His face work is so dumb and boring, just one pointless Irish story after another. But also, as a face, he's supposed to be setting an example for kids and instead he's just attacking people from behind for no reason.

He never should have been a chickenshit heel. He should have stayed the way he was when he was putting Jamie Noble on the shelf. Only the WWE would be stupid enough to cast a giant guy like Sheamus as a coward.

Considering all the talk about how Creative works in WWE and who does and does not have creative control, I thought I'd bump this.

Very enlightening read.

And all that hard work they put into Sheamus led him to being a dull babyface that crowd barely cares about much less buy as a replacement for Cena.

The Cena heel turn is still far away, but it's nice knowing they are atleast trying to find somebody to take his spot. Sheamus failed, but maybe the next super face won't.

Don't expect Ryback to be heel much longer. He is now, what Sheamus was 3 years ago. He is who Vince is grooming to be Mr. WWE.

Maybe. I don't think Ryback has the personality or mic skills to be the company's top face.

See, I'm inclined to think that if they thought this, they wouldn't have turned him heel in the first place.

I always felt Ryback was an equivalent of Kane or Big Show in the AE. Somebody who dominated their way to the top, but won't(or weren't) be the main guy. Seeing his ppv record in big matches, I think I'm right.

Sheamus never had trouble putting a sentence together, though, and even as a heel got solid crowd reaction. Ryback came out to crickets last week.

Sheamus has also shown the ability to help those who can't put together sentences mid-promo.

Honestly, Sheamus is just a victim of bad booking like the current super face, Cena.

He is not an elite mic worker, but the first few months after his face turn, he came off as a likeable guy combined with his low risk but entertaining brawling( he had a good match with Tensai!) style he he is a decent choice for company flagbearer. The bad booking just shat on his character by over emphasing his Irish roots and turning him into a bully.
