The clear telegraphing of the TJP/Ibushi final match, with TJP winning has been awfully telegraphed from the get-go and one of the few downsides to
the whole presentation.
I'm not seeing what you're talking about with this clear telegraphing thing. Ibushi in the final, sure. TJP, though?
Ok, so I flunked on Ibushi but seriously, right from the first show TJP winning was clearly the plan, and luckily he was injury free to do so.
Man that first match was frustrating, I really can't see why Metalik was chosen to go so far, he really messed up the flow of the opener, and
its 95% credit to TJP for the final being as good as it was.
Lets see what kinda time they're all given on RAW...

I loved this whole Tournament and I'm really happy that Perkins won (he was my Dark Horse pick, especially after taking out Gargano, but I
didn't really think he'd win. I figured it'd be Ibushi vs ZSJ like everyone else did). It's crazy that he was in TNA for so
long and his personality and ability did not shine through like it did in the 5 matches he had in the CWC.
I loved how this tournament was more than just high flying and spots, there was DEEP psychology throughout many of the matches and how it followed
into subsequent matches. I've honestly never really been a Kendrick fan, but he put on one Hell of a show this tournament. The desperation he
showed, especially in the Ibushi match (ie, trapping Ibushi's foot in the guardrail) was something you don't often see.
I was familiar with a lot of these guys bc I have followed different promotions over the years (not so much anymore, but I did know the DGUSA & Evolve
guys), so it was cool to see them perform on this big stage. Nese is fantastic and I'm glad he's shown up on NXT. He's a guy I
think can really be something if they push him the right way.
On first look, I didn't think I was going to like Gallagher. He reminded me too much of Rockstar Spud (being very small and almost
unbelievable, even against other cruisers), but he was great! I loved all his mat based wrestling and his character shined through. He's a guy
I would love to watch on Raw and I think would get really over.
I also loved how WWE basically gave all of us the middle finger by busting everyone's bracket that assumed the final was going to be Ibushi vs
ZSJ (myself included). I honestly, wasn't incredibly surprised that ZSJ lost to Gran Metalik, but I figured they almost had to have Ibushi in
the final. But like I said, I've been a fan of Perkins for awhile (even though I didn't know he was as talented as he is before this
tournament) and I loved how they had him going over a lot of the big draws (Gargano, Swann, Ibushi and then winning the whole thing). If anyone was
going to take out Ibushi, I was glad it was him. I totally marked out for both his wins on Wed.
So yeah, fantastic series overall. I really hope they don't screw it all up on Raw but I'm definitely excited to see how things go. The
cruisers and undercard were the best parts of WCW back in the day (at least they were my favorite part), so imagine those kinds of matches and the
main event guys don't totally suck like Hogan, Luger, Piper, Goldberg, etc? Sign me up for that show!
