OOfficial Discussion Thread for: SmackDown (October 24, 2017)
Tonight on SmackDown: despite last night's all-hands-on-deck invasion of RAW, apparently Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan don't
actually have a set team of 5 in mind for Survivor Series.... instead, spots will be awarded to the winners of matches, starting tonight...
Sami Zayn vs. Randy Orton will determine one spot, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Bobby Roode will decide a second... there also seems to be a high degree of
probability that some interlopers from RAW could show up, either to screw with one of these matches, or to specifically target Shane McMahon, as
revenge for last night....
Additionally, the strange and shifting alliances in the tag division have resulted in the New Day partnering up with the Usos, out of mutual respect,
against upstart punks like Rusev & Engligh and Gable & Benjamin... in fact, they have an 8-man tag match tonight (and it's this kind of stuff
that once again makes me think they MUST be planning on a dedicated tag team elimination match at Survivor Series, even though no such thing was
discussed last night)...
We also know that AJ Styles will get to squash one of the Singhs as he is put in position to eventually challenge for Jinder Mahal's belt
(whee?), and that Sin Cara is getting a rematch against Baron Corbin after scoring a surprise upset last Tuesday (double whee?)...
Oh, and another "Fashion Files," staying in the realm of Tarantino, but transitioning to "Reservoir Dogs" after last week's "Pulp
Fiction"....
That is all. End communication....
The flOOr is yours, OO Nation. Don't wait till after 11pm to post, either. Pre-show previewing and prognosticating is certainly welcome.
So discuss, debate, and rate!

This is gonna be random-ish, but if you like Stranger Things you oughta try the mobile game. I don't watch the show, but the game is getting
great reviews and mentions of how it's a great way to pass the time until the next season, etc. Game is free & ad-free & a 'whole
game'. Anywho! Back to the baseballs for now, because The Yankees are not playing!! We love it when The Yankees have been
eliminated.

Humperdoo!
Not much else to say. Really only here for the gal's matches and the end of show invasion.
EDIT: Definitely looking forward to the Suplex City: New Delhi t-shirts though.

You know, everyone says it's not supposed to make sense, like that's the whole point, dude. And I'm just saying, you know,
that's like an excuse for lazy storytelling. Just don't sell me shite and tell me it's gold, all right? I might be stoned, but
I'm not high. You know what I mean?

First it was Ball-In-Hoop. Now it's Ball-In-Mitt. Cunts, the whole lot of you.
Looks like a lot of you guys are going to be missing a scintillating Jinder promo and Singh Brother match. Your loss, jerks.

That thing with AJ and the sepoy was too short to pay attention to. So,
You just know that Sami was listening to his own entrance theme before Owens walked in. That's something only a great heel would do.
EDIT: hey, what's that red-headed burial victim doing in the SD Zone, Saxton?

I actually
saw all of that!!! Between pitches, because ball-in-glove is so fucking slow. But it's even SLOWER when The Yankees are involved.

1)
I think I have to make that my new Avatar, because I LOVE THAT MOVIE.
B)I hadn't even thought of that, and it would be AMAZING if it really was his own theme he was rocking out to.

Lol at TaNia chucking Charlotte over the barricade and the utterly uninterested security dude. He was literally like, "Miss me with that shit,
Fam."
Why did they make some random jobber Captain of the SD women's team? Anything ca' happen in the WWE.

Let's get it out of the way that I'm fucking dumb. It's something I've struggled with my whole life, so no big deal. So
forgive me when I ask this: Why the fuck does Helluva get pronounced as HelLOUva instead of HellOFa.

I was going to make a joke about how Zack Ryder
must've main evented said house show, but then I remembered he was in on the "raid" on RAM. Jeebus, I can't even...

Probably one of those Americanized Favre/Farve things that make no sense at all.
EDIT: Looked like Orton has an odd circular pattern in his beard. I'll assume he had a cyst removed because it's located too far away for
him to have tried to insert another crayon into his sinuses from there.

I can firmly state that this has also
bugged the FUCK out of me since DAY ONE ISH, and will say it's not a Canadian thing. We say "Hell of a", as far as I have ever known.

My guess is that they're trying their best to hold on to the PG-13 crap as much as they can....
Can't have the kiddies running around doing "Hell of a" Kicks to each other, ya know....

Dickin' around on the interwebs tells me that it's always kinda been pronounced that way. Well that's unsatisfying.
Also, Je suis Sami.
I guess SD gets their invasion next week due to Ball-In-Mitt.

Sami Zayn dancing just makes the whole show for me. His super-cheerful heeling gives me such joy.
Carmella's wrestling gear is, um, enjoyable. Good lawd.
Natalya making herself be announced and declared queen right in Charlotte's face was good heeling. Bonus: she didn't actually talk to do
it.
I'm okay with Sami jobbing, since it wasn't clean but that pause between nutshot and RKO was like waiting for HHH to pin Booker at
Wrestlemania. Less lingering, Randy.

100% this. His over the top dancing got a legit laugh out of me and I hope it remains part of his heel schtick. I said in the HIAC thread that Sami is
going to need to change his theme music if he's turning heel, since it's so mega babyface-ish, but I may have spoke too soon.
And with Sami not making the Survivor Series team this week and Kevin Owens presumably not making it next week, I wonder if they come out to dick over
their Smackdown cohorts during the match at the PPV. Either that, or they somehow still end up on Team Smackdown via nefarious means.
