Yep. Great pics dude! Which one are you, by the way? Hopefully not the bloke that's passed out, getting a hairy man ass in his face.

Haha no, thats our friend Mike, who never EVER learns - he was having his first beer at 8am before breakfast, most of us woke up, went and got some food, then started drinking about midday. So when 4pm came he was smashed, and we were all fine. It happens every time and that's one of the nicer pics we have of him. There are ones from house parties with dicks in his face and all sorts...

The guy baring his ass is about to be a dad... God help that child.

I'm the guy in the Ducks hockey jersey. The girl in the black jacket who likes being hugged is my fiance.

The guy in the ass pic biting his hand is not doing so out of laughter - he was in a bike crash 10 days before the festival, and broke his shoulder - Mike fell asleep on said shoulder, causing considerable pain!

Lou has better photo's of the bands, but I can't seem to link them (I guess you have to own the facebook album). I was just in charge of getting random shots like the teletubbies!

ETA: For those who are interested, here's LOTS of pics from last years download!!

I'll check them out when I get home! Looks like an AWESOME time. I think I would fit in quite well with your group.

I'll start a thread regarding next years awesomeness in Feb/March when they have more of the lineup announced, but they have already confirmed the headliners for Download 2012:
Friday It'll be The Prodigy;
Saturday It'll be Metallica, playing The Black Album from start to finish for the first time in over 15 years;
Sunday sees the return of the ORIGINAL LINE UP of Black Sabbath.

Gonna be awesome...

Download 2012, June 8-12. Headlined by Metallica performing The Black Album in its entirety and the reformation of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne included!! Wanna join me?

Yeah I think it's pretty cool that Metallica is giving some love to the Black Album. Though many of those songs have obviously been overplayed to death, there are some that I think would be very cool to see them play now, i.e. "The God That Failed" and "My Friend Of Misery." Hell, even "The Unforgiven" I don't think they've played in recent years.

I always thought "Through the Never" was one of the best songs on that CD. That would be cool to hear live.

Apparently this is the request of the festival promoters, and Metallica have admitted that they're gonna have to go back and re-learn some of the stuff they haven't played in years. The last time they played at Download they played the entire Master of Puppets album as Korn played a short set do to Jonathon Davis being ill, so this should go down well.

It's the festival's tenth birthday next year, so I imagine they'll pull out all the stops to get a few more BIG names in- not sure they can compete with the past few years though, 2010 saw Aerosmith, RATM and AC/DC headline, 2011 was really all about the return of System of a Down...
