your question is yes, it is still a thing. I just can't imagine using it to watch a three-hour PPV anymore after experiencing the goodness that
is the WWE Network for so long.

I use firstrowsports for everything WWE. PPVs, NXT, the CWC, etc. I don't get popups, other than a little X that I have to click before the
stream starts working. It tends to do well. But yes, if you're used to watching on the network, it's gonna suck.

If anything, ordering the PPV to try and help save TNA is a bad move- remember what Herman said happened with the PPV companies and ECW back when they
knew ECW was dying?
Ordering the show won't save them. Don't bother.
I'm certainly not advocating people "pity buying" the event.

Jesus, TNA can't even suck right.
Instead of some big, buzzworthy development(s) upon which we could all gleefully crap, TNA just delivered 3 hours of sheer boredom and predictability,
with zero items meriting any discussion at all. Here's the breakdown:
- Opening 90 minutes of action-heavy indie-tastic action with all the gravitas and shits given of a promotion one notch below ROH, who is
proud if they can draw 300 paid.
- An admittedly well done feel-good segment with Gail Kim becoming a HoF'er, but which mostly reminds me that (a) TNA has a low bar for
HoF'ers, and (b) I must be getting old if there are now three women in Halls of Fame who still instantly give me Wang Plumpage at the mere
mention of their names.
- A lengthy tag title match that I believe some of you would actually enjoy, but with a huge silly pre-taped-but-pretending-to-be-live digression in
the middle -- in which Jeff Hardy pretended to be 3 different people -- that I do not recognize as a valid presentation of pro wrestling.
- A "huge surprise" that everybody already knew about, because TNA even told us so. As an added bonus, the unsurprising surprise was telegraphed,
so everybody knew it was happening a good 2-3 minutes before it did. I love the guy, but good luck having any real success when your entire legally
permissible name is "Cody."
- A main event where everybody (including the live crowd) didn't seem to care so much about the match, as much as they were waiting for the
big, shocking, history-changing revelation that had been so highly touted. It didn't happen. Instead, two hosses who may or may not pass
WWE's Wellness Testing had a disjointed and sloppy slobberknocker ending with the whimper that is Lashley going over totally clean and without
drama.
If TNA has a hand to play, with regards to significantly changing the company's prospects for survival past this set of taping, they did not
bother playing it tonight. They just kept doing exactly the same thing they've been doing forever, and made it impossible for me to invest much
into caring about their product.
FWIW, I started out with cricfree, but they only had a Russian language stream. They were delightfully low on pop-ups and malware, though. I defaulted
to firstrow, and used that for most of the night, getting a decidedly lo-fi English language stream.... but it was a struggle to find the sweet spot
in terms of my deflector shields. At my usual strength, my privacy add-ons actually blocked the stream itself; too low, and the pop-ups and redirects
started. It took me a good 10 minutes of trial and error to find the right set of browser protection to view the stream with minimal security issues.
That said, now that I've done it once, I'm sure I could go to firstrow again tomorrow, and it'd be no issue. Though I have no reason
to think I would ever do so, unless the Dayton Flyers regress as a program and no longer have 22 games on national TV (and the rest on local TV) every
season....
All said, tonight really does just make me appreciate the WWE Network that much more. I never really stole that many PPVs, because if we could get 2
or 3 of us together to watch, it was worth it to pay the $20 each, and when I DID get an illegal stream, it just was not an enjoyable viewing
experience. Gun to my head, if the choice is "Pay for WWE, go to jail for stealing WWE, or don't watch WWE," I would choose to just pay (at
least, for most shows; now that we're up to 19 PPVs per year, I retain the right to just Not Watch some).
Meanwhile, tonight reminds me why TNA is a product I don't feel bad "stealing," once every 3 years or so. If you crack down on the illegal
options, I'll just not watch the same as I don't 11 times out of 12, and not think twice about it. Paying for it is simply not on the
table as an option.

