So, from the moment I first heard it, Samoa Joe's music hit the right spot. It reminded me of a segment from a King Kong ripoff movie I loved as
a kid.

There's definitely Kaiju references in there, but much more similar to Godzilla than Kong music.

Joe's WWE entrance music is heavily based on the song he used in the indies as his entrance theme, "Simon Says" from Pharoahe Monch:

I can see the Godzilla nods for sure now that you posted the link. I still think there's more resemblance to the Peking Man segment through.
Guess if Joe is a Kaiju fan, he's sure to know about Peking Man too?

Samoa Joe mentioned on a recent Talk is Jericho podcast that he definitely took his theme from Godzilla (he's a big Godzilla fan).
