And the bracket has been revealed! This is the part where we start fantasy booking our way to the finals (or read the spoilers).

Well, let's go to our Bracketology experts for strong opinions:
* Most exciting first round match-up: It's got to be Ciampa/Gargano as these two partner together in NXT and are very familiar with each other.
Usually, the committee wants to avoid these types of matchups in the first round!
* Potentially most exciting 2nd round match-up: Drew Gulak vs. Zach Sabre, Jr. Gulak is a ring technician, demonstrating a wide variety of skills to
wrestle so well in the US indy scene, but Sabre is one of the hottest prospects out of England since Davy Boy Smith. I can't wait to see this
one.
* Kota Ibushi vs. Brian Kendrick. Kendrick is the former WWE star known for taking a lot of drugs it would seem. Ibushi has been a star in Japan for
many years, even wrestling a blow-up doll to a 4 star match. These two may face each other in the quarterfinals and I am psyched.
Cinderella: Noam Dar. Why? Cause he's been an underdog his entire life.
Final Four Projections: Tajiri, Zach Sabre, Jr., Kota Ibushi and Rich Swann
Winner: Ibushi.
I only signed up so I can read the forum.

IN the Bracketology special, Corey Graves was hilarious
talking about this match. Goes on and on about great a match it will be and then ends with "Personally, I hope they both lose". I was laughing for
a good 5 minutes after that.

I have no idea who most of these guys are and the bracketology special made me want to root for a half dozen of them. I'm hooked.
Final 4
Gallagher
Girv Surhah
Ibushi
TJ Perkins
Winner: TJ Perkins
Odd prediction: Sabre defeats the first brother and then the second brother beats him due to nefarious interference from brother one.
I also feel like I'll be completely wrong and one of the final 4 will be someone whose name was not mentioned at all.

Ibushi is a good guess as the eventual winner. He's not officially under contract with WWE, but he didn't get his release from New Japan
back in February, only to show up in Dallas for WM weekend, without there being some kind of understanding in place. And stop the presses, Dev and I
agree: Ibushi/Sabre is the final I want to see, too.
Ibushi's been working a pretty light freelance schedule, as he's working back from a serious neck injury, so I could see it maybe being a
contingent deal where WWE keeps an eye on how his body seems to be holding up, and if all goes well, he gets to win the tourney, and WWE makes a big
fat hairy deal out of signing him to a contract afterwards. If not, Plan B.
Plan B would probably come out of that bottom right quadrant of the bracket. I suspect WWE purposely loaded the only three NXT performers (Swann,
Gargano, Ciampa) in the field into the same bracket so that nobody already under contract has to lose a match to a lowly outsider. One of
Gargano/Ciampa loses to the other, and the other advances and (probably) loses to Swann, who was given a ton of time on the preview show and could
easily be booked to win the whole thing on the off chance they decide to not do Ibushi on the right side of the bracket.
I have no words to describe how happy Tajiri's return makes me. The fact that WWE has him sticking around after the CWC is delightful, but all signs
point to a very Rhyno-like deal for Tajiri, from what I've heard. He's not earmarked for anything important (so cool your jets on Owens/Tajiri), but
they know that he's a good hand to have "around." He's not advancing past the 3rd round, though, it doesn't seem. Him and Kendrick have the stink of
"Quarterfinals" on them.
But Tajiri/Joe? Tajiri/Nakamura? Tajiri/Aries? Tajiri/Asuka II? Assistant General Manager of NXT Tajiri? Yes, yes, I guess but Aries has really soiled
the bed so far since coming in, OK fine by me,and OH HELL YES!

There's five "alternatives" in the case that any of the original 32 get injured or put on too much weight, according to WWE, during the course
of the competition. They are:
Aaron Solow - guy who is dating Bayley
Jesus Yurnet - Mr. 450/DBZ guy
Jessy Sorensen - guy who broke his neck in TNA
Vandal Ortagun - guy with weird beard
Kai Katana - better Yoshi Tatsu

Just from the first match last night, this just blows the current product out of the water.
-The presentation of it looks very fresh and unique, even more so than NXT. Big fan of the graphics used, has a Street Fighter-esque feel to me, which
as a gamer I approve of greatly.
-With the introductions, the pre-match handshake and the raising the winner's hand gives each match that big-fight feel
-Mauro and Bryan are excellent on commentary. No joking around, just focused directly on the action in the ring and giving the wrestlers the respect
that they deserve. Unlike the commentary that we have on the main roster, Mauro and Bryan were sounding like they were just having the time of their
lives watching this. Also really liked how they brought up the history behind the competitors, and their diversity, like how Saez taught himself by
watching videos online and works as a web & graphic designer in addition to his wrestling career. Also how some of the competitors are experiencing
jet lag, and had to cut weight and how doing so could have an adverse effect on their stamina in the ring, also what their strengths and weaknesses
are. Ibushi is the odds-on favorite, and yet Bryan was able to make you doubt that by mentioning the herniated disc that he's returning from,
and how this could affect him in the long run. Small details like that adds so much to the match, and are sorely missed.
-Its so weird, yet oddly refreshing, to see matches end with moves like German Suplexes.
-Maluta's still pretty green (undershooting that flip dive to the outside showed that), but give him a year or two in the Performance Center and
I think he can become pretty solid.
-All in all, between this and NXT, if this is what Triple H's vision for the company is, then we're in good hands.

