Raw Hosts Jan 25 - March 15
From wwe.com, the next month or so of guest hosts. Nothing on March 8th though, is it getting preempted by the dog show again?
Jan. 25, 2010: James Roday & Dule Hill
Feb. 1, 2010: William Shatner
Feb. 8, 2010: Carl Edwards
Feb. 15, 2010: Jerry Springer
March 1, 2010: Cheech & Chong
March 15, 2010: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
It was like teabagging a bear cub in front of its mother. The sheer shocking audacity of it is the only thing that saved you.

Jerry Springer and Cheech & Chong? Wow.
Ya know, when this guest host concept first started there were a lot of us making cracks like "just wait til that dude from Twilight is the guest
host" and a lot more of us saying "no, don't give them any ideas!" but now I'm starting to think well, at least that dude would be
somewhat socially/culturally relevant.
Seriously, if the new target audience is that 8-13 demograph, wouldn't it make sense to try to attract guest hosts that these kids are
familiar with instead of people who were famous when their parents (or in the case of ZZ Top and Cheech & Chong, their grandparents) were kids? Shaq,
Big Ben, Mike Tyson, and John Heder were all good ideas in the sense that the current target audience was going to know who they were. But I
can't imagine a typical 12 year-old today being excited about Jerry Springer hosting Raw considering that Springer hasn't even been
popular since about 1996 or so.
I really can't fathom WWE's line of thinking on these guest hosts at all.

You always beat me by minutes, Chris.
When I joked that Santino should try to mess with Don Johnson by dressing up as domingez but put on a poncho and bring out a giant bong I'm not
sure even half of this place got the reference. If they do the "dave's not here" line what percentage of the audience will actually have heard
that skit?
Class, Class....SHUT UP!
Man, I don't know if they'll be brilliant or fall even flatter than Miller because no one will know who they are.

I had absolutely no clue who Carl Edwards was, so I looked him up. Another NASCAR guy? Yeah, because that sure worked well the last time.
Is everyone mad here?
Of course they are, and you are too... otherwise, you wouldn't have come here.

End this stuff already. A bunch of nobodies and Austin. I guess at least Austin can play a part in the McMahon/Hart storyline.
I remember Eddie Guerrero.

Well, it's not like WWE has been culturally relevant in a decade either. My guess is the hosts we're getting are the ones who are willing,
and they just run down the C list until they get enough people who take the call to fill out a schedule.
With that said, Shatner could be really good. Punk, don't you DARE call TJ Hooker a nobody!

As a person who hates NASCAR at least they got an actual relevant driver and not someone that even NASCAR fans have never heard of like last time.
And...

Cheech and Chong? Thank God WWE is PG, I wonder how you can honestly get them on the air and not have them do 1 single weed reference.

See the Snoop Dog episode to answer your question. They will just skip around it while clearly referencing it... kind of.

I'd buy that if they were getting absolute no bodies, but they're not. Springer, Tyson, Shatner.. they're of a certain level.
They're just in the wrong era. You have to be choosing to get them instead of seeking out more of the guys like Roday and Hill, Piven and Ken
Jeong, and Seth Green. There ARE C-List celebrities who are relevant in 2010 who would be happy to waste 2 hours on free publicity for their
projects. If TNA has a secondary character from Twilight writing on their website than surely WWE can get a secondary character from Twilight to
host. You know, they might not be able to pull someone huge or someone truly mainstream, but at some point you're actively choosing to pass on
the C List of today and instead go for the people who were relevant 15 or 20 years ago.
The best explanation is it comes back to an old company run by old men who may be "targeting" a young audience but ultimately are much more
comfortable taking the folks they know then
Or I'm sticking with "Vince McMahon has lost his mind and is stuck in 1998". But even in 1998 Cheech and Chong were irrelevant.
On the bright side I mistakenly read "Carl Edwards" as "John Edward" and not being at all surprised that WWE would take an out of relevance con
man I spent 3 minutes furious that he was still getting publicity so he could steal the money of old and lonely women before I realized my mistake.
So by comparison I don't mind a NASCAR driver I never heard of at all.

Yeah but Snoop also had the music to his credibility, which they could play off of.. Cheech and Chong are all about smoking weed.

I actually don't mind any of those hosts. Psych guys can be fun (if they bring their own writers). Shatner is just a hot mess in general who
could be used for good or evil. Carl Edwards (yes the backflip guy) is hot and will make the Cena-squealers squeeeeee as well if he takes off his
shirt (which he should). Jerry Springer, while not relevant for a while, is certainly used to being a host. Since C&C; are comedians, they should
also be pretty natural as performers. And well, Austin is Austin. If they insist on doing this guest host thing, I'm OK with this group of
hosts coming up through WM. They each have the potential to be entertaining, either positively or in a trainwreck kind of way.
FYI, Carl Edwards should be 900x better than Douche#1/Douche#2 from a few months ago. Dude is pretty jacked (as can be seen
here), especially for a NASCAR guy, and at least appears not
to be retarded. If they put him in a tag match with Cena you might see some fainting like it's a Backstreet Boys concert circa 1999.

This is where my problem lies. If you're gonna do the PG bullshit, stick to it. There's nothing PG about Cheech and Chong or Springer.
Besides, without RVD, I can't help but think of this as a missed opportunity.

Cheech and Chong? They should have done Cheech and Johnson and Chong and Heder! For some reason, I think it'd be funny to see Napoleon and
Chong:
"Hey, Chong, you want some ham?"
"Man, Napoleon... are you stoned?"
"No. Do you have some weed. That'd be flippin' sweet."

Cheech and Chong would be a nice way to bring back RVD....but it wont happen.
I, for one am not enjoying the Guest hosts at all. Not being from the USA, I dont know or care for that matter, who some of the past hosts were. Alot
of them, Including the actors, bumbled through lines, having to be supported by DX and JeriShow. Dont get me wrong, JeriShow/DX interaction is almost
always fun to watch, but it shouldnt be needed..Host interaction is ok and obviously needed, but using wrestlers as a verbal crutch is another
thing.
Bret hart signed a contract for multiple weeks didnt he? I wouldnt mind him being Raw Host/GM atleast until Mania.
Even Austin Hosting doesnt make me anticipate anything other than a stunner to Miz or the likes.

I hope that Cheech and Chong's episode is just them getting high backstage with various wrestlers, while they all watch Up In Smoke.

Well, there's nobody penciled in on March 8...
And even if the Dog Show or whatever is on that night, wouldn't they move Raw to SyFy (which is a retarded new spelling for that network)?
Edited to add that Raw is in Portland, Oregon March 8.

Not only Kendrick but also Jeff Hardy. And would have been PERFECT for Punk to do a spot-visit on Raw and "save them."
