After 2 months of build-up about Nash returning as an enforcer for a new group headed by Angle, Nash finally shows up at the end of that weeks
episode of Smackdown!, only to trip over a monitor cable on the way to the ring. This causes him to fall facefirst into the steel post, sending him
into a coma, which he never recovers from.
Vince decides to turn it into an angle, with the by payoff being that the headliner for the 2003 Royal Rumble being a "pull the plug" battle royal,
with the winner being the guy who in real life gets to pull the plug on Nash's worthless body. But, so many people hate Nash and want him dead, they
have to have 3 matches of 30 people each, with there being a final match between the winners.
Man, that would be a great way to handle Nash.
