Another mosque in Texas was burned down the other night. Of course, too early to speculate what the cause may have been.

If true then it's not a Trumpkin side-effect. Either a dispute between factions or families within the mosque itself congregation that turned violent. Or a radical sect attacking a moderate one.

You know, everyone says it's not supposed to make sense, like that's the whole point, dude. And I'm just saying, you know, that's like an excuse for lazy storytelling. Just don't sell me shite and tell me it's gold, all right? I might be stoned, but I'm not high. You know what I mean?

Regardless of the cause, this is still a horrible tragedy. And unfortunately, a tragedy that I haven't seen a lot of coverage on here in the States.

The burning down of a mosque in Texas could be laid at his feet.

And the latest I heard is that the shooter is a right-wing trump supporter. I guess we are trying to take care of that trade deficit by exporting Trump supporters.

No export, he is Canadian, simply an admirer of Trump and the like (if social media activity of his is to be believed).

Clearly the answer is a travel ban on Canada, and closing off immigration to white males, right?

The shooter, Alexandre Bissonnette, is a supporter of Marine LaPen, the leader of the French far right party. His posts on social media were frequently anti-Muslim, anti-feminist, and anti-immigration.

Marine LaPen is a far right politician who is running for president of France. She is an anti-Muslim, nationalist xenophobe and the daughter of the former leader of the National Front Jean-Marie LaPen who is a Holocaust denier.

She met with Donald Trump over a friendly cup of coffee at Trump Towers about a week prior to his inauguration.

Man...living in Canada you sometimes wonder how people think we are super polite folks who over use sorry. Then there's this guy, made to look like a terrorist being beyond understanding and forgiving.

I don't blame the police in the misunderstanding, but the rush to be the first to print something and out-scoop other media is reprehensible. While it sounds like he doesn't bear any grudges against the police, here's hoping he considers taking action against any media outlet that printed his name in connection to the attack so that hopefully the next time some story comes along they try and get their facts straight first.

Depending on how fast any intelligence service works and how they monitor media and such, here's hoping he doesn't wind up on any no fly lists, or have any problems crossing entering another country, as I'm betting updates and corrections don't filter out anywhere near as fast as getting someone's name on a list.

I was traveling by Train from Paris to Rome or somewhere (I had to get out and switch trains in Bologna to get to Venice) and there was a general strike in France so my nice French train line private sleeper room was cancelled on me forcing me to scramble and find an Italian train line at the last second- I wound up in a room with 3 other guys who were middle eastern, or African (they would all look like what you would imagine a Muslim to look like however erroneously that might be)- all strangers to one another, all speaking different languages with the exception of us all having French in common to varying broken degrees... I learned a lot during the 8 hours or so from them- coming form a city that was extremely white for much of my life it was a real pleasure to talk to people with different life experiences... long story short, some of them did not have the proper papers which immediate result in machine guns being pointed at all four of us by Italian cops for a few tense minutes... the lesson of how people of other colour/races get treated has always kind of stuck with me. I'll freely admit that when it comes to some PC stuff I'm a bit rough around the edges, favouring individual people over causes, but I just don't get this blanket fear and hatred when you boil it down to the fact that we are all people, and we have so much more in common than we do differences.
