Playstation Network Flash Sale
I've picked up some great games in the past at low prices during the PSN Flash sales. This time around, I'm not sure what to pick up.
https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/flash-sale/cid=STORE-MSF77008-FLASHSALEWEBLP
I'm thinking the these for my PS3:
Hotline Miami ($4)
Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare ($4)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma / Sigma 2 ($8 each)
Max Payne 3 ($4)
Silent Hill Ps One ($2.40)
Bayonetta ($8)
I'm not going to get all of these, probably only one or two. Suggestions? Maybe something else that's on their list of games on sale?

Haven't played any of those except Undead Nightmare and I know that everyone loves zombies and all, but it got old real quick for me. Ride to
a town, climb up on a roof, shoot waves of zombies in the head. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. I think I went to about 3 towns and just
moved on. And the multiplayer for it was the same, but, you know, multiplayer.

Out of the games you listed, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2 are the only ones I've played, but I'd say pretty much any of those games are a
steal at those prices. Also, browsing the full list some other ones that stood out to me as a damn good deal:
Contra: Shattered Soldier: $4
Double Dragon Neon: $2
Jet Set Radio: $4
Neo Contra: $4
Sonic Adventure: $2
Sonic Adventure 2: $4
And I love when Sony does those flash sales, I've gotten some damn good deals over the years with them. During the last one they did, I got the
Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (which includes MK 1, 2, and 3) for 90 cents.

Hotline Miami is incredible, you should get that, definitely. i personally enjoy Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2, and i've heard nothing but good
things about Bayonetta. i'm sure Cam will be in this thread momentarily to sing Bayonetta's praises!
I need to check out the flash sale, the list i briefly looked at on ign was impressive.

Mirror's Edge! It's only like $6, too. That game is fun as fuck.
Is everyone mad here?
Of course they are, and you are too... otherwise, you wouldn't have come here.

I've beaten all of those games, and I gotta say the best value would be getting Hotline Miami, Max Payne 3, and then Bayonetta.
All 3 of those games are 'core as fuck, but seriously, 16 bucks for all 3 of those masterpieces? You'd be a fool to let that deal pass
you up, man.

If you've only got a PS4 (maybe just me), Hotline Miami is available for $4, but that's really about it. Other than that, they've
got Trine 2 for $4, Trine Enchanted for $5.25, and a few other assorted PSN games for between $3.75 to $5. Nothing really eye catching on the PSN
side, but there's one full sized game worth looking into: Lord of the Fallen (aka an easier Dark Souls 2 with an actual story) is $30. Outside
of that, it's all license movie games they couldn't sell to save their lives.

I never bothered with these sales because of my low gig availability but since my PS3 crashed out a few weeks ago I bought a 500 gig to tide me over
until I feel like upgrading to the 4.
At those prices, I guess I'd be a fool not to buy some cheap stuff sight unseen.

I picked up Hotline Miami, Bayonetta, Max Payne 3, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I had $26 in credit, and bam, used it all there.
I almost got GTA4 for $5 but decided I'll never have time to play that. Hell, I don't know if I'll have time to play these games,
now that I think abou it.
I've got a couple of games at home that need finishing - Shadow of Colossus, Last of Us, Borderlands 2 and some in the unplayed pile - Tomb
Raider, Uncharted 3, Fez - and that's just the PS3. There's still Skyward Sword and Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii that haven't been
touched.
Ah well, it was credit that's been sitting there for a year. No money out of my pocket!

I grabbed Hotline Miami, Max Payne 3, Rayman Origins (I had played the old Wii Raymans Raving Rabids or whatever it was called game and liked it well
enough as a party game but didn't feel like particularly spending $30 or more for another like it. Then I saw some video of gameplay and since
it was only $4, I'm in), the Impossible Game (.60? Sure), the Ultimate Spelunkers version (loved that game as a kid although I never owned it
so I guess I rented it but it brings me back. Downloaded on the Wii a few years back and it was harder than I remember), Night of the Wolf (or
whatever that ones called for $1.75) and I picked up Game of Thrones for $2 but it wasn't in the flash sale so I'm not exactly sure what I
bought with that one.

4 was fun but if you don't think you'll have the time, it's not even worth starting. They are what they are.

Tomb Raider and Uncharted are similar and both really, really fun. Last of Us started out ok but when it gets its legs, it's probably the best
game of the ones you've mentioned, imo. I bought SotC years ago and never played it. Never got into the Borderlands game (shhhhhh, don't
tell Tex), bought the first Mario Galaxy and it was fun but I stopped playing after a few hours. Maybe I'm over those kind of games. Not sure
what Fez is and haven't played Skyward Sword. Still need to beat Twilight Princess as that wagon part was relentless and I put it down. For
what? 7 years now?

I had $11 or so and got a $20 card to use, I inexactly tallied up the math and wound up with .06 left. Uncanny.

