My name is Devil Soprano. But you already knew that and it is my DESTINY to win this league.
Or stop paying attention to it by June. One or the other.

In, as the team called Adrian Adonis DNA.
The only issue with moving it back would be if we had some participants in the Pacific Time Zone because any earlier and it will be occuring before 6
there. I'll wait until Wednesday or Thursday...If I hear no objections, I will probably, at that point, still be able to move it back like an
hour...but that's basically all I'd be able to do without making some of the more West people wind up missing the beginning of the draft.

Thanks to everyone who has joined so far.
We still have 8 spots open. Does anyone know of some guys that are usually in it that haven't joined yet? I can PM them and try to increase
the amount of people that way, but I'm unsure of who they might be.

I have 6 openings in a NL-Only Roto league on Yahoo with a $100 waiver budget that drafts today (Sunday 27th) at 5:45 pm EST.
Even if you just want to come for the draft, thats cool with me. This is more for fun and mock drafting than anything.

Hey guys, I just registered under the name Lame Team Name. Looks like you had a nice even number and balanced divisions until I did that. I'll
remove my team if you guys were set with 12. Let me know.

Skid: when you imported the history of Lucky's league, did you also have an option of importing the manager list? If so, there's an option
under Commish Tools to send reminders to all managers who haven't signed up for this year. [If not, I'm sure you can go to last
year's results and get the Yahoo screennames of mangers who aren't signed up this year, if you've got the time/willingness to
manually invite last year's straglers.]
New guy: stick around, and the league format will work itself out. In a pinch, any one of us could drag a non-OO friend into the league to give us an
even number so we can have at least 2 divisions.
And frankly, if we peter out at 16 teams, we could do the 4 divisions and I wouldn't be too disappointed at all... that's enough teams to
be way more challenging than any standard league, but not so challenging that I catch myself knowing things like who the Pirates' 4th outfielder
is, on the off chance that I need to add him to my team, like I did last year.

I actually realized that and did it last night...so hopefully people will see it in their emails by tomorrow and we'll see what it gets up to.
Sent one to Lucky just for the hell of it as well. Otherwise...I may still have the option of changing the date to like Thursday or something to give
it more time to get 16-20 teams. What do you all thing?

Preferably, I'd like to have 16, 18, or 20. If its 14 or 18, I think I'm going to have to change it to just 2 divisions to keep the sides
even (although I don't know it matters.
What does matter is that it is an even number. So if you see that we either do not have 16 by draft time, or an even number, I have no problem at all
with bringing a friend or two in last minute...its better to get more than not complete it. Hopefully some more OOers will join as its always good to
get some of the same people back...but we'll see. I'll put out another message in the Raw thread tonight to see if anymore want to
join.
Of course, if they really want to join, they could just make an account here like other lurkers that have joined or posted to join the league, if your
friends would like to do that, that makes sense too. Always good to expand OOs message boards with new wrestling fans.

Yeah, this particular OO league has never been for money...and I have no desire to organize nor collect...so...probably not going to happen.
Here's the deal though...we need at least 1 more team, but not 2, and perhaps 3...because I'm not kicking OOMike out to keep an even
number, but we need the even number to draft tonight.
So Horseman...if you're around and still have a friend that wants to join...you can do so. If anyone knows another OOer that hasn't
joined yet...please tell them.
If we have more join and there is still an odd number, I'll have to drop the last person...but hopefully we'll wind up with one more and
be good. 16 is a nice even number for 4 divisions.
If there's no other issues, see you all tonight in the draft chat.

What was the reasoning behind the sheer number of SPs that are mandatory for our roster?
Because it's completely throwing off my draft planning here. Not that I do well in fantasy baseball anyway, but still.

SKid, you should cap the league limit at 16. That way we would avoid the two-more-owners-signing up and pushing back the draft scenario.
If by chance more people do want to sign up between now and 7 pm MST, they could post here or U2U SKid to get in.

Starting sometime between 7-8 PM EST, if we do not have a 16th, I'm going to publically open it up until I get one, then cap it.
If we get 2 more in the next few hours and not an 18th, I'll have no choice but to cut the last guy. No need to set a limit yet as it'll
only slow things down to getting to that point.
I have no intention of pushing back the draft unless there was major desire to by a everyone.
Qonas - I only imported the league settings we've always had. Sorry if it's bad...I didn't make them up...but for
consistency-sake...its what it is.

Oh yeah, I remember them from last year and remember how bad they ended up making my team since everyone was scooping up SPs and I got left with
dregs. And I'm not asking for it to be changed, considering I'm the new guy who's only played 1 year here and didn't even want
to play this year.
I was just curious if anyone had an explanation as to why, especially considering that with the high number of players in the league SPs will
go down fast. It seems to insanely change the value of the position during the draft.

If anyone out there REALLY enjoys playing with The Rick, I could use somewhere between 1 and 3 warm bodies to flesh out an experimental weighted
points league I've decided to toy with. Not all of my friends from our real league wanted to play along with my stupidity.
League ID: 83485
Password: test
or just go directly to:
http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/register/tos?league_id=83485&password;=test
Keep in mind this is NOT your standard league, and is an attempt by me to create a more realistic game: 25-man rosters defined as realistically as
possible (only 1 BN spot to give you flexibility, which is really all the flexibility any team has when trying to finalize its roster), and scoring
categories and point values that are estimates of SABR-approved weighted means for batting and pitching categories geared towards requiring a
full/realistic staff, complete with bullpen. You'll need to know your set-up men and middle relievers, and NOT just for HLDs.
Fair warning: while I'd like everybody to participate at a fairly serious level, this is more about experimentation than about competition. To
this end, I even retain the right to change the point values, mid-season, if it turns out my original values are not working. If you're gonna be
some kind of hyper-competitive stickler, this might not be for you; but if you want to come and be a part of a Work In Progress, then sign up and help
me perfect a new scoring system all while giving it the old college try when it comes to winning.
First come, first served. There's 7 of us in, and I've capped the league at 10 teams. I'll append the full settings/scoring system
below so you can see exactly what you'd be getting yourself into.