It's feel you're 100% correct. It was an excellent show. I thought Maluta was going to be seriously hurt during that spot. I would go one
further and say that Ho Ho Lun could also benefit from a year or two in the Performance Center. His selling was a little underwhelming, but he has a
lot of potential. Ibushi did not disappoint, and the rest of the guys were on top of their games as well. The only one who didn't really do it
for me was Daivari. He seems talented, but he lacked charisma, in my opinion. Otherwise, it was a great show all around. I'm definitely looking
forward to next week.

Agreed on Lun. If I could have one nitpick, it would be that I feel that Davairi should have been the one to advance over Lun. I guess it does add to
the fact that on any given night, anyone can go over.

Bryan explaining that botch as a desperate move from a rookie who's simply outclassed automatically places him leagues most of the commentators.
Quick thinking and he really sold it.

Really enjoyed it. Diavari has a Iranian Randy Orton thing going on. I could see big things for a lot of these guys. On a side note as someone who
generally cares more about the entertainment than the sport, it was refreshing to just allow the wrestling to be the show.

Funniest moment so far was when Ho Ho Lun got taken down with a shoulder block and then proceeded to fix his hair instead of sell the move.

I liked daivari too. I thought Lun looked very very .... setty uppy on his moves...kinda like everything was taking a second longer than it should
have. Daivari had a good presence about him.

So I didn't watch the opening ceremonies one.... they keep saying 20 minute time limit. Don't know if this comes into play but...if
neither win does that mean a double loss? Im assuming obviously that's a yes. Im sold on this CWC.... if I hadn't of known better that
Superkick pin on Ibushi looked like game over. I love how Bryan calls these matches...you guys up above nailed it on him, hes awesome as a color
dude. I was most impressed with the two heels in the middle, ibushi and the Sean Maluta (he did botch that move outside the ring...but Kudos for
Bryan's cover up for it)... and I enjoyed Daivari and the dude trained by Lance Storm Petiot?.... I enjoyed him more than Alexander. Gran
Matalik was fun too.
My rankings based on seeing these dudes first time ever on this show
Ibushi (So Im drinking some Kool-aid here, I actually only saw this time tonight... smiles too much in match for me ...its suppose to be a fight
...Ive noticed Asian fighters do that alot. Kicks did look stiff.)
Matalik (For this night I thought this dude had the best arsenal and presentation. I get the lucha part...not a fan of the mask....masks to me make
it feel more childish...I get the heritage though. I loved his use of the corners and ropes...and I liked his finisher.
Maluta That superkick on Ibushi looked nasty. I liked his facial mannerisms in the match. I felt like he had a good presence in the ring I
wouldn't mind seeing him wrestle again.
Davari I liked his arrogance and heel mannerisms. I thought dude looked like a legit athlete to me and like the dude above him Id enjoy seeing him
again in the future.
Petiot (I thought he had good heel mannerisms and a good presence, his moves seemed crisp)
Alexander (He kinda John Cena'd the win here ....hopefully there is more to this dude)
Ho Ho Lun (too much smiling, awkward timing on moves....to me)
Alehandro Saez (he looked very average to me)
Fun little show so far.

Could be just blowing smoke but Ibushi claims he has no interest in joining WWE full time. The exact quote is ''I dont think I will be
full timer in WWE at all. I have a lot of things left in Japan. I want to wrestle in Japan.''
They made a really big deal out of him in the first episode, but maybe it's just to make him look like the favorite so that predicting the
winner isn't so easy.

I really enjoyed that first episode. I might have missed this, what does the winner of these tournament get? Money? Trophy? A WWE contact? If not
the contract, it's quite possible that someone like Ibushi wins and just goes back to Japan.

I don't know if this is where to discuss CWC, but the first three shows have been a ton of fun to watch. You can tell that Mauro and Bryan are
having a blast on commentary, especially last night with Bryan audibly marking out for Zack Sabre Jr.'s technical sequences.
I wouldn't have believed it if you'd told me a couple of years ago that a Wednesday night of WWE programming would heavily feature Samoa
Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre Jr., Brian Kendrick, and Drew Gulak (with vignettes for Hideo Itami/KENTA and Ember Moon/Athena).

This week was probably the weakest thus far, but that's not to say that it was bad, far from it. It's just that compared to the previous
two weeks, the matches weren't as strong, the second and third matches to be precise.
-Zack Sabre Jr breaking out moves that I in my 20+ years of watching wrestling had never been before. And Dux wasn't a slouch, either. I'm
hoping that both of them get contracts.
-Gulak/Sihra really didn't do it for me. Gulak was fine, but Sihra wasn't keeping up, so that hurt the match.
-Nese/Bennett was easily the weakest on the card. Nese is a fellow Long Islander and his fluidity in the ring impressed me, I think he'd make a
great addition to the NXT roster. Bennett on the other hand...I don't know if it was maybe stage fright or whatever it was, but he just looked
awkward as hell out there.
-From a wrestling standpoint, ZSJ/Dux was the better match, but as far as telling a story, Kendrick/Mendoza was the best of the night. I never thought
that I'd see the day, but I am totally buying Grizzled Veteran Brian Kendrick, and how desperate he is to stay on top that he'll do
whatever it takes to do so. The fact that he looked like he just stepped off the set of The Walking Dead helped as well. The spot where he busted open
Mendoza's mouth by forcing his mouth onto the ringrope and then kicking it was absolutely brutal, and much respect to Mendoza for taking that
spot. Not to also mention Daniel Bryan: Kendrick Superfan.

Fuck me if Kendrick didn't just overshadow everybody else. That somber, almost depressive pre-match promo about this being his last shot to
redeem himself only to start wrestling as a showboating total asshole was great. After all the shows of sportmanship, seeing Kendrick celebrate while
his opponent was still out and bleeding from the mouth was just the best.
I want him to make it all the way to the finals.
