Without having clicked on the link, is his leg even still made out of bone? It seems after a leg snap like what he suffered, it would've been
replaced with titanium

I loved Sid about 10 years ago... he's just so past his prime now. Just fucking wow, TNA. And I'm pretty sure he has a plate or two in
that leg. He's done some very light wrestling since then, but nothing like before.

If they want to pay him to just stand around and look intimidating he could be a good bodyguard for somebody and there's no problem. If
they're bringing him in to wrestle... yikes. Especially if they're going to do the inevitable Sid-Nash match you just know they'll
want to do.

Sid Justice vs Hulk Hogan. On PPV. In 2010.
The fact that this is even possible just makes me sad.
But as Chris said, give him to a heel Amazing Red and it could have potential. Anything else - no no no!

I believe that was foretold as one of the sure signs of the apocalypse.

Am I to believe that OO does not want to see Steiner and Sid hook it up one more time? The Big Bad Booty Daddy vs the Master of the Squirrels, to
settle the score for old time's sake. No? To see how many things break and give Matte's alter-ego a new avatar. No? OK, fine.
It really does seem like there are two TNAs right now. One that puts on two amazing matches on PPV back-to-back, and one that inexplicably signs
wrestlers who were last popular and able to work a match about the time that today's middle school students were born.

I was in Indy for Wrestlemania 8. The Ultimate Warrior made his return to save Hogan from a post match beat down at the hands of Sid. The Undertaker
beat Jake the Snake after kicking out of several DDTs.
That was a really long time ago.

Assuming that this is a) true and b) more than a one-shot deal, I'm not totally averse to the idea of Sid in TNA. As long as he's kept in
some kind of enforcer role and is around just to powerbomb and chokeslam the hell out of people, as well as cut hilariously bad promos, then I'd
likely welcome him in TNA.
What can I say? I've always had a soft spot for the big lug.

I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have to worry about the apocalypse because Sid in TNA would mean the terrorists have won.

Alright, Lucky, I'm feeling more and more like TNA is just begging us to do the WCW comparisons, and I want to hear the defense of this one.
Sid? In 2009? Seriously?

You being a lawyer-type and everything, don't you normally have to wait for something to actually happen before you defend it?

I've been thinking the same thing. For every AJ/Daniels or Angle/Wolfe match, I have to sit through endless Hogan hype, Jim Neidhart
appearances, and a Raven/Mick Foley feud.

Following Riot Act's lead, assuming this is (a) true and (b) more than a one shot deal I'm way too ill and weak to even begin to
understand how it makes sense unless as said he's gonna be someone's bodyguard who does the same amount of work as Big Rob and he's
so desperate for wrestling work that he gets paid as much as Big Rob.
But mostly I'll just wait for one of the wrestling newz sites to comment. Wasn't it like a year ago that Sid told us all he was WWE
bound? For the sake of my sanity I'm just going to assume Sid's as much as a shameless self promoter or carnival caller as Hogan is.

Yes, this is usually true; however, given TNA's recent moves, I worry about this one. I'll give Lucky time until this is verified to
bring the full defense (although you're now on the hook, as well).

These are fair reactions, and I hope they're right. Although I do not comment on the TNA posts often, I watch the shows and actually appreciate
the direction that in which they're heading. I just hope that this newz byte is not true, because I don't see how Sid's draw (if it
exists) counteracts the bush-league, dying days of WCW spectre that his signing will harken.

No, the "DYING DAYS OF WCW!" cries will be louder than any possible benefits Sid could possibly bring. If this were a year ago I could maybe see
some benefit in Sid being the bodyguard for the Mafia, a former World Champion who looked scary as shit, could powerbomb bastards every once and
awhile, and rarely step in a ring. Would have at least been an upgrade on the fat security guys and if you could get him at a reasonable price and
not "name price" then it might be worth having SID over generic indie big dude.
And to the same extent I can see him possibly working ok enough as a bodyguard for a Wolfe or a Daniels or some kind of conniving heel in much the
same way that I THINK fans (and Rick) actually suggested he could be used a couple of years ago as Jericho's bodyguard. Mind you, that one had
more reasoning to use Sid since it was during the HBK feud and Lance Cade as Jericho's lackey and Sid would be another guy dug out of
HBK's past... but still, I can certainly see him being used effectively (if the price is right) in the "Big Rob" role by a Daniels or Wolfe
or... I dunno... Dr. Stevie?
But the timing is terrible for it coming off that year of the Mafia/Foley trash, with Hogan and "changes" looming around the corner, and with TNA so
effectively showcasing a formula that could be successful the last month. Its like Neidhart showing up to wrestle Lethal. Do that out of context and
its probably just a silly one-off segment that WWE does all the time and which totally fit Lethal's character. Do it NOW and its
"Hogan's friends are here!" and "so it begins."
But the thing is... I don't really think the "REEKS OF WCW!" cries will ever stop. I get frustrated with it from time to time but I
don't know why. I tried to prove a point awhile back by showing how much of what WWE does in 2009 can be drawn parallel to the failures of WCW.
And my point wasn't to show that WWE was dying but rather that the crap we associate with "killing" WCW is crap that happens in every company
in every era and its a lot like pointing at your friend who coughed because he has a flu and telling him that's exactly how your uncle sounded
right before he died from lung cancer. Looking at a bunch of common symptoms and seeing in them what you want to, because ultimately WWE will ALWAYS
be the center of the wrestling universe for most and TNA will always be the 2nd rate johnny-come-lately that you know is just 6 bad months away from
going out of business. And that won't change until they're the longest running company in America that has been there since a new
generation was born.
So Sid's going to "reek of WCW." Wolfe's going to be a "nobody." Dinero's going to be a "WWE reject." That's just the
way it is and I don't know that it serves any purpose to try to avoid it.
Which doesn't mean I think hiring Sid makes any real sense at ALL for TNA in 2009-2010 even if you can find an unoffensive spot for him.

Look at it this way TNA fans...
If it's 1991 all over again...at least you have some great Hart/Perfect and Flair/Savage matches to look forward to in the future.
...I mean this comically and as some sort of metaphor strangely.
