don't expect this to replace your 3DS (I noticed someone said this may be Nintendo
betraying the New 3DS, so don't worry)
-Nintendo Switch is powered by the performance of the custom Tegra processor. The high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on
the same architecture as the world�s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards.
Basically, it's an NVIDIA Shield, but more modern and Nintendo.

As OO's premiere Nintendo fanboy, I have to put in my two cents. And my two cents is...I dunno. Everything shown looks cool, but I also feel
like the preview video doesn't really go in-depth enough for me to form a full opinion (and apparently Nintendo isn't going to reveal
anymore details about the Switch until next year). I do think Nintendo is kind of overestimating the on-the-go feature though, at least with adults.
95% of my gaming takes place at home, so the portability factor, while nice, really isn't a selling point for me. I guess I was just hoping for
something more besides "you can play it on the go with friends!" because that's not something I'm going to be doing with it.
Seeing Skyrim on a Nintendo system was pretty sweet though.

This feels like a showcase for taking the system someplace and playing 2+ using the joycons.
Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, and a new Splatoon are likely enough to sell the system for most people...but Bomberman and the hope of NBA JAM have me
excited.

I watched the presentation live last night and was disappointed by a few things. One, there was no surprise "holy shit!" type of reveal. I was
really hoping Nintendo was going to bust out something crazy and unexpected like, say, Metroid Prime 4 or a major third party exclusive. Two, going
along with that, I wasn't exactly blown away by the new stuff they did reveal; 1, 2, Switch seems like another Wii Party-type of game and Arms
just looks odd and kinda generic. Lastly, I was bummed they didn't reveal anything about the Switch's virtual console service. Gamecube
games have been rumored for it, so I thought it would have been pretty awesome if Nintendo was like "Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and
Wave Race: Blue Storm will all be available for download on day one!"
Okay, with all that said, there was some very good stuff: that new Zelda trailer is fucking EPIC and the fact that the game is arriving on launch day
with the system is huge. That's a system seller right there and is the type of high-profile launch game that the Wii U didn't have. I
could not be more excited for Breath Of The Wild.
Super Mario Odyssey also looks amazing, if a little odd. The "real world" stuff with Mario running around what appears to be New York seems strange
for a Mario game, but the rest of what was shown looks like pure Mario goodness. This will definitely be a day-one purchase for me and it looks kind
of like a cross between Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy.
I also liked how they revealed that there is much more to the Joy-Con controller than just detaching into smaller controllers. Motion controls, a
built-in camera, the whole HD rumble thing...very cool and it opens up lots of possibilities for gameplay.
All in all, I'd say the presentation really didn't do anything to make me any more or less excited for the Switch than I already was
(okay, the new Zelda being a launch title does make me a bit more excited for it than I already was). I do think the Switch is already way ahead of
where the Wii U was before it's launch, in terms of buzz and excitement, and that it will be a return to home console success for Nintendo.

I'm down, I want one. My kid's birthday is early April, so that's what I'll tell people she wants for it. Perfect gift for a
one-year-old, right?
Zelda (which is her middle name, perfect!) looks amazing obviously. And Super Mario looks really awesome as well. Like Goon said, this system seems
to be bursting out of the gate with a lot of winners, which the Wii U didn't ever really have. In fact, it seems like the entire life of that
system sorta flew under the radar in the video game world.
Is everyone mad here?

Yeah, it's kind of mind-boggling that the Wii U was such a flop after the massive success of the Wii, but I think Nintendo made quite a few
mistakes with that system. And it's a shame, because the tablet controller was actually pretty cool and there were many quality games for it,
but the Wii U was probably Nintendo's biggest flop outside of the Virtual Boy.
But the Switch does have a lot of buzz and excitement around it that I didn't sense with the Wii U (and Breath Of The Wild is probably a big
part of that), so it seems Nintendo is getting back on track with their home console business. And I think releasing the NES Classic four months
before the Switch's release was a pretty smart and shrewd business move on their part to drum up some Nintendo hysteria leading up to March.
