Actually Montreal let him go to deal with a personal matter, only suspending him to be able to have an active body on the roster and not lose
Sam's rights.

columnist that mentions that Sam may have had issues with some team mates. They also mention Chad Johnson and point out that Sam would have been on
the roster.
Basically, everything points to Sam getting an over extended chance to learn the Canadian game (and yes, there is a learning curve) and SOMETHING
happened that made the fit not work. Maybe Sam didn't want to deal with the struggle...maybe Montreal's staff didn't think he was
good enough to take up a roster space.
Either way, we don't know.

He couldn't even make it in the CFL. So sad. Maybe Arena Football wants the circus to come to their town next. Turns out being a one-trick pony
in college might have its limitations in the pros.