I've been using these guys for the stealing:
http://watchwrestling.uno/
Generally OK most of the time. Picture quality for RAW and SD gets a little wonky and livestreams 1 & 2, which they're "borrowing" from
SkySports in Britain and Ireland, have a tendency to stall and then go off line. I've been starting with livestream 7 lately and it
doesn't seem to have as many issues.

The Great War basically lived up to what I hoped it would be, which was just continuing to push the batshit insanity. Apparently Matt Hardy has
pyrokinetic powers. Also, I have no idea what Jeff reincarnated into, but to me, that was like if Mark Briscoe decided to cosplay as Jeff Hardy.
Aside from that, though, really nothing all that great. Very glad that Lashley retained the title, and did so clean. Or as clean as you can win a No
Holds Barred match. Him spearing EC3 out of the ring so that he could just have the ring to himself before getting announced was absolute gold. I
would so love to see this Lashley back in the WWE.

Evidently Jeff's third persona is called "Itchweeed." Yes, with three E's.
This was my first time watching a TNA show start to finish in at least a couple of years, and...meh. Don't see myself going out of my way to do
so again anytime soon.
The Great War was what it was, which is exactly what I expected it to be; if you enjoyed Final Deletion and Delete or Decay, you probably enjoyed
this. I for one had a blast watching it. My only complaint is why couldn't it have been Senor Benjamin that pulled up in the truck to help Matt,
rather than the worst Dumb Redneck Wrestling Fan stereotype that they could come up with? Or really anyone other than that guy?
Beyond that though, the show was amazingly average. Nothing offensively bad really, a lot of solid wrestling, but nothing that felt like it belonged
on what's supposed to be their biggest show of the year, and definitely nothing that I'd want to pay $40-50 (or whatever they're
charging these days) to watch.

Lashley lost the title last night to Eddie Edwards. The week after their biggest PPV, they have Lashley drop the title to Edwards on free TV.
On one hand, it works in that Lashley got too cocky and took Eddie too lightly and allowed him to get hit by a flash Boston Knee Party, a knee that
should be able to legit knock someone out. It also helps that Lashley was in a competitive No Holds Barred match a few days ago against EC3, so he
wouldn't be at 100%. On the other hand...really, everything else that happened.
-Eddie didn't get nearly enough offense to make this look believable, especially since Eddie's used that move on a few occasions in his
matches against Lashley and its never worked until now.
-Eddie has been on a bit of a losing streak, losing matches to DJZ and Aron Rex, so having him all of a sudden being able to conquer The Destroyer
doesn't make really any sense from a booking sense.
-Unless they follow this up with Lashley either getting the belt back next week in his rematch or Eddie retains in a really competitive match, this
hurts Lashley's momentum, which is not something that they should be doing with their hottest act.
-Most importantly, after Eddie won, they just showed him getting his hand raised in victory and then just cut to black. This is something that TNA
never seems to get, you need to let moments like that breathe, give it time to sink in. There was no follow up at all.

God knows I hate giving TNA the wait and see treatment, given their track record, but I don't hate this. Part of that may be that I'm not
nearly as high on Lashley - he's fine for what he is, but he's definitely benefiting from the big fish in a small pond aspect of TNA (see:
Rex, Aron, another guy I think is overrated). The hottest act in the company is Matt Hardy, for better or worse, but I understand keeping their
sideshow act around the tag titles to see what kind of legs it has.
Eddie sold legit shock at himself at the win. You could easily do it as this being what puts him over the top in believing in himself and let him win
a hard fought rematch. More likely, Moose or someone else will interfere, Lashley will move onto them, and Eddie will drop the title in a month or two
to Mike Bennett because Maria's ass.

I am willing to give this a shot, and if he wins a hard-fought rematch, I'll have no issues, but just as you said, TNA's track record
doesn't fill me with confidence that they'll follow this up well.

Didn't Cody powder out of TNA already to go work for that weirdo British promotion Paige's dad operates?

Yeah, he was saying on his Twitter that he was there for just this taping to do his feud with Bennett and he's not there now.
