Fantasy FOOtball anyone?
The 2011 version of the OO League of Fantasy Football is up and running ...
The league ID is: 37252
and I'm pretty sure the password is: impact
It's currently set for 16 teams, if we reach that quickly, I'll open it up to 18 and then to 20, but that's as high as I'll go
...
This is, of course, with the understanding that there is going to be a real football season ... The draft is currently set for Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. but
that can be changed once we have everyone on board and can reach a consensus on when we want to have it ...
I am also making the proposal that we rename the league's championship trophy from the Steve Lombardi Trophy to the Lucky Lopez Trophy

I'm in if there's actually football played this year. If not, I suggest an impartial third party simulate all the games on Madden and
report the scores so we can play no matter the labor outcome.

I think I'm going to have to sit out this year. I played three leagues last year (the OO league and two other ones that I do each year) and
that got to be just a BIT too much for me to where is wasn't as much fun. I'm a two-league-maximum guy.
Anyone who lets their hair grow below their ears to where I can't see their ears means they don't wash. If they don't wash, they
stink, and if they stink, I don't want the son-of-a-bitch around me.

Just re-checked the draft time, is there any way to move it off Sunday night? I work then and wouldn't be able to draft.
Also be sure to list the time in the real time zone too, not just your weird moon left coast time zone.

Q ... if you (L)East Coast knuckleheads can't do math and figure out what time the draft is, we (meaning I) don't want you in the league
... I'm kidding of course (or am I?) because right now, we need all the warm bodies we can get our hands on ... Not in a gay way either ...
It's still early in the process - hell, we don't even know if there's going to be a season yet - so I'm hesitant to change to
draft time just yet, but it is still definitely open for debate ... but, again, making fun of the left coast doesn't endear you to the
commissioner who would have fined you $100 for speaking ill of the always beautiful time zone named for the worlds largest ocean ...
so, until further review, 3 p.m. Pacific time on Aug. 21 is currently when the draft is scheduled ... I'm confident that is going to change ...

More than one fantasy fOOtball league?
Does Yahoo have a limit on how many teams you can have per league? Have you considered having more than one OO league?
I participated in the NFL website league last year, and they had an automatic draft, which was appreciated by this newbie. I'm interested in
joining a league, but I'm not really interested in micro-managing it, or doing a lot of trash-talking.
I'm just thinking along the lines of city softball leagues. There's the league that takes everything very seriously in terms of a pure
game, versus the league that requires base runners to carry a cup of non-spilled beer with them around the bases.
Any thoughts?

This happened in a league of mine where I'm the commish. If you (whoever started the league) sent the e-mail invite out to everyone from last
year, it holds their spots, and if someone else tries to join (assuming the max teams was set at 16), it will tell them the league's full.
To let new players join, you (the commish) need to either delete the old teams from last year off the managers list who haven't joined yet, or
increase the max teams.
But nonetheless, if we can't fill up in the next few hours, we may need to push back the draft after all. Maybe try for tomorrow night during
Raw (a time where lots of us tend to be at home)?

Having a bit of trouble here... A little while ago I checked and it said, "37 minutes until your league drafts." But when I try and go in now, all
it says is, "your league hasn't drafted yet," and I can't find anything to click on to get into the draft.
Is everyone mad here?

Sorry about that everyone ... for some reason, Yahoo isn't letting people sign up ... apparently its still waiting for the people who played
last year to come back, which is currently at around 7 people ...
plus, I just moved and don't have Internet access at my house yet, so I'm surreptitiously posting this at work ...
New plan is: I'll reset the draft date for this coming Sunday (it'll probably be an autodraft with waivers for undrafted players) ...
I'm going to try to open up the league to get additional people in ... and finally I'll get gas prices back to around $2 a gallon ...

EDITED TO ADD: I've had to delete the invited teams ... there is currently room for one more if someone wants to join and make it an even 10 ...
After that two people will be required before I change to settings to 12 ... Draft is going to be scheduled for Sunday afternoon depending on
availability, might end up being in the middle of the week ... I am taking requests ...