I have Rayman Origins and it's a lot of fun. A great platformer and just gorgeous graphics. That's also on my "need to finish" stack,
actually, as I'm about 2/3 of the way through it. It's probably been a year since I've played it.
I put down Twilight Princess around the same place in the game about 8 years ago. (it had to be over 7 years for me, I haven't played it since
I lived in Los Angeles). Wind Waker was the same way, I put it down during the fetch quest at the end of the game. That's what, 10 years now
for that one?
I've been stuck in the same place in Last of Us for a while now. I can't seem to get past it. It's the subway area. I'm
not stealthy enough it seems. Those clickers are a fucking bitch.
I have 8 cents left of credit.

Nice. Beat you by .02! I also bought XComm. Forgot about that one. And about TLoU, just keep plugging away. I'm not that stealthy
either but you'll get there. I'll probably the smaller games first, then Rayman, XComm, then Max Payne as since its a Rockstar game,
I'm sure it'll be long. The only one of theirs I haven't played in the past 5 or 6 years, I think.

There's another flash sale. The Mass Effect trilogy for $5, that new(ish) Duck Tales game for $5, a bunch of Prince of Persia games and Tom
Clancy Splinter Cell games, Borderlands 1 & 2, a bunch of Little Big Planet stuff. A bunch of meh to me. If I get anything, it'll be the Mass
Effect trilogy which I'll never play, the Ducktales (which I kinda wanted but everytime I thought about getting it, I realized I didn't
want it enough to shell out $20 for it), and one of the Hot Shots golf games because the lady and I played one of them awhile back and enjoyed it as a
game we could play together (psssst, she sucks at non Wii games).
I'll probably pass.

I'm thinking about Ducktales. I highly recommend Walking Dead if you like point and click adventrues. The story and voice acting is truly one
of the best out there.
Is Okami HD worth it if you already have Okami on Wii?

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is one of the best jrpgs i've ever played. really beautiful, fun, and whimsical. definitely worth 5
bucks. Okami HD is the same as the Wii version, but with better graphics (duh.) excellent game though.

drob has you covered on Okami. I have the Walking Dead seasons and I just don't care. Got to the parking lot part and it's just too
much talking. "Talk to this guy, talk to that guy. Talk to that girl. You killed my boy while saving that other guy, screw you." Etc.
it's good in theory to me but meh.

Just thought I'd bump this back up because Sony is doing a weekly summer sale right now (the current one ends August 3rd). It doesn't seem
quite as expansive as some of the previous flash sales they've done, but there's still some really good deals to be had, including:
Bloodrayne: $3
Bloodrayne 2: $3
Breath of Fire IV: $3
Dino Crisis: $3
Dino Crisis 2: $3
Double Dragon Neon: $3
Mutant Mudds Deluxe: $3
Resident Evil 3: $3
Tetris Ultimate: $5
I purchased Resident Evil 3 yesterday, because it's kind of hard to pass that up for just a few dollars. And for anyone who hasn't ever
played Double Dragon Neon, it's easily worth a $3 purchase.

I'm kind of mad at myself that I missed the last flash sale that had Geometry Wars 3 for $5.
I might get Double Dragon Neon. I've played that once, and it is pretty fun.

So the summer sale is already over (I assumed it was going to run for all of August, but appears to have only been a two-week thing) but there is a
really good Square Enix sale going on right now:
Chrono Cross: $4.99
Final Fantasy VII: $4.99
Final Fantasy VIII: $4.99
Final Fantasy IX: $4.99
Final Fantasy Tactics: $4.99
Front Mission 3: $2.99
Legend of Mana: $2.99
Parasite Eve: $2.99
Parasite Eve II: $2.99
Vagrant Story: $2.99
There's also a sale going on with the Devil May Cry games and you can get the Devil May Cry HD Collection for $9.99

I own Chrono Cross for the PS1 and still downloaded it, just for the convenience of having it on my PS3 for $5. It's a great game if
you've never played it, though I will say that Chrono Trigger is better (and I find the storyline of Chrono Cross to be pretty confusing later
in the game). Otherwise, I highly recommend it and the soundtrack is fantastic, as would be expected .

Not really a Flash Sale, persay, but if you have a PS4, then Sony is finally getting in on this whole "backwards compatability" thing the X-Box is
doing with 360 games to the one, and is focusing on the right era. Here's the list of 1080p upscaled Playstation 2 games you can buy on
the PS4 today:
Dark Cloud $14.99
Grand Theft Auto III $14.99
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City $14.99
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas $14.99
Rogue Galaxy $14.99
The Mark of Kri $14.99
Twisted Metal: Black $9.99
War of the Monsters $9.99
There is more on the way, and it seems like it took them forever to figure out that, between the original Playstation and the PS2, there were sales to
be had on the PS4, but I guess at least they're finally getting it done.
