Adam West dies
So we lost another legendary figure this year, as famed 60's Batman icon Adam West passed away at age 88 on Friday. West was not the grim and
brooding dark detective Batman that has been the popular trend since the 80's, but for a lot of us he was THE Batman; even if that image was
shaped years after his series went off the air... I know for me it was a rush to get home from school as a kid as they'd air two episodes back
to back from 4-5pm; which meant I didn't have to twist waiting to see how Batman and Robin would escape whatever evildoers death trap the caped
crusaders we ensnared in.
With Carrie Fisher, Roger Moore, and now West all passing away in the last year it feels like we're all losing some of the last connections to
our childhoods; the only saving grace is that these icons will live on forever.
