For the record: nitpicking is fine. Nitpicking is good. For instance: unless I missed an episode (which is possible if it was in the past 2-3 years),
can anybody tell me if Barney is a reformed alcoholic or a relapsed alcoholic?
I was railing against a specific type of fan who, I can only hope, does not frequent OO. The test: do you habitually abbreviate "The Simpsons" as
"OFF"? If not: you're fine. If so, you may eat my shorts.
Though the idea of "canon" and "continuity" on a show that has had something like 8 different Christmas Adventures (all of them distinct, one of
them even involving Sir Gary Coleman, and all without anybody ever getting any older) does sort of make me chuckle....
Though I guess we are coming up on the point where it could be revealed (via flashback) that Bart was not conceived as a result of "Empire Strikes
Back"... but instead as a result of the 1998 re-release of "Empire Strikes Back."
Also: I had an idea at some ricockulous hour on Saturday night/Sunday morning that the next forums titles should all be Stephen Colbert related. Many
of them should be self-evident to you Highly Intelligent Readers, but the reason the idea survived my Drunkening that night was because I got
perversely giggly about the notion that the "Feedback About OO" forum should be subtitled "I Accept Your Apology."

Ryan, your suggestion of "Cheating Death....." is unacceptable, even if only because it strikes too close to home for me. If I could be sponsored by
Prescott Pharmaceuticals or pop vicodins like Colbert has lately, I'd be a MUCH happier man.
Alas: I have (1) a conscience, (2) willpower, and (3) an inhuman tolerance for enduring pain as long as it makes me look macho.
I have no timetable for this change, and think we should ride The Simpsons at least until the movie drops out of theatres. That's fine. But once
we need to reload, I think we've got a good foothold on our next theme.
