Spike pays for a number of salaries. They probably get paid by Universal to continue to run the Impact Zone. Most talent is on a per appearance deal. They make tons of money on merchandise at their tapings/house shows. Their VIP deals are pure profit.

TNA house shows are money machines. It seems most people buy something, and TNA has grab bags and stuff that draw you in. Plus, they do the thing where it's $20 bucks for a picture in the ring, and hundreds (maybe) of people do that every show. Some of that goes to the wrestler, but that's like 2 grand if 100 people do it, and from the shows I've been to, it's more than that.

And like Dev said, those VIP things before PPVs are another huge money earner, because tickets are like 75 bucks or so. At the one I went to a couple years ago, it was 75 for the ticket, then like 20 bucks to get a polaroid with a guy, and then they still sold shirts and stuff. If they make the wrestlers do that for free, that's all profit.
