From the Seats(Forum Column Hey its great if u got nuthin better to do)
Hey, I dunno if I'll be any good at this but I'm gonna give it a shot. Twice a week I'm gonna post a little forum column right here. It's
basically gonna be my take on the week. I'll have one every Tuesday and Saturday so here we go.
I'm sure everyone else has noticed how stale the WWF has become, but I think they are actually close to pulling it around if they just realize it,
however knowing the WWF they will blow it and look like idiots. The person who could save the WWF is none other than Chris Jericho!
Now I'll admit as of now Jericho is not quite there but he is damn sure close!!! The best idea would be to let him go on and form the Canadian
Mafia w/ Storm, Christian, and Test. Not only does it give Jericho a leader role, it also offers the other 3 some meaning and also some potential for
a good tag combination which the WWF sorely lacks.
I also like that Jericho seems very vulnerable ***bEEcOZZ*** if played up right the fans will pay just to see him get his ass kicked only to sneak away w/
the belts. I say pull another Honky Tonk Man and have the fans about to riot every time Jericho wins, only this time the matches will be better b/c
Jericho is a hell of a worker. Plus remember how well the Hart Foundation got over??? I think if they tweaked it enough the Canadian Mafia could be a
great Horsemen and Hart Foundation mix.
Another thing the Canadian Mafia will need is a great enforcer, and who better than Canada's own Chris Benoit. Now before I get crucified for
putting Benoit in the roll of a follower let me explain. With Benoit as an enforcer, he can eventually turn on Jericho and go baby face and can get a
strong positive reaction due to the fans hatred for Jericho. Plus Benoit can destroy team Canada and Jericho can avoid him at all costs allowing
benoit to come off as a killer. Finally Benoit gets his chance and kills Jericho for the title.
The sad thing is i can't see the WWF going through w/ this scenario ***bEEcOZZ*** it would take a lot of building and heaven forbid someone get a title
reign longer than a few months. Well I hope you enjoyed my little opinion. I'd love feedback either on here or e-mailed to me, ***bEEcOZZ*** if it's liked
I'll keep it up. See ya and this is how it looked from the seats.

I'd Have to agree with Nirvana here.
I'm going over the board and I'm seeing, "Well they should do this with a new NWO!" "Do this with a New Four Horsemen!" Do this with a new
DX!"
Folks, we don't need a new reincarnation of any old stables or cliques. Remember NWO and 'Getting the band back together'? How about the last
incarnation of the Horsemen (Benoit, Malenko, Flair and the embarrassing Mongo McMicheals?) Or DX's last attempt at recapturing the magic that held
WWF fans captivated? All were met with collective shrugs and apathy from both the smarts and the casual fans. Why? because these groups have already
served their purpose. They burned brightly for their time (The Horsemen for the longest) but it's no use trying to relight the candle when the wick
isn't there anymore.
No, what the WWF needs are new groups, new factions, Fresh ideas that the fans will actually stand up and say, "Hey, this in interesting!" instead
of "What the hell, didn't this die out 2 years ago?" And what better way to start then have our new Unified Champion lead his fellow canadians into
a year of dominance.
Dan (Although, Raven bringing the Flock/Nest back would be pretty cool too^_^)

A "Canadian Mafia", if gimmicked as a pro-Canada anti-American stable would be recycled as well.
Just stick the four of them together in a Horsemen type stable. Leave Benoit out of it, he's fine on his own. Besides, Test has been portrayed as
somewhat of a monster as of late, he would make a fine "enforcer".

No I'm not saying thy should be anti america, I'm saying canadian groups can work and I love Benoit but he does need a little somethin extra to
push him to the next level.

Old Groups
Well, I'll disagree with one thing, I believe that some of the old groups if done correctly could once again spark the fans and give the WWF new
direction (even with an old startegy). Take for example DX. A new DX led by HHH and/or Shawn Michaels would get the fans going. The reason the last
incarnation of DX failed is because of the way it was handled and presented. If it was doen right, DX could rise again.
The Canadian mafia idea is also a very good one. We've seen how Benoit and Jericho work well together, Test has potential and Storm and Christian
are decent wrestlers both in the ring and on the mic as well.

I like the "Canadian Mafia" thing, and I don't see any reason to limit it to four guys, but I don't think they need to involve everyone Canadian
either. Basically I would like to see Benoit and Trish Status included, but I don't want Edge. Test is the perfect "enforcer" because he has
immunity, I'd be a great way to highlight the stipulation. Personally I'd like if they never admit and completly deny the "Canadian" connection,
if they act like they don't know what people are talking aboot when they bring it up. I'd give Kevin Kelly and the rest something else to drone on
aboot.

I would much rather see Benoit work against the Canadian Mafia. Put him into a feud with them, align him with RVD, whatever. But if you're going to
get Benoit/Jericho or Benoit/Storm out of it, who's going to complain?
Chris Benoit, if given a hot return, can be over enough to go on his own, IMO.

Great idea as long as Edge is kept out of it. After he battles Angle at the Rumble he could be kinda like a lone gunman against the Mafia to raise
his status. He would never get to Y2J but fighting against a heel faction would finally give him the upper-card status he needs.
