The right two teams are in the NFC Title game. So long as the Patriots aren't the AFC team, I might consider watching the Superbowl.

I think the Panther's achilles heel was exposed today. It's their damn secondary. As good as their front 7 is on defense, the back 4 is a complete mess, aside from Josh Norman. If Carson Palmer gets good pass protection, the Panthers might be in trouble next week.

After watching this game that just ended, I have no doubt that the Pats are going to absolutely fucking embarrass the Broncos next weekend.

100% agree with this, though in fairness we did lose both Bene Benwikere and Charles Tillman for the year. But otherwise, yeah, definitely the major weak spot on the Panthers' defense.

Yeah, after watching the Broncos struggle to beat a depleted Steelers team, I think the Patriots are going to destroy them next weekend. And of course I'd love to be proven wrong about that, but I just don't see any other way that game plays out.

The Broncos playing at home gives them a chance. But not a large one.

Well shit... in my face. Well played, Denver.

Wow, I did not see them winning at all, but their defense just fucking ate up Brady the whole game.

In my face as well. Congrats to the Broncos, that was a hell of a victory.

DAMMIT I LOVE MY PANTHERS.

So great to see them spank the Cardinals and move on to the big game. And while Denver's defense scares the shit of out of, I'm way, way, way more okay with losing to the Broncos than I would have been to the Patriots.

Also, I'm sure the NFL and ESPN are already jizzing themselves with the Manning/Cam storyline.

It looks like the Chargers are staying put. Meanwhile, the Raiders are attempting to move to Las Vegas. I'm not sure who would ever want to play for that team, because they would essentially be playing 16 away games a year (since every home game would become "the destination vacation" for fans of the other team). But, from a pure "dollars and cents" standpoint, the move wouldn't be horrible. It would give Vegas their first pro sports team, the concept of home games being away games by virtue of it being a vacation spot would guarantee most games (at least early in the season) would always sell out, and, since Vegas would get a new, state of the art sports stadium built for the games, it would make for an ideal Super Bowl spot.

Of course, there's also the gambling aspect of it all, which is less of a problem and more of a "How greasy do they make the palms" question, but the Raiders to Vegas makes sense. They'd maintain a small, hardcore, crazy fanbase, and sell more tickets in the process.

Ah yes, He Hate Me, aka Rod Smart, who coincidentally played on the Panthers Super Bowl team in 2004. And for some reason the idea of an NFL team in Las Vegas intrigues me, I guess just because Vegas having it's own pro football team seems kinda fun and cool.

And the big game is a week from today, so who does everyone have as the winner? As much as I would absolutely love to see my Panthers win, I have a weird feeling it's going to be the Broncos. All logic tells me the Panthers should win and that this is Cam Newton's time, but I just get the vibe that the Broncos are one of those Super Bowl teams nobody is giving much of a chance to win (like the '98 Broncos or the '08 Giants) and they're gonna win. So there you go, my pick is the Denver Broncos.

I wonder, if the reason there is no pro sports team in Vegas, is because the casinos couldn't take bets on them. I am pretty sure that the only thing you cannot bet on in a Vegas casino is UNLV basketball.

I think Denver wins the same way they've won all their games this year. Their defense will keep them in the game, and their offense will score just enough points to win. I don't think a repeat of that Seahawks train wreck will happen again.

I think the only counter-argument I'd make is that if Carolina gets anywhere near their season points average (31), Denver will need to do a lot of scoring to win. So I think it's gonna be key for the Broncos to hold them to the 14 to 20 point range (which is certainly possible). But I 100% agree with you that this is not going to be a repeat of two years ago with Seattle and that it's going to be a much more competitive game.

All very true. With that in mind, Denver cannot turn the ball over. They don't score enough to make up that difference.

Yep...it hurts to be so right. Kind of laughable that the national media was picking the Panthers to win, to be honest.

Outside of Von Miller, that game was a chore to watch. I feel like that was a very bold "period" to end the horrible run-on sentence that was this season. Hopefully everyone in the NFL tries to do better next year but, at this point, I assume they all have CTE and think they're getting groceries during the game.

Don't forget Kony Ealy - 3 sacks of Manning, a forced fumble, and an interception. Had Carolina somehow came back and won, he would have gotten my vote for MVP.

But, yes - I like good defense, but that felt like a mix between good defense and fairly inept offense. My wife asked me when I got home from my brother's if it was a good game. I thought about it, and replied that no, it wasn't good - but it was close, which made it at least somewhat interesting.

I felt much more comfortable on defense than offense, which never ought to happen. If denver doesn't trade for or draft a quarterback, then I'll be shocked. And what the hell has happened to Demaryus Thomas?

But we won. I'm happy for Manning and the city. And Von Miller will never have to pay for weed again in Denver.

I can't stand Cam Newton. Thought he was a huge cheating douche at Auburn, and think he's a huge dick now. So I was very glad to watch him suck shit and lose last night.

But after seeing him acting like a giant pouting fucking baby in the postgame press conference... I wish I could see him in an infinite loop of losing Super Bowls. Jesus, what a huge, immature bitch he is.

The REAL Cam Newton showed yesterday, both during and after the game. A few solid hits in the early stages of the game got him off track and he never got back on it. Falling all over the field as well as the sidelines when things didn't go right reminded me of my 3 year old nephew when things don't go his way (thankfully he (nephew) is not acting that way after a little talking to from his Uncle). And AFTER the game press conference.... classless.
